USA news on Youtube Sep 5 2018

The relations between Iran and U.S.A has gone downhill after U.S has decided to quit from

Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly called the Iran nuclear deal in May.

Trump administration has expressed its intention to reapply sanctions on Iranian oil exports

that had earlier been suspended through the deal.

It is increasingly likely that the United States will push its allies to completely

stop importing Iranian oil.

Iran has threatened to restart its nuclear program as well as close The Strait of Hormuz.

In that case, the situation will escalate further, and there is a chance of a conflict.

In every modern-day conflict, air power plays a crucial role and it's the topic for this discussion.

In this video Defense Updates, analyses why Iran's Air Force is no match for U.S Air Force?

Let's get started.

Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) used to be one of the largest and most powerful

air forces in the world.

But things have gone bad to worse and it has now become a mere shadow of its former self.

Multiple wars and sustained sanctions have taken their toll.

International arms embargo resulted in difficulty in obtaining spare parts for its aging fleet

of air force jets let alone buying new once.

The IRIAF now consists of mostly outdated fighters whose operational availability is

also suspect.

The MiG-29 is the most capable fighter of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force.

It has only 20 of these.

Other fighters include Sukhoi Su-24, Sukhoi Su-22, Chengdu F-7, Northrop F-5, F-4 Phantom

II, Grumman F-14 and Mirage F1, totaling to about 150.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force which is a separate air arm and part

of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has about 10 ex-Iraqi Su-25 "Frogfoot" fighters.

There is no long-range bomber and there is also no AWACS which is a major issue.

Compare this with U.S Air Force which has almost 2000 fighter jet that includes around

187 F 22 Raptor 5th generation fighters which are considered the most potent fighter in

the world.

Apart from that U.S has dedicated long-range bomber including stealthy B 2 Spirit as well

it has a flotilla of very capable AWACS.

The U.S also has 10 nuclear-powered aircraft carriers which can be deployed through the

Arabian Sea.

Nimitz-class displaces about 100000 tonnes and spans 333 meters long.

Each of these is capable of carrying more than 60 fighter jets.

The Nimitz strike fighters are primarily F18 Hornets and F18 Super Hornets.

These are twin-engine carrier-capable 4+ generation multirole fighter aircraft designed for land

and air attacks.

Through Nimitz class carriers, U.S will be able to bring the fight to Iran from the sea.

Further, if we take other factors like superior training, better tactic and higher manpower

availability U.S Air Force is placed far ahead of IRIAF.

Iran and Russia were discussing for the sale and coproduction of 48 Su-30.

This would have given Iran's Air Force much-needed teeth.

But this didn't materialize due to issues of price and technology transfers.

In 2013, Iran revealed a prototype fighter jet named Qaher-313 "stealth fighter".

But the very small design seemed unrealistic with pilot's knees being visible in the

cockpit.

Most experts dismissed the prototype as nothing more than a mock-up.

In 2017, when the fighter appeared again, it seemed larger but the overall design's

credibility is still suspect.

With no new fighters bought and no fighter manufactured domestically, Iran's Air Force

is in a dire state.

Keeping all these into consideration it can be safely said that Iran's Air Force is

in no shape to counter the American airpower.

If a conflict starts, U.S will have complete air superiority within a few days and will

be able to dictate the battle from then onwards.

Meghan Markle's mother reveals where Duchess gets her feminist beliefs in graphic t-shirt - Duration: 6:02.

Meghan Markle, 37, had her wedding to Prince Harry, 33, in May. Her mother, Doria Ragland, 61, attended looking stunning in a green coat

Millions tuned in to watch her daughter's wedding take place live. The Duchess of Sussex has been highly vocal in praising her mother in the past, and it seems the pair have their passion for social issues in common

Doria was seen wearing an official women's march t-shirt. The 2017 Women's March took place on 21 and 22 January last year

The enormous movement encouraged women and female allies from across the world to protest

The topics the protests covered included reproductive rights and workers' rights - however, many of the marches were also aimed at Donald Trump

It is not known whether Doria attended the march, but her daughter has been vocal about her feminist politics in the past

Meghan's webpage on the royal site quotes the actress at the UN on International Women's Day 2015, when she said: "I am proud to be a woman and a feminist

" Meghan became the UN Women's Advocate for Women's Political Participation and Leadership in 2015

Meghan Markle said Donald Trump's election would cause her to leave the US. On 4 May 2016 she said: "It's really the moment that I go, we film Suits in Toronto and I might just stay in Canada

"I mean come on, if that's the reality we are talking about, come on, that is a game changer in terms of how we move in the world here

" She also called Donald Trump divisive, especially for female voters, adding: "I think it was in 2012, the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points

That's a huge number and with as misogynistic as Trump is and so vocal about it, that's a huge chunk of it

"  Meghan Markle was voted more in tune with the public than Kate Middleton, 36, thanks to her feminist values

Eleven per cent of those who chose Meghan as their most relatable royal did so because "she's a feminist

" Meghan Markle's mother Doria is a mental health sector. Her father was an antique dealer and her mother was a nurse

Doria, a yoga enthusiast, married Thomas Markle in 1979 and they divorced in 1987

Who is Meghan Markle? Quick profile Meghan Markle was born Rachel Meghan Markle, on August 4, 1981 to parents Doria Ragland and father Thomas Markle

Her father was previously married to Roslyn Loveless and Meghan has two elder half sibling - sister Samantha Markle and brother Thomas Markle Junior

Actress Meghan's first television appearance in the USA was in an episode of the medical drama General Hospital in 2002

She later moved on to roles in CSI, Without a Trace and Castle along with bit parts in Hollywood films including Get Him to the Greek, Remember Me and Horrible Bosses

Meghan was also a "briefcase girl" on Deal or No Deal - but her most famous role was as Rachel Zane in legal drama Suits, which launched in 2011

She was written out in the finale of the seventh series when her character got married, which aired in April 2018 - just before she got married herself

Charity and humanitarian work Meghan Markle's career in television has gone hand-in-hand with her support for causes close to her heart

She wrote about the stigma around menstrual health in an article for Time magazine and was a Global Ambassador for World Vision Canada - with whom she travelled to Rwanda for the charity's Clean Water Campaign

And her commitment to gender equality has seen her work with the United Nations - receiving a standing ovation in 2015 for her speech to mark International Women's Day

Relationships In September 2011, she wed film producer Trevor Engelson, who she began dating in 2004

But the pair divorced two years later in August 2013, citing irreconcilable difference

She was in a relationship with celebrity chef Cory Vitiello for almost two years, before they broke it off in 2016 but the two remain good friends

And in June 2016, she met Prince Harry on a blind date set up by a mutual friend

Their relationship began in October that year and just over one year later, on November 27, 2017, the pair announced their engagement

They married on May 19, 2018 at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.Meghan's heritage Some have claimed Meghan Markle is the first mixed-race member of the Royal Family

Historians are still arguing about Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George III. But Meghan will be the first royal to openly embrace a mixed-race heritage

Lewis Hamilton: Martin Brundle make F1 Championship claim ahead of Singapore showdown - Duration: 3:23.

Lewis Hamilton: Martin Brundle make F1 Championship claim ahead of Singapore showdown Hamilton won at Monza last weekend to move 40 points clear of Sebastian Vettel in the title race. The Brit has the chance to put further daylight between himself and the German in Singapore on Sunday 16 September when the season resumes. And F1 expert Brundle thinks Hamilton can all but seal his fifth world title if he puts in a solid performance.

"Back to the championship race, with my F1 cap on we really needed Ferrari to win in Monza," he wrote in his column.   "With seven races remaining, Lewis now leads by 30 points. It's a hefty advantage and means Singapore is a must-win for Ferrari. "But if Mercedes can get through Singapore unscathed, Lewis will have one hand on the trophy. "As it stands, he heads there knowing he can afford to be punchy when necessary, and play the percentage game at other times.

"It's not done and dusted by any means, but that is a big comfort zone to be in." Hamilton is looking to defend his title from last season, when a stunning comeback saw Mercedes victorious. This time around Hamilton and Vettel have gone toe to toe again but Brundle thinks the Ferrari driver threw it away this weekend. "After the race, Vettel spoke about trying to take the lead ahead of Kimi Raikkonen, but he never looked anywhere near close enough to try that," Brundle added.

"I can only assume that he thought Kimi might have eased him through. Indeed, he may even have felt that might happen at the first chicane but that's hard to choreograph. "Lewis certainly pinched him a little but left racing room, then Sebastian slid gently wide and took a punch directly across his front axle from the middle of the Mercedes sidepod.   "Probably getting out of the throttle and onto the brakes too, and with those cool and dirty tyres, it was the Ferrari which gyrated.

Normally the car on the outside, especially when rear face of front tyre launches the front face of the rear tyre, gets spun around. "As he waited impatiently for the rest of the pack to go through, Seb lit up his tyres, which wasn't a smart thing either because all that achieves is melting the surface of your trusty race rears. "Ferrari threw it away on Saturday in reality. They could have so easily slipstreamed Vettel on to pole using Raikkonen's wake, and then with formation flying on lap one.

"Mercedes made it very clear as long ago as Germany that they were playing the team game when they ordered Valtteri Bottas not to challenge Lewis for the win. "Given their history of such tactics, ironically Ferrari haven't responded.".
