USA news on Youtube Oct 17 2018

Since August 14, I was detained for 6 days in terrible

conditions in the State Security Unit of Palma Soriano

The second official of the police did not stop telling me "you're

going to die there in the dungeon," to which I never answered

I was sharing a cell with another detainee

There is no running water, you have to defecate

right there and feces spill all over the cell

All 6 days I stayed with the same clothes and no hygiene of any kind

The lack of hygiene in the mattress is such that it is necessary to

sleep on the floor so as not to contract other more serious diseases

Later I was in the Detention Centre of Versailles, a torture centre

called Provincial Unit of Criminal Instruction, still on hunger strike

I was alone first, and later mixed with other alleged inmates who were

informants trying to tell me to make an agreement with the State Security

In Versalles I was 22 days The treatment was terrible

The second official of the Unit forced me to walk

down the centre of the corridor, not using the

walls, when I could barely stand with the

weakness after more than 20 days of hunger strike

They gave me water one day and others did not, the sheets barely

changed, without ventilation, in a dark cell with no light

They served me all kinds of extreme appetizing

foods to get me to stop the hunger strike,

meals that are never seen in the detention centre, neither the people have access to

meals that are never seen in the detention centre, neither the people have access to

I told them to give that food to other prisoners, but they told me that this

food cannot be given to prisoners, to which I asked if I was not a prisoner

Yes they put me in a cold room

The last days there they put me in what we call a cold room, that is to say, rooms

very humid, very cold and dark, in spite of my state of almost 30 days in hunger

strike, with tremendous mosquitoes"

Wilman Villar Mendoza died in 2012 precisely in the same circumstances because he acquired pneumonia in these cells of the centre

When I had been there for more than 20 days, I lost conscience on September 1st

I recovered conscience in the Juan Bruno Zayas Hospital

One security officer and one medical officer,

Lieutenant Colonel, when I refused to eat,

ordered me to take off from me all the medical assistance and send me back to Versalles

After being in Versalles again, they send me to the Aguadores prison

I had been on a hunger strike for 28 days

In Aguadores they did not want me to stay, and

they sent me immediately to the Boniato prison

To Boniato I arrived on a Tuesday, 22 days

after Versailles, I do not remember the date

They put me in a dark dungeon

I asked for water and they did not give it to me, for almost a whole day

They gave me water later, at 6 in the afternoon, less than half a glass,

and until 6 in the morning of the next day they did not give me any more

Twice a day they gave me half a glass of water

All this was ordered by Major Alexei Bell de Boniato

Another officer, Captain Alexei AtiƩ, allowed me to speak with

another UNPACU political prisoner, as I asked him, but to eat

They told me that if I did not eat I would go into an

isolation cell in the punishment area of the Boniato prison

I refused to eat

They put me there, in this punishment isolation cell, and left me in shorts

(underwear), with no more clothes, two days, after 30 days of hunger strike

There is no water there, not to wash or anything

I was not allowed any hygiene during my entire stay in the various places

The second day, Alexei Bell, handcuffed,

made on me the "double key Nelson",

putting their hands inside my arms and behind the

back of my neck, lowering my head to the ground

So with my head down, they took me out of the cell, down the stairs at full speed,

pushing me, took me for meters and meters, passing in front of the officials' offices,

and saying "Are you going to eat?" I said no, and so they gave orders to return

me to the cell and told me that they would repeat the same thing later on and on

Every certain hours they repeated this operation

This is known as "the bicycle" They did it several times a day

They did it 5 times that I remember

Every time I returned to the cell I fell to the

ground and stayed in it for hours until I recovered

In the cell, in addition, there was no mattress

They gave you a wool mattress, with wool balls, old and dirty, at 10

o'clock at night and they took it off at 6 o'clock in the morning

The hygiene was terrible

From there they took me out after 7 days in the dungeon, to a dark room where they

started giving me water twice a day, at 6 in the afternoon and 6 in the morning

At 7 o'clock on the night of September 26, they

took me to the Juan Bruno Zayas Clinical Hospital

In Boniato I spent 15 days

In the Juan Bruno Zayas Hospital they handcuffed me every

foot and one hand in which I did not have the serum

I could barely sleep, or turn around, and I still have pain in my ribs

for more than 10 days without rest handcuffed like that, immobilized

Then came a guard who removed my handcuffs from my feet but

kept the handcuffs in my hands until the day of my release

In the Hospital there was a moment that they began to give me intravenous serum,

several times, until I refused to receive nutrients, 6 days before my release

I refused since then to any medical care

Next to me, less than two meters away, they cooked

succulent meals, that a I could smell and hear the

cooking, and the jailers ate them by my side, putting

dishes next to me "Look what a delicious dish"

The doctors just gave me professional treatment

They were impressed

The State Security did not allow doctors to talk privately with me

The doctors could not enter with their mobiles

I saw my brother one day 10 minutes and with the State Security in front

In 19 days

In Boniato I could not see my brother except 1 day

In 15 days
