Rep. Mia Love, the first black female Republican elected to Congress, talked about her recent election ouster on The View Friday

 And while many, including President Donald Trump, think she lost for not more fervently embracing the president's message and policies, Love presented a different reason as to why she thinks she failed to keep her seat

"We're not going to let Democrats off the hook. Because I was actually targeted by Democrats," Love said, when asked about whether or not she needed to be in "lockstep" with the president and his policies

"I need to say this. They targeted me because I was a – because I am a black female Republican

And they replaced me with a middle-aged white male in the state of Utah." Love went on to say, "To me, diversity on the left side is good for them if you think the same way they do

" And viewers had mixed reactions on Twitter. Some took Love's side, saying "she's correct

" Others, on the other hand, suggested plenty of other reasons that she lost her seat

Love also turned heads when she said she was surprised by Trump's negative comments about her in the days following the midterms

"He thought he didn't need me anymore. So he said, 'I don't need her. We'll throw her under the bus,'" Love said

And of course she was asked about the now-famous Trump quote: "Mia Love Gave Me No Love

 "Sharknado" star Tara Reid has filed suit against the Asylum, alleging that her likeness was used without her consent on beer cans and slot machines

 Reid starred in all six installments of the "Sharknado" franchise. According to the suit, her contract included a provision barring the producers from using her likeness on products related to gambling, alcohol, tobacco, or sex, without her written permission

 The suit alleges that the Asylum violated the agreement by signing a deal with U

K. beer manufacturer Northern Monk Brewing Co. to produce "Sharknado" beer. The suit also states that Asylum entered into a contract to put Reid's likeness on slot machines and video gambling devices

The suit alleges that Reid "did not and would not endorse such products."  According to contracts attached to the suit, Reid was paid $125,000 to appear in "Sharknado 5" and $175,000 to appear in the sixth installment, "The Last Sharknado: It's About Time

"  Reid is seeking punitive damages of $100 million, which the suit describes as "an amount sufficiently large to set a public example of deterrence

"  The suit also names Syfy, the channel on which the "Sharknado" films were broadcast, as a defendant, as well as Aristocrat Technologies, the slot machine manufacturer

 The Asylum did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Reports indicate that President Trump plans to nominate William Barr as his next Attorney

General.

Barr, the former George H.W. Bush attorney general, has been critical of the Robert Mueller

Russia probe, and he also backs President Trump's decision to fire former FBI Director

James Comey.

The Hill Reporter reported that Barr, who served as US attorney general from 1991 to

1993 under President George H.W. Bush, is a well respected lawyer among Republicans,

and following his time as AG served as general counsel and executive vice president of Verizon

Communications.

The issue many Democrats and some Republicans may have with a possible Barr nomination are

statements he made in the past about Hillary Clinton, James Comey and the president's

authority to investigate the Uranium One deal.

In November of 2017 Barr told the New York Times he believed there was more basis to

investigate the Uranium One deal that Clinton was allegedly involved in, than whether or

not President Trump colluded with the Russians.

He also said that there would be nothing wrong with then Attorney General Jeff Sessions calling

for an investigation into both Clinton and James Comey in regards to Clinton's private

email server.

Twitter reacted to the news of the likely new AG.

President Donald Trump has told advisers he intends to nominate former attorney general

William Barr as his next attorney general, multiple sources familiar with the matter

tell ABC News.

The presidents' aides had previously floated the idea of Barr retaking his post in the

Justice Department, sources said, with an announcement expected next week.

The Washington Post first reported the news.

Barr did not respond to ABC's request for comment.

A source close to Barr says he is likely to accept the job if offered.

In the early 1990s, as attorney general, Barr supervised Robert Mueller in his work as the

chief prosecutor for the Department of Justice criminal division.

Barr has been somewhat critical of special counsel Mueller's investigation into Russian

meddling in the 2016 elections and has claimed there is more basis to investigate former

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her role in approving the 2010 acquisition of

U.S. uranium stockpiles by a Russian energy company — a complicated deal that has come

to be known simply as Uranium One.

"To the extent it is not pursuing these matters, the department is abdicating its

responsibility," Barr told the New York Times.

He also supported President Trump's move to fire former FBI Director James Comey, writing

in an Op-Ed in the Washington Post that Trump made the right move.

"Unfortunately, beginning in July, when he announced the outcome of the FBI investigation

into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while secretary of state, he

crossed a line that is fundamental to the allocation of authority in the Justice Department,"

Barr wrote

in

the 2017 article.

Yes.... you could probably buy a real Rolls Royce Phantom with the money I spent!!

Is this a Chrysler 300C?

This is actually a 3.5 liter Limited version.

Honestly, even as an American I don't think I've ever driven a Chrysler 300 before.

I think I might have rented a Chrysler 300 rental car before....

A lot of people see this as a rental car...

I've always looked at these Chryslers as rental cars...

Hertz, Budget, Alamo...

Of course those cars aren't like yours....

How long have you owned this car?

I've owned it for 12 years... and did all this work in that time.

No, I paid custom shops to do it for me.

The idea and concept is mine...

So you thought up this theme and design and then had the shops do the work for you?

I chose everything I liked and had them install it for me.

What is this CheckMate theme all about?

Before I designed this interior, I had a chess board set up in the back seat.

I've now moved the chess board area to under the hood!

That's what the square cut out is in the engine compartment?

Yes... and I always see American custom cars have names...

but in Japan, other than lowriders, most people don't have a nickname for their cars....

So I decided to call my car Checkmate!

Yes, but I daily drive it.

Not everyday but most of the time...

45,000 miles so far... I guess you drive it a bit...

In 12 years 45,000 miles isn't a lot...

most of the mileage is from taking it back and forth to shops for work!

What kind of response do you get with this car at shows?

The color pink and white along with the one-off wheels....

They do a lot of custom Chryslers with Rolls Royce looks....

I wanted to build a Japanese version of a car like they build...

I had all the shops here make custom parts to build this car on the same level or even better than Nokturnal...

When I drive through Ginza and Roppongi a lot of people take pictures.

The color of this car makes it stand out but the wheels really set it apart!!!

This car must do pretty well at Custom Car Shows I would think....

Yes... I have already won 31 trophies with this car...

In Nagoya this year I was the top car at the entire show!

Doing good custom work takes time....

some people try to do it all right away, but good work takes time.

Did you buy this as a used car in America and bring it here?

No, I bought it brand new.

I never even drove it when it was all original!

I took it straight to the custom shop and started customizing it right away.

Car customization style varies from owner to owner....

I'm sure a lot of people don't like the design you came up with...

"What is that weird car...? "That guy is weird!"

I'm sure there are a lot of people who say things like that....

But I always say the same thing....

this car may not be for everyone...

but if you like it, that is all that counts!

You aren't bothering anyone with a car like this...

people are entitled to their opinions, but...

if you, as the owner, like this car.... that is what is most important!!

I don't think people need to really make fun of other people's cars....

let's recognize the differences we all share in ideas and design....

Honestly, this design is something I probably wouldn't do myself....

but I really recognize and appreciate the hard work, originality, money and time you spent to create this car!!

Also, despite the large wheels and skinny tires, it drives very well.

Yes, it was important for me to be able to enjoy driving this car.

It does drive very nicely.

Do you enjoy people staring at you all the time?

I don't mind it... and with this car I get stared at all the time!

This is considered a VIP customluxury car.

But I wanted it to be different than most VIP cars you see....

I didn't want to copy anyone else...

I wanted to be completely original!

I don't think I will ever drive another car quite like this one!
