USA news on Youtube Oct 17 2018

rev up your engines, mr. Herrera says a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse is for sale the

guy is selling it for 1,200 bucks but there's damage from hitting a deer, I want to

take it up for my first project car, runs and drives 140,000 miles is it a good buy, well

$1,200 and it's damaged, no bodywork cost a fortune, now if it's all smashed up in

the front but it still runs and stuff, offer the guy $800 or something for it

cuz bodywork costs too much money to do correctly and if you want to learn how

to do it yourself great, but you don't pay much for a body damaged car, odds are

the car's got more damage than the cars worth, get a car like that if the guy let

you drive it, drive it to a body shop and say what would it cost to fix this and

you'll find out it'll probably be 2 or 3 times what you're paying for the car, now

if you can get it for you know 800 bucks or something you want to try to fix it

yourself, go right ahead but I wouldn't put too much time and energy or money

into a car like that if it hit a deer, Steve lee says Scotty is low mileage just

as bad as high mileage at a certain age of a car being bought used, being left

standing to long, of course standing too long is bad for a car there's no arguing

that, you would actually have to know the history of a car if you're buying it use

for example, say you're going to an estate sale, maybe it's somebody's car that's passed

away and it's sat for eight years and wasn't used hardly at all, yeah all the

seals are dry and rot and you don't want to buy a car like that, but it was a car

that somebody's only driving two three thousand miles a year, it's perfectly

fine to buy it that way, the metal of the engine isn't gonna wear any out, but if

you get a 20 year old car, all those rubber seals are gonna start wearing and

cracking just from plain age, so that's the stuff that you have to check out if

you're buying a car that was old and was low mileage, but generally they're

pretty good cars as long as they're not all dry rot, you're probably going to have to buy new

tires if the tires are old but a lot of the other stuff could be, just

never pay much for a car that's really old, doesn't matter how many miles it has

on it, they're just not worth all that much money, milk says what do

you think about owning a Mercedes 190e 2.0 gas engine, their strong engines

they can run a long time if you change the oil regularly, that 4 cylinder 2 liter

mercedes engine is a well-made engine, that said if it's got an automatic

transmission they're extremely slow vehicle, they're having vehicle with a

four-cylinder engine, and they were never that popular the United States, now if

you're in Europe and you're buying one that has a standard transmission, it could be a

very good fun car to drive around, its got enough horsepower to run

a standard transmission, but it isn't that good for an automatic transmission

so you know if it's in Europe and it's a standard transmission, go ahead but

if it's in the United States and it's automatic I'd pass and buy something else

Aaron ditch says Scotty I got a tapping noise in the rear brake after I

changed the pads that were worn to the plates, first thing you want to do is look

at the rotors, I got a video I just put up a few weeks ago, how you fix your

car when shaking when you're driving when you brake, you want to check those

rotors because if they're warped or you can feel ridges on them, you're gonna

have to change the rotors because that's gonna make that noise or if you don't

care just live with the noise it isn't gonna hurt anything, you do want to check

it they'll make sure all the parts are in there tight all the hardware's in and

that the bolts are on tight and that you didn't leave anything loose, but if

everything is on tight, odds are the rotors are worn and if you don't care about the noise

live with, but if you don't like the noise buy new rotors, aftermarket rotors

these days are so cheap and easy to get, you could just replace them they don't

cost all that much, JB soldier says I got a Nissan Altima with one hundred and

fifty seven thousand miles, I changed the oil every 3,000 miles how much life do you

think I have, okay the weakest things of those things were their automatic

transmissions and after that is the engines, if your engine does not burn oil

now, now maybe it burns a quart between changes that's nothing, but as long as

doesn't burn an excessive amount of oil, the engine is still in good shape and it

might last a while and if it's an automatic transmission if it still shifts

good, it could last a while but if it burns a lot of oil or the transmission

doesn't shift right, get rid of it now because they become endless money pits

since it's with that mileage and its aged, it's worth nothing anyways, so you mind as

well just take care of it and drive it and see, you never know you never know

Peter what do you think about a 2014 honda cr-v XL with 36,000 miles made in Canada

oh those are great vehicles, Canadians know how to make cars, I went to my first

University York University in Toronto and Canada obviously, and I know guys

that worked in the factories there and they did excellent work, they made great

vehicles, I had a Ford Maverick that was made in Oakville Ontario that was one of the

best vehicles I've ever had, I paid 500 bucks for it and I drove it for ten

years all over North America, down to Texas all over the place, Canadians make

good cars, buy one that's been made in Canada, my wife sold matrix that's now my car, it was

made in Cambridge Ontario, Canadians make good cars you know, if I get a choice

about a car, I I can get one made in Canada, believe me I'll buy one

M1A2 says Scotty I have an 85 Ford Mustang, which engine should I

swap or rebuild the 5.0, rebuild the 5.0 or get a long block 5.0 that's

already been remanufactured, those are great engines they're strong they can

last a long time, those are good engines I wouldn't start

swapping, you start swapping things it's modern enough 85, if you swap the engines

you're gonna have to do all kinds of computer reprogramming and sensors and

wiring it would be a giant pain in the butt and a five liter is a very good

engine, so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos,

remember to ring that Bell!

Yeah! He's waiting for us!

I don't know if he's there yet or not!

Well, anyway, we are going to for Detroit for 2 nights to see Troye Sivan in concert!

I took off work on Monday!

Now we are going to drive for 3 hours!

Do Detroit!

Let's go!!

We are here!

In Detroit!

After 3 hours of driving, we are here!

Thanks for driving!

Thanks, but I'm not tired!

Right now,

we are at our Air Bnb

We are going to be here for 2 nights.

How much was it?

It was about $70.

So about 7000 yen.

Yeah

That's pretty cheap for 2 nights!

We are going to drop our stuff off inside, and go get some dinner!

It's still early though!

It's a little early...

Well we will eat, and explore a little bit!

Ok!

Seigo: Where are we headed?

I have no idea!

What is this place called?

The Renaissance Center!

We are at The Renaissance Center!

It's so big!

Wow! Look at that!

There it is.

It's super big!

We are going to try to go to the top.

Let's walk around The Renaissance Center for a little bit!

Seigo: There's a Starbucks.

Seigo: That car is moving on a track!

Bren: I wanna go downstairs too!

Seigo: Give us a car!!

Oh look, people can stud there.

Now we are going down to see the cars!

Seigo: Do you think we can get inside?

Bren: We probably can.

This is paradise for someone who likes cars!

That's not really us 😋

I don't know anything about cars!

But I'm sure this one is great!

Seigo: This things huge!

GMC! Bren's mom drives one of these.

Not this one though!

But the same kind.

Seigo: Let's go outside!

Seigo: Beautiful!

Bren: Canada!

Seigo: On the other side of that river,

can you see the flag?

Canada is over there!

My hair...

(The building we came out of)

Look!

I got the building to fit in the frame!

Is this a video?

Yeah.

Building background!

And now, we are going on the

QLine?

The QLine.

In Japanese we call it a Chin Chin Densha!

Yeah, we are going on a Chin Chin Densha!

We are going to get on the Chin Chin Densha,

and it's going to take us near to where we are going to eat dinner!

Yay!

I'm excited!

Seigo: It's been a while since we've been on a train!

It sure has! How long has it been?

Seigo: Since we were in New York!

Although this place looks cleaner than New York...

This is the Bus...I mean Train station!

The 3 hour pass is $1.50.

(But today was free)

An all day pass is $3.

Seigo: It's adorable!

Bren: It's clean!

It's a train!

And it's not Japan!

Isn't it?

Although it sorta looks like Japan.

That's true.

They have some seats over there.

Seigo: It reminds me of New York City!

Bren: That's where the concert will be tomorrow!!

Seigo: We will come back here tomorrow!

That was fun!

I liked the train!

We rode a train for the first time in a while,

Seigo: Since Japan, or cutely New York!

Are this things in New York allowed to be called trains?

Seigo: I'm not sure...

Seigo: It's really nice here!

It's clean,

and cheap,

and it was fun!

It was free!

Seigo: Yeah it was!

Seigo: It's free on the weekends.

And now,

Now we are going to eat dinner!

You can find out in our next video just where we are going to eat!

So be sure to watch it when it's up!

Check it out!

See you later!!

See you again after we eat!

Bye bye!
