Alright, guys, I'm going to show you guys
quite possibly the most portable rod I've ever used.
This is going to be fun.
Alright, guys, I've got a really crazy looking rod
that I ordered from Amazon.
It's called the M Rod.
Look at that. [sounds effects] Woahh!!
This is it.
[sound effects] Woah-ho-hoah! [Brendon] It's very small
I got this for like, $35 online.
I'm about to set it up.
*grunting* There ya go.
This is the Super Salty Jackets
It comes as a whole
squid jacket, like that
so you can cut it to whatever shape you want.
If you want a big chunk, cut a big chunk
if you want a little sliver
cut a little sliver.
For right now,
I'm going to cut a little sliver, just like this...
and this will work as a trailer for my flounder rig,
my perch rigs...
There you go...
So you see this flashy flash right here?
This will get the fish's attention,
then they'll look at this thing floating in the water
and hit it.
Looks like a minnow swimming in the water.
Now, I think, um, there's a lot of flounder in here,
so how we're targeting these flounder is we're casting this out
let it sink and kind of really slowly retrieve it back.
This should be--this should-this lure should be
kind of right off the bottom,
uh, that's how-that's how flounders hunt,
they don't really go out and hunt,
they'll stay in the same spot
use their camouflage to their advantage,
and ambush their prey that comes straight above them.
Um... I'm not sure how well this rod's going to work!
Let's give it a try!

Whoo! I got a little flounder!
Alright, our first fish on the M Rod!
Let me say, it's a little bit of a difficult rod to use,
because it's so short--oops!
Baby flounder!
[Edmond] I like how that worked as soon as you got it.
[Brendon] Yeah! As soon as I used it...

[Brendon] Look! I just caught a friggin' flounder with my hands!
[Edmond] No way, dude!
[Brendon] Yes I did!

[Brendon] It was--oh, whaa!
[Edmond] Did you get that on film? [Brendon laughing] Yeah!
Ah-hey!

It works better than the M rod...

Alright guys, time to head out.
That was a great time
uh, this rod is a really fun rod to use,
um, however, I don't think I was using it in the correct setting
I think this is more for like, kayak fishing,
where you kind of drop it straight down
um, it is very, very portable, I'll give you that
um, I can fit this all in my pocket
but it's kind of hard to cast,
and um,
it's hard to set the hook on it as well.

it works for all sorts of different species of fish,

it works.
it catches a lot of different kinds of fish.
