Good Morning. It's 9 AM here.
This is a shower room.
I'm here in TA Truck Stop.
Throughout the night, I was a little disturbed. I was trying to find a place to sleep.
Then I went to the driver's lounge. I slept there somehow.
Feeling refreshed now.
When I saw the highway, so much energy got into me!
Then I quickly thought of having a shower.
I met a few people in the common washroom.
Had a talk with a Punjabi brother.
Then I asked a person regarding a shower coupon.
A lot of truck drivers had told me that many times they have extra shower coupons which I could use.
My shower coupon has number 9.
24th May is the date on the coupon.
The cost of taking the shower is 14 USD.
There's even a hairdryer here.
With this socket, I charged my camera, gimbal and smartphone. Make sure you carry a Universal Adapter!
I kept my bags here.
Great facility!
I'm planning to have some breakfast. Have oats with me.
I've been on the road for 2 days. Having similar food.
Right now I'm having oats.
In this box, there are many small packets of oats which can be mixed with hot water and readily eaten.
I had two packets since I'm more hungry right now. Feeling good now.
When you're travelling in this way and get 'hot' cooked food, it feels really great!
Travelling in this way in the USA might seem tough but definitely not impossible.
I've just taken this challenge for myself.
I had just moved out from there.
This is so big!
I wasn't able to find the exit.
I saw this structure from outside.
As soon as I entered he welcomed me very warmly.
He asked about me and offered something to eat and drink.
In spite of saying no, he gave me this.
This is actually a church.
I just got into the church without any reason. But it feels good to be here.
He has given his entire life for the welfare of the church now.
I didn't really wanted to wake up today morning.
Because of being tired, I couldn't really sleep well.
I know I'm late now. It's already 10 AM.
Yesterday there were many trucks here. But now I can't see anything.
At least some of them respond. It's a very nice thing.
This guy didn't even see.

That's why I have put on this cap.
And have decided to sit down peacefully.
It feels like I'm sitting on a farm.
Clear skies, clouds and birds chirping from behind.
It's 10:16 AM here in Texas.
Don't hitchhike when it gets too sunny. Start early in the morning.
It's 11:30 AM. I sat there for a long time. Can't sit any further.
It's 2 PM now. Finally, I've got the lift. At one point I decided to stop trying.
A person has agreed to give me a lift in his truck.
This is the driver's lounge where I was sitting.
Now I'm leaving this place. Met two very interesting people. Maybe our conversation built up some trust. And they agreed to give me a ride.
This gentleman is taking me in his truck.
His name is Mark.
Mark heard me talking to the camera and complemented that although he doesn't understand Hindi but felt it to be a very civilized language.
I had told you about the 11 hours rule before.
After 11 hours, a truck driver is not allowed to drive. It's better for highway safety.
In India, a lot of people try to work overtime to earn extra money.
Before Mark also used to do the same thing.
He couldn't give more time to his personal life.
The 11 Hour rule has been a lot more welcoming for him.
Since the past two to three hours we were simply talking inside. Also because of which I was able to get this ride!
If this rule is implemented in our country especially for the private truck drivers, it would be great for everyone!

Often many people don't understand my way of travelling. But this is something that I have been doing for years! If I'll get a chance, I might visit New York in the regular way.
But the experience that I'm getting from the beautiful landscapes, this is why I'm here!

I was in the toilet and suddenly I met an Indian guy.
He was a Punjabi and we casually started talking.
He said that he was going to Kansas and asked if I'd like to accompany.
