We'll bring back six deserving artists

I need to show off a little bit,
and I think that's one of the reasons
I didn't really have a successful blind audition
is because I didn't -- I didn't flex on them.
-Is that Jim Croce? -Yeah, yeah.
-That's a really tough one, 'cause it's so mellow.
-I was just wanting to hear
what your upper register might sound like.
-As soon as I got offstage after my audition, I was like,
"Oh, I can do so much more than that."

-I picked "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" by The Temptations

-That was incredible, and I feel like that was, like,
completely different than the last audition that I watched.
-Thank you. I appreciate that.
-The last performance was a little bit more linear,
and this one was so dynamic.
-Yeah. -There are the big moments
and then the small, especially that bridge towards the end
where you really lightened up.
I would just say play up those dynamics more
so you have more energy and then more soul,
just to show the different sides of you and your voice
and what it can do.
Other than that, good God, that's amazing.
Sam is such a musician.
He's a songwriter. He plays guitar.
He gigs all the time.
I really think that he's put in so much work,
even since he had his audition.
-I think I just need to work on owning the dynamics
and then owning the falsetto parts,
'cause I've always been a little insecure with my falsetto,
but this is a time when I just really need to show it
that I can do it.
I've been preparing and practicing my whole life
for a moment like being on "The Voice."
After I walked off that stage, I was like, "Well, see ya."
Being able to be invited back is incredible,
and it's never been done before, so I got to own it.
-Okay, so now we're gonna pair you up with another artist.
And then you're gonna battle it out.
-It's gonna be sick. -Yes!
-Keep watching "The Comeback Stage"
to find out who will battle Sam for a spot in the live shows.
