The issue of military exemption is getting hot here these days.
The ball-kicking Son Seung-min and Lee Seung-woo.
They're off the hook after winning the gold in the Asian Games.
And what about the ball-hitters. Yup, the baseball team has made it too.
Other unfortunate, well all adult males have to go through military service.
Me? Sure, I've been there.
Can I shoot a K-2? Sure, I can.
With nuclear bombs to the north, a year and a half is spent defending our country.
What about the BTS? Yup, they're no exeption. Some time soon, they'll get their physicals and be sent off.
I know. bummer! And people know too.
That's why it's the hot potato now. Why is Son getting a break when the BTS isn't?
There's this ulttra conservative slash idiot congressman in Korea called Ha Tae-kyung.
So here's what he posted on facebook recently.
"The reason why the government announced that they would reevaluate military exemption rules is the BTS.
If violinists who win competitions can get out of the military service, why can't number 1 singers like the BTS?"
Anyways, Korean fans aren't buying it. They're like, why use the BTS?
What's a jerk like Ha Tae-kyung even talking about the BTS?
The BTS isn't saying anything. Why are other people making a fuss?
Anyways, every guy has to go to the millitary sooner or later.
There was this pop star called Steve Yoo who was the "The Guy".
But after giving up citizenship to ditch the military, he can't even step foot into the country.
Yes, that's how serious people are about this issue.
And you know Kangnam Style's Psy, right? Well, that guy actually went to the millitary twice. A true patriot, eh? We'll skip the boring details.
Lee Seung-gi finished his duties last year,
and this year Big Bang's Dae-sung went started his.
Oh, didn't have to mention that Tae-yang and GD did too, did I?
Yada yada yada. Anyways, my global friends, congrats on the BTS reaching 1st place on the billboard chart.
