Are you dreaming of seeing Lisbon in Portugal?
I'll give you 5 great tips for your next big adventure.
The first tip is about the best time to visit Lisbon:
September to October during autumn in the city.
The weather is perfect!
It is the best wave season for surfers,
and the roasted chestnuts are on the rise.
Write down this tip!
The weather in Lisbon is relatively good over the year
And June and July are the busiest months in the city.
perfect for those who want parties and busy nights.
Speaking of busy nights, between June 12 and 14
happens the famous Festival of Santo Antônio
that shakes the whole city.
It is the largest festival in the country,
the streets are closed and everyone goes out to enjoy music,
grills in the middle of the street,
everyone dancing and lots of animation.
In addition, of course, typical foods of Portugal,
that no one in their right mind can reject.
For those who enjoy gastronomic festivals, the Peixe em Lisboa happens in May,
The Adega Wine & Food Festival takes place in June and July
And there's also the Rock In Rio Lisboa, which runs there every two years.
And speaking of food, know that the
famous Pastéis de Belém are indeed better in the Fábrica de Pastéis de Belém,
the place that created the original recipe.
But Lisbon is much, much more than the famous pastries.
Do not leave Lisbon without try mussels,
the fried sardines heads,
and of course, grilled fish.
A symbol of the city!
It's good, it's incredible,
and you can find it in any restaurant around town.
Choose yours, and enjoy!
And speaking of Pasteis de Belém,
there is an original factory shop at the Lisbon International Airport.
perfect to buy that last minute gift,
and take it back home
or to present your close relatives and friends.
I bought them in the original factory
and then when I went back to Brazil after a few days
they had already lost some of it's original taste.
So the best tip for sure is, if it's for a gift, buy it at the airport.
The last tip is for those who love to make that perfect photo for Instagram.
And look, Lisbon is a city that every corner you turn
the scenery is spectacular!
But there is one more secret:
Take the ferry to the other side of the river,
leaving the Cais do Sodré.
The view is just perfect.
Another famous spot for photos is the Elevator of Santa Justa,
which connects the neighbourhoods of Baixa and Bairro Alto
and offers a panoramic view of the river and the entire city.
I hope you enjoyed the Lisbon tips!
