How to Watch Johnny Manziel CFL Debut Online in USA | Heavy.com

Johnny Football is officially back.

Set to appear in his first real professional football game since 2015, Johnny Manziel will make the start Friday night when his Montreal Alouettes take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

In the United States, the game will start at 7:30 p.m.

ET and will be broadcast on ESPN 2.

After signing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in May, Manziel spent the first five games of the 2018 CFL season backing up Jeremiah Masoli.

He was then traded to the Montreal Alouettes, where he was slotted on the bench behind another former Oregon QB, Vernon Adams.

But his time behind Adams lasted just one game, a loss that dropped the Alouettes to 1-5 on the season, and on Tuesday head coach Mike Sherman confirmed that Manziel will get the start against his former team.

It's the fifth different QB who will play for the Alouettes this season.

"It's good to be back in here," Manziel said.

"I felt like the thing I've been missing, even over the course of this year and a couple years, is reps.

And as you guys have seen the last couple days, a chance to get with the 1s and get some reps is what I feel like I really need and what I've talked to a lot of people about.

"So I feel very blessed to be in this position, to be back in a situation where I'm starting again.

It's good. It's a quick turnaround.

But at the same time, I'm excited for the opportunity.".

Playing in a new offense on a team that has managed just one win this season, Manziel faces an uphill battle in his first CFL action.

The Alouettes, even at home, are 6.5-point underdogs against the Tiger-Cats, who haven't fared much better this year at 2-4.

Expectations for Manziel in his first real action in years should probably be tempered as he deals with potential rust and adjustments to a new system, but we know that probably won't happen.

No matter what he does, takes will be hot and conclusions will be irrationally jumped to.

That's just life with Johnny Football.

Still, it'll be fun to see Manziel playing real football once again.

While he can be erratic, and isn't always exactly a model of efficiency, there's no doubt that he plays an entertaining brand of football.

The Left Is Trying To Take Down Trump's Son For A Terrible Reason

Leftist attacks against President Trump are nothing new.

They hate him more than anybody else and are willing to do anything possible to take him

down.

But it's not just the president they are going after, the left just came out with a

terrible reason they are trying to take down Trump's son.

Throughout Robert Mueller's investigation into President Trump, there has been no evidence

that Trump or anybody close to him colluded with Russians.

Despite that fact, many are trying to claim the president colluded with Russia in order

to win the presidential election.

Those people are operating with no facts, and instead, use circumstantial evidence to

try to prove that Trump or somebody close to him colluded.

One of the pieces of evidence that have been more prominent is the meeting that Donald

Trump Jr. had with a Russian lawyer in Trump Tower.

Many people have speculated that the entire meeting was nothing more than a setup, but

to Democrats who want to stop Trump, it is a fantastic piece of information.

That meeting quickly became front-page news, with many trying to claim that Trump should

step down due to the unconfirmed claims made.

To Trump's credit, he refused to back down, while later being elected President of the

United States.

And since being elected president, he has fired back at the unsubstantiated claims about

Russian collusion, much to the chagrin of the anti-Trump left.

While much of the population is on his side, there still is a dedicated group working to

take him down.

After all, Trump's approval rating is at its highest since taking office.

And compared to CNN, whose ratings are lowering every day, he's doing great.

That's why CNN has sunk down to needing to go after sensational anti-Trump content.

Their latest attack is targeted at Donald Trump Jr., who democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal

believes committed perjury, and should be punished.

Blumenthal is convinced that Trump Jr. was lying when he said that his father was not

informed about the now-infamous Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer before it happened.

He is hoping to prove that in order to harm Trump Jr.

Because the meeting was useless, it was necessary to find some way to go after him that does

not have to do with what happened at the meeting.

This is clearly an attempt to mislead the public into believing that President Trump

was more involved in the Trump Tower meeting than he was.

Despite the fact that there is no evidence that anything of value happened, and that

Robert Mueller hasn't even expressed interest in talking to the Russian lawyer in question,

their case is based around the meeting itself is pretty weak.

But if they can find a point where Donald Trump Jr. or President Trump misspoke, they

can use that to go after them legally.

Even untrue claims of perjury would be very bad for Trump Jr.'s reputation.

Robert Mueller Found Out His Fate Will Be Decided On This Day

Special counsel Robert Mueller has terrorized the Trump administration with an 18 month

long rigged witch hunt.

Mueller's silent coup has undermined faith in democracy and attacked institutions and

Americans are wondering when it will end.

There may finally be answers as Mueller learned when the fate of his investigation will be

decided.

The missing piece to the Mueller investigation is an interview with the President.

Pundits speculate Mueller wants to get Trump on record so to allow the President to present

his side of the James Comey firing so the special counsel can complete a final report

on his investigation.

President Trump's lawyers suspect the special counsel's motives are not that pure and

have been opposed to an interview.

But the President has insisted on the opportunity to tell his side of the story and so Trump's

lawyers have been negotiating with Mueller and his Democrat pit bull lawyers over the

scope of an interview.

In an exclusive interview with Politico, Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani laid out the time frame

as to when the President and his lawyers would arrive at a decision as to if Trump would

sit for an interview with Mueller and his team.

Politico reported:

"I think our decisions will get made in the next week to 10 days," Giuliani told

POLITICO, noting that Trump intends to reside at his property in Bedminster, New Jersey

until mid-August.

But he added that the team is still considering declining an interview altogether, despite

what he described as Trump's ongoing desire to meet with Mueller.

The two sides remain deadlocked over whether Mueller will get to ask Trump about possible

efforts to obstruct the FBI's investigation of Russian contacts with the Trump campaign.

Giuliani said he and Trump's other attorneys are studying the latest proposal from Mueller

that offered to narrow the set of obstruction-related questions the special counsel's team would

ask the president.

That proposal, per Giuliani, would also permit Trump to provide written answers to some inquiries.

The two sides are still haggling over whether Mueller's team would be permitted to ask

follow-up questions to some written responses, Giuliani noted."

Trump supporters agree with the lawyers and do not want the President to sit for an interview

with a snake like Mueller.

Mueller is clearly trying to set a perjury trap.

And even if Trump answers truthfully, Mueller can still charge him with perjury.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz explained this on Anderson Cooper's TV show.

"Well, I will correct you.

If you have the president saying something that he believes is truthful, and then you

have another witness, Cohen or Manafort or one of the others contradicting him without

regard to who is telling the truth, you could get a perjury prosecution," the Harvard

Law Professor explained.

"So I've often advised clients who have insisted to me that they will only tell the

truth.

I say to them, 'but it is possible that any other witness will tell the truth different

than yours?'"

If Trump refuses an interview, then Mueller could subpoena the President.

That would invite a court battle that is perilous for both sides.

The losing side will see the power of their institution diminished greatly.

It's a price Mueller may not be willing to pay.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Neilson testified before Congress that her agency

is working with the Department of Justice to bring criminal charges against the leaders

of sanctuary cities.

The Washington Times reports:

HER CONFIRMATION CAME AFTER CALIFORNIA'S NEW SANCTUARY LAW WENT INTO EFFECT JAN. 1,

SEVERELY RESTRICTING COOPERATION THE STATE OR ANY OF ITS LOCALITIES COULD OFFER.

U.S. IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT DIRECTOR TOM HOMAN SAYS THOSE POLICIES PUT HIS OFFICERS

AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES AT MORE RISK BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO ARREST ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS OUT

IN THE COMMUNITY.

MR.

HOMAN TOLD THE WASHINGTON TIMES LAST JULY THAT HE WANTED TO SEE LOCAL OFFICIALS CHARGED

AS COMPLICIT IN HUMAN SMUGGLING IF THEY SHIELDED ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS THROUGH SANCTUARY POLICIES."

Trump has held onto his base because he backs up his campaign rhetoric with action.

Nowhere is that more true than with immigration.

The President rejected the Democrats amnesty legislation and his administration continues

to press forward on cracking down on illegal immigration.

This is terrible news for Chuck Schumer and the Democrats.

Their goal is to boot Trump from office after one term.

But if Trump continues to fulfill his promises, his base will be motivated to turnout and

he will win re-election.

This is a major conflict of interest and is highly discrediting to the FBI.

James Comey was the Director of the FBI when the Russia dossier dropped and would have

been involved in obtaining the surveillance warrant against the President if Trump's

assessment is correct.

As any Trump supporter understands, James Comey has been a staunch enemy of the President.

From dismissing any charges against Hillary Clinton for putting classified information

at risk on her private email server to waging the phony Russia investigation against Trump,

Comey has put himself firmly on the anti-Trump side.

An investigation proving that the FBI did, in fact, get a surveillance warrant against

the President would be disastrous to the entire agency.
