USA news on Youtube Nov 5 2018

the bright side of being sick is that I have a fever and so I get to wear cute

clothes like this Oh chills are so much fun

Hey everyone I'm Kathryn DeSinaasappelen and today we're discussing cultural differences in

voting rights and it's gonna be epic so I'm only going to be sharing the

cultural differences and I just find completely fascinating and amazing but

hey if you find this topic interesting and you'd like to know more leave me

some comments below and I might take your suggestions and do a follow-up

video voting is mandatory in Belgium yeah so

the way it works is in Belgium you register and then you get this little

piece of paper and when voting day comes which magic of editing it's going to

appear on the screen now but prince charming already did his voting a while

ago you take your me work you take your ID and you go vote and then your name is

crossed off you get a stamp on your piece of paper and you go home and it's

done but if you are a lazy individual and you don't go vote you're gonna get

fined I don't know how much that sign is and if you think to yourself I'm just

not going to pay that fine well it's Belgium they'll just send you another

one and if you ignore that one they're just going to keep sending me them and

apparently the line increases 10 euros each time they send it and I think if

you ignore the fines for up to a year they just send you to prison however

this is what I learned in my integration class and as far as my teacher knew she

thought this is how it worked but she wasn't a hundred percent certain and my

Dutch isn't good enough to be able to confirm or

if this is true so I'm going to just present it to you and if you know tell

me in the comments below which is completely different than in America

where it's not mandatory in fact we get bribed to vote because when you vote you

get a sticker and then you can present that sticker to various restaurants and

places and get free stuff yeah I remember when I was younger

doing the voting bloc which is where you would go present your sticker and just

get a whole bunch of free crap like you could get a small coffee you could get a

small popcorn basically you got a lot of food maybe some bookmarks it was just it

was an awesome awesome thing and that doesn't happen here it's just like go

vote or get fined just saying you think they could at least give you a piece of

chocolate or something in Belgium so if you don't know there's sort of this

stereotype that Americans are too lazy to go vote and this really irks me

because the last difference that I'm going to tell you about and that's

voting day for those of you who don't know voting date is on Tuesday in

America and people normally work on Tuesdays and companies have to allow

their employees to go work and as a result when you go to vote you can get

like a little voucher that says like I was voting however while the companies

can't like write you up for fire you or anything they don't necessarily have to

pay you if you weren't there to do your job which is the case for like all

companies so that's something that they don't have to deal with in Europe

because voting isn't on a Sunday which if you're not from Europe the one thing

you have to know is that on Sunday normally nothing is open you might have

a couple bakeries maybe a grocery store but the vast majority of things are just

closed Sunday the town becomes go fill central so there's really no

excuse on my anybody wouldn't go vote you literally have nothing else to do

first is in America most people don't go vote because they're working and they

don't want to be docked pay money was such an interesting thing so I have a

whole bunch of questions for you guys this week first off where are you from

and what is your voting system light its it on the weekend Ursa during the

weekday is it mandatory could you go to jail if you don't do it or is it just

sort of like you can choose whatever tell me in the comments below cuz this

is a subject I really like if you like this video be sure to give it a thumbs

up hit the red button and ring the bell for notifications and I will see you

guys the next one Tot ziens mijn appelsiens

Let the coughing montage begin

Still sick I ran out of cough drops guys

3E @ VRX Boston 2018 - Chip Pedersen, ZeroLight | Th3rdEyeXR - Duration: 2:00.

Hi, my name is Chip Pedersen, I'm Director of Product Production USA for ZeroLight.

ZeroLight is that VRX here today working with BMW. So we created a demo

for their M5 Tour, and they wanted a custom experience for M5 owners to be

able to see the new M5. So they invited M5 owners to come to the event.

They can then go into VR, customize the new M5: colors, alloys, interiors, interact with

the steering wheel, and then kind of go on a simulated drive. So, it shows off our

latest technology, shows off how we can customize the car, and it helps BMW

interact with their customers, and then upgrade to the latest BMW car.

The one thing I like about VRX expo - it's a small kind of boutique expo. So we get to

spend a lot of time talking to people going through the demo, it's not a rush-rush

like at some of the bigger conferences, and also we can schedule time.

So we know when they're coming, you can set aside time to actually do a

longer demo for them. We're seeing more and more people using VR outside of games.

It's really going into the enterprise, it's really starting to go mainstream.

So that's exciting to see that it's breaking out of its niche,

and really going into a larger market, and different markets that you saw before

are now embracing VR and AR, so that's very exciting for us.

We've seen a lot of people from the auto industry here, which has been really helpful.

We've also seen people from large corporations - aerospace, construction, Google, Microsoft -

that us with creating the VR experiences that we do.

Design project of the apartment. Interior in modern classic style - Duration: 2:33.

Interior Workshop Julia Sheveleva

Presents to your attention a design project of an apartment called Cowberry Cream.

The style of this interior is a cozy modern classic.

The interior turned out to be very lively and quite bright, but at the same time it kept its refinement.

An important condition in the planning of the kitchen was the removal of a separate dining area.

Light and warm colors are complemented by accents of purple, blue and green colors.

The facades of kitchen furniture are also bright with panels.

The apron is made of beige relief tiles.

The mood of the whole apartment is felt at the entrance to the hallway.

Here on the floor is a carpet of tiles.

A tall mirror, in a molding frame, widens a small space.

In the bright corridor, attention to itself attracts a blueberry-colored console.

From the hallway into the living room are sliding wide doors with frosted glass binding.

They create a feeling of lightness, let the light through and give solemnity to the interior of the living room.

In the living room there are two zones.

The first is for watching TV.

The second zone is working.

The door to the balcony replaced.

The layout of its bindings repeats the pattern of the interior door.

Panels on the built-in furniture, a wide ceiling cornice and curtains with hooks emphasize the style of the interior.

In the bedroom on one of the walls used the composition of the framework.

The opposite wall is covered with wallpaper with floral patterns.

The perimeter of the room is outlined by a cornice and thin molding.

The doors of the wardrobe are classic in shape, but made in a rich blue color.

The bathroom and the bathroom are separate, but the customer wanted to see them made in the same tile.

For the walls was chosen beige-cream tiles of different formats.

As accents, a relief tile with different geometric patterns was used.

For the floor, we chose bright hexagons of rich lingonberry color.

Millennium - Quello che non uccide (2018) ★★☆☆☆½ - Duration: 1:04.

Someone always has to carry the pain

The past never goes away

for Lisbeth Salander,

abused orphan,

virtuous hacker and avenger.

Hired by a computer scientist

to get back a program

able to breach national security

and hack any nuclear weapon on the planet,

Lisbeth succeeds in the task

but becomes the target of the Spiders,

a criminal organization

that wants to get their hands on the 'file'.

Millennium fans,

welcome back.

After the film versions of the Trilogy,

by Stieg Larsson,

it's Fede Álvarez's turn

to translate for the screen

the novel by David Lagercrantz,

who was chosen to continue the series.

The film

finds again the revolt against injustice,

the contemporary society's contradictions

and the search for truth,

but lacks personality in the writing.

The director chooses simplification,

and without the strength of the characters

and their tension

ready to fight the world,

the saga

slips on the ice.
