USA news on Youtube Aug 20 2018

Hey everybody this is Randy Santel 'Atlas' with Atlas & Zeus Promotions and

proud owner of foodchallenges.com, very very excited today because this

challenge looks so delicious and it has been on my bucket list for a very long

time! I had a very successful two-a-day yesterday I did a burger in Tucson and

then 144 pizza rolls in Scottsdale Arizona!

I am still in the Phoenix, Arizona area got another two-a-day today but for

number one I'm in Mesa, Arizona I'm at the Mesa location of Tom's BBQ and I'm

taking on their Full House Challenge now Tom's BBQ there's 5 locations all around

the Phoenix area the challenge is available at all of them I've got

everything is pretty much centered around the theme of a full house ,so 3 &

2. I've got three sandwiches which look freaking awesome! There is one chicken

there's a pulled pork and then a beef brisket all topped with I chose their

spicy jardine along with that there are two sides so we've got a large order

of onion strings and then a large order of just their curly fries. Now I've got

you guessed it 32 minutes to finish everything if I fail it's going to be 32

dollars, but if I win I will get the $32 meal for free, I'll get a sweet t-shirt

to add to my collection, I'll be featured as one of the few elite people at this

location to win and get on their Wall of Fame, and I will get 32 dollars cash

let's get this challenge started!

All right I'm going for overall win number 569 I've got 32 minutes to finish

this thing in order to get my 32 bucks cash but I'm going to start I think with

the beef brisket and just work my way that way pulled pork and then chicken

then do the sides but I've got 32 minutes let's dominate my friend Robert

with Food Challenge Bros, he's got the record which is like 12 minutes and 36

seconds I think which he actually did at this location so I don't think we're

going to beat that, there are a ton of sides here and Roberts a very quick

eater for those of you who watched me do the challenges with them around Oklahoma

but let's just dominate this thing and get the win!

1, 2, 3. . .Boom! All right.

2:30 in!

Six and a half minutes, last one! These are so so good! The jardine is spicy

but it's not bad it's very flavorful!

20 minutes left plenty of time let's get the onion straws down they will do all

the fries. I think with these will use our diet soda!

Last the onion straws leave no doubt that is all the fries let's get them

down!

I was trying to break 20 minutes but I don't think it's gonna happen!

I'll let it go down slowly.

20 minutes and 48 seconds that was a bit bigger than I thought it was going to be

but it was also even more delicious than I thought it was going to be! All three

of those sandwiches - I don't really have a favorite because all three of them

were awesome! Had the pulled pork the beef brisket, and the chicken and all of

that had a hot and spicy jardine on there with all those healthy vegetables

It was overall win number 569! For winning I'm going to get the $32 meal

for free, I'm going to get a sweet t-shirt, which she is about to hand me

now we've got this which also shows a pretty cool advertisement showing that I

"did not fold" and I did win the Full House Challenge and then I'm also going

to get 32 American dollars to use for our tour expenses! Thank you guys all for

coming to watch, we have a lot of subscribers here to watch which is

awesome! Don't know why I scheduled this is part of the two-a-day because that

was freaking massive, but we got another one coming up tonight in the Channler

area, so thank you guys for watching!

Surge in Bankrupt Seniors - Duration: 2:51.

hi I'm true and I blogged about retirement at retired guy usa.com there

are more details there in my blog about the following subject this is for

information and education only I'm not a financial adviser or an attorney so you

need to educate yourself I'm speaking today about the surge in bankrupt

seniors bankruptcy among senior citizens increased dramatically over the last

quarter century the study found 3.6 bankruptcy filings

per thousand people 65 to 74 of age by comparison only 1.2 per thousand filed

in 1991 rates also have increased greatly for those 55 to 64 and

especially those older than 75 so why are there so many bankruptcy nur's first

of all medical debts seniors are absorbing higher co-pays even though

nearly everyone over 65 is on the generous Medicare program too little

personal savings makes it more likely people will put off needed health care

another reason is assisting family members are close friends older people

have a lifetime to form relationships with others they're more likely to help

out long-term friends and are often reluctant to say no others are assisting

children with temporary financial difficulties that never seem to end

elders have recklessly gone into debt for the kids student loans others are

repaying loans and they took out themselves to update skills to find work

in the weight of the great the wake of the Great Recession

another reason for bankruptcies are credit card and mortgage debt too many

elderly took on credit card debt to provide the bare essentials of food

medicine home and car repairs it's the vanishing safety net recent decades have

demonstrated how companies and government gradually shifted the

financial risk from themselves to individuals the failure to take

responsibility for their own finances is another reason we've all seen people who

we know there are some responsibility for their own doll

I'm not pointing a finger of those who encountered a life-altering accident or

medical event none of their own making so what about the future we're all too

dependent on the entitlement state to look after us and now that net is

fraying the time will come when government will no longer be able to

help us as it has in the past well this is tripp and i invite you to visit my

blog that retired guy usa.com comment over there if you if you like share my

Why Sound System Safety Is So Important - Duration: 2:53.

Safety is the most important thing we cover and is a recurring theme throughout all of our training modules.

We have all heard stories about churches saving money by using volunteers to install and wire electrical outlets onstage as well as the audio system wiring.

And while it's great that members want to help,

most if not all of these volunteers are not licensed and simply don't have the ability to perform this kind of work.

It is absolutely important to know what can be done by volunteers, and what needs to be done by a licensed professional.

Faulty electrical wiring can cause a shock, death and most of all, fires.

What you may save in cost by using a volunteer,

may cause you to lose your entire church and possibly someone's life.

It's not only good policy to use a licensed electrical contractor,

it's also the law, and a requirement for your liability and building insurance policies.

Every church has that volunteer that hooks up everyone's home stereo system,

and seems to always be the person the church turns to "Hook Up" the church sound system.

If your system wiring isn't installed correctly, your system won't work correctly,

and there is a good chance that components could be damaged and increase the possibility of fire or damage to the sanctuary itself.

Another area that churches cut corners is "Hanging" or "Rigging" speakers from the ceiling,

or placing speakers on ledges or shelves.

If you are hanging speakers from the ceiling, this is an area that absolutely requires a licensed contractor.

They can determine number one - Do the speakers have the proper hardware built-in to them,

so do they can even been for hanged suspended?

And number two - Do you have ceiling beams strong enough to hold the weight?

Then there are simple things often overlooked that can cause damage or injury.

Make sure cables onstage are properly taped down or covered with mats to prevent tripping.

Make sure stools, tables and music stands are sturdy and never wobbly.

Instruments should have proper stands and not be leaned on amplifiers or laid down on the floor

Remember the old saying – "Pennywise and Pound Foolish"?

If you take it to heart it can save you both money and time in the long run and it can prevent injury or even save someone's life.

How Cable Quality Can Affect Your Sound System - Duration: 2:44.

How does cabling affect my system?

Let's talk about the importance of good cabling.

There are two different kinds of cables in your audio system.

Cables that carry electrical power, and cables that carry analog audio or digital audio signals.

Of the two, the most dangerous are the power cables.

If you see any power cables that are frayed or you can see the inside of the cable, replace them,

if they are in use,

carefully unplug the cable from the AC outlet only touching the plastic section around the plug, and replace the cable immediately.

When an electrical system is grounded,

current is guided along a pathway safely to ground so that it doesn't make contact with people and sensitive electronic equipment.

Sometimes there are other things like lighting and air conditioning equipment in the building

that may be sharing the same electrical circuits with the sound system that can generate noise in the sound system.

If you can switch to other outlets in the building it may solve your noise issue.

However, if you need to remove or lift grounds in your sound system,

the signal cables are the safe place to do this.

Use these signal ground lift adapters.

If you are using DI Boxes, they often have a ground lift switch to do the same thing.

Let's talk about cables that carry audio signals.

One thing to be very aware of is,

if you don't follow the electrical rules we talked about and provide a safe path to ground,

your audio cables will try to get rid of this current possibly causing a shock hazard for your talent.

Stick with name brand cabling to assure the best in sound quality as well.

Bad cables on microphones and instruments can cause clicks, pops, buzzing and even intermittently not work at all.

If you're walking across your stage and pick up or move a cable that starts to hum, click or buzz - stop right there,

find the bad cable and replace it immediately.

It's always better to find these out during rehearsal or sound check,

than on Sunday morning in front of the whole congregation.

Oh and by the way, make sure you have a few extra cables handy.

They do wear out!

Optimizing Your Monitor Mix & Avoiding Feedback - Duration: 3:16.

What are the keys to successfully create an effective monitor mix? Are there any great tips on how to avoid feedback? What's better – the classic "Wedge" monitor or "In-Ear"?

Okay, let's talk about monitors.

There are two kinds of onstage monitors:

the classic "Wedge" speaker that sits on the stage facing the band,

and the "In-Ear" monitor that is worn in the ear by each band member.

Each "In-Ear" headset is connected to a small controller that sits on a floor stand next to the band member.

The band member can now "Dial-In" what they want to hear in the overall mix,

and have any of the different channels as loud or soft as they want,

and they have the ability to change those setting on the fly at any time.

The biggest advantage to the "In-Ear" solution is

– no sound comes out of the monitor that could be picked up by any of the onstage microphones

– no audible sound outside of the earphone itself means, "No Feedback".

Here's a Tip for making sure "In-Ear" monitors work the way they are supposed to;

make sure that you set both the "Input" gain for each channel on the mixing console,

and the "Output" gain to the monitors "Before" the band starts setting their personal mix.

Now let's talk about on stage speaker monitors.

The first rule of successful monitor mixing for onstage monitor speakers is;

the quieter the overall "Onstage" volume is, the better sounding the "Main" mix will be in the house.

It is important to remember that sound coming from a "Speaker" is very directional,

so it is crucial that each onstage monitor or for that matter anything the player needs to hear be pointed directly at their ears,

and be as reasonably close to the musician as possible.

Arrange amplifiers for the instruments so that they are facing the musician, and are tilted up and pointing at their ears.

Acoustic drums are often a problem because their volume or loudness often interferes with other musicians hearing their monitor levels.

Again, before raising the volume of the monitors,

try a different placement for the drums – move them back and away from the other band members.

Ask the drummer if they can damp the snare or use smaller and darker cymbals.

The more you can fix the source before reaching for the volume control, the easier your job is going to be.

Another important tip;

you should first set your Input Gain levels for the band and all vocals,

and establish your overall Front of House sound level before setting your monitor mix.

To feel comfortable, performers need to hear three things;

themselves, whatever is keeping time for them – either a click track or the drums,

and whatever they are harmonizing with.

If they complain that they can't hear something very well,

first ask them if there is something they or you can turn down to make their monitor mix work better for them.

The rule to live by?

Less is more!

Selecting a PA system For your Worship Venue - Duration: 3:03.

We have no idea of how to even start thinking about a sound system. What are the things to consider when starting to select a PA system for our church?

Here are some tips on how to determine what your basic equipment needs may be.

The first you want to think about are three different aspects of size.

How many input channels do you need in your mixer?

How many outputs do you need in your mixer?

How much power or "Watts" do you need for your speakers/amps?

Powered speakers can make things much easier because they have both the power amp and speaker integrated together into one cabinet.

The basic rule of thumb in determining wattage is – for spoken word and no music, one watt per person

For full range sound with music, use two to three watts a person.

Example;

if you have a 200 person church with music in your worship service,

you should look for a system with at least 500 watts of power handling.

You will also need to think about the number of inputs you will need on the mixing console.

Things to consider:

How many microphones are you going to need?

How many instruments will you have?

How many computer inputs?

How many A/V devices?

And, how many open channels for future expansion?

Something that is important to remember is, most instruments are stereo line level signals,

so you will need to count those inputs as two – left and right.

For determining the number of outputs from the mixing console,

you need to determine how many different output mixes you are going to need,

this will probably include:

Different monitor mixes

Audio feeds to greenrooms, cry rooms and other ancillary rooms outside of the main chapel

Audio feeds for live streaming and recording.

You will need to determine where your speakers are going to be placed,

and how many speakers you will need to make sure you have good coverage of the entire sanctuary.

It's a good idea to make a checklist of all these items before you go and talk to an audio professional.

That's going to make your conversation easier and more fruitful.

Setup and Teardown Tips For Portable Worship Sound Systems - Duration: 2:40.

We have to setup and tear down our worship system every, are there tips on the best way to do that?

Let's talk about setting up the gear.

Make sure everything is set up properly to avoid accidents and potential safety issues.

Make sure your keyboards have a good sturdy stand so that you'll never have an issue with it falling over.

And make sure you have instrument stands for all the guitars and bass.

Start with the big gear and move to the small gear.

That means setting up the drum kit, keyboard rig and instrument amplifiers first.

For these videos, we had to tear down the gear each night and put it back up the next day.

So we marked the exact position of all the gear with tape to make it much easier to return the gear to right place each time.

Even more important is making sure the microphone stands are set to the right height for each vocalist.

If you are using speakers that sit on tripod stands, make sure they are as far apart as possible,

pointed in the right direction, are at the same level, and are high enough to project over the first row.

The last to do is run you're cabling.

By waiting until all the gear is placed, you can ensure the stage will have the cleanest look,

making it easier to tape down or cover to prevent people from tripping over it.

Make sure when you run cables and setup your mixer channels, you do so in a logical order, and in logical groups.

For example, put all the drum mics in a left to right order on consecutive channels in the audio snake and mixer inputs.

Example; kick drum in channel 9, snare in channel 10, over heads in channels 11 and 12, etc.

Do the same with vocal microphones in order from house left to house right onstage,

so the layout of the channels reflects the physical layout of the stage as it faces you.

All of this preparation will make your life much easier

when are sitting at the mixer and having to deal with changes in real time.

It's amazing,

but many times church sound problems can be fixed without having to buy new gear,

by just moving some of the key components like microphones and speakers a couple of feet to find the optimal position.

How To Place & Use Microphones Correctly - Duration: 2:39.

How do I know where to place mics, and how to use them properly?

Placing microphones is one of the most important jobs of the worship audio volunteer,

and just as important is teaching people who are part of the worship service how to properly use them.

One of the biggest challenges for the Worship Team is,

most of the people participating in the service are not professional performers,

and don't have much experience using microphones.

A big part of your role will be coaching inexperienced people to feel comfortable handling and using microphones.

Here are some techniques you can teach them.

Have them hold the microphone in one hand.

With their thumb and little finger extended on their other hand, move that hand up to their lips.

Then move the mic hand up so that the top of the mic is touching their extended little finger.

Now tilt the mic 45 degrees so it is pointed at their mouth.

If this technique is too complicated for them, have them touch the microphone head to the bottom of their chin.

Another challenge for worship audio is micing choirs.

This will often require multiple mics, and there is an important audio rule to remember concerning this.

it's called the 3:1 rule.

When using two microphones to mic one source, you will get the best results by placing the second mic three times the distance from the first mic that the first mic is from the source.

When micing drums or acoustic pianos, same rule, but use inches instead of feet.

There are different styles of microphones designed for micing choirs,

some are floor mounted that are really good for smaller churches.

You can usually achieve a very mix by just moving them around until you get them in the sweet spot.

You can also use mic placement to favor a balance of people that have better tone and pitch than those that may have timing and pitch challenges.

Remember, in the end it's your job to make it sound as good as possible.

Branched Chain Amino Acid Myths Vs. Facts (BCAAs Vs. EAAs) Dr. David Minkoff. - Duration: 6:29.

Hi, it's Dr. Minkoff here.

You know, I look around and I see things advertised all over the place

and one of the things that's promoted heavily in athlete communities,

are things called "branched-chain amino acids".

So, I want to talk to you a little bit about it. So you can understand this.

And see that this is a lot of promotion and hype,

but not much substance.

Now, what is this thing called a "branched-chain amino acid"?

First of all, what is an "amino acid"?

Amino acids have carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.

And they're mixtures of these things.

There's about twenty-two of them that are used in the human body.

And they are the building blocks of our proteins.

Now, protein is hair, and skin, and enzymes, and many hormones.

And really, it's the body structure.

So, amino acids are like an alphabet.

And you put them together in the right sequence,

and the right amount,

and you get a protein.

Now some amino acids are really simple

and some of them are really complex.

And the other thing is, so it's carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, plus N, which is nitrogen.

And in Greek, nitrogen is "amino".

So there are amino acids.

And an acid is a substance that's got a COOH on it.

That means it's an acid. Okay?

But it's got to have a nitrogen.

So all amino acids have nitrogen.

Now there are three amino acids of the twenty-two,

and they're all essentials.

So there are three of eight essential ones,

and the essential ones you have to get in dietarily.

We can't make them.

If you have the eight,

you can make the other fourteen

to equal twenty-two.

Three of these are called "branched-chain amino acids".

And the chain is going like this, and it's got a branch in it.

That's all it means.

And those are leucine, isoleucine, and valine.

Now the idea that people say is,

if you take branched-chain amino acids,

you will recover faster,

you will build muscle faster,

you will improve your body.

But we know that if you want to build a protein,

or recover a protein,

or repair a protein,

you've got to have eight amino acids.

The essential eight.

You can't have three of eight.

Now, there have been some very elegant studies done

where if you give these eight,

and they're very specific, in the specific ratio,

that the body will take those in,

and utilize those

and make protein.

But if you take three,

which are the branched-chains,

you won't make any protein!

Because there's five missing!

And the only thing that happens is,

your body turns this into fuel.

And you might as well just not even take an amino acid

and have a banana,

or a GU Gel,

or something like that.

Because you're not making any protein out of three amino acids.

So the hype on "Oh, take branched-chain amino acids. They will really help you."

No. Don't waste your money.

Take eight essential amino acids, and they will help you,

because your body can make protein out of it.

And every time you get the impulse

or you see a promotion to take branched-chain amino acids,

take a carb instead.

It will work the same way.

Amino acids make proteins.

You need eight of them.

To actually do it,

three of them won't cut it.

So, I'd just pass on the branched-chain amino acids,

because they're really not going to do anything for you.

Except cost you some money.

There's one other aspect of it, which is,

since there's been so much promotion on branched-chain amino acids,

and people fall prey to the promotion that,

"Oh, it's going to do it", or "This guy's got muscles and that's what he took",

but the true test of it is,

and, and look, all of us are susceptible to these things,

so, the true test of this is this,

if you take the right balance of eight essential amino acids,

you will see proteins being made in the body.

If you just for one day took branched-chain amino acids,

and you measured, did the body actually utilize those branched-chain amino acids to make protein?

Do you know how much protein would be made from those?

If you just ate those all day long?

None.

So, it requires the other five amino acids to be taken at the same time

in order to make protein.

So what we want to do is, we want to do things that are going to actually work

and work well.

If you just take leucine, which is one of the branched-chain amino acids,

it does stimulate gene response to build protein.

Okay, that's real.

But, if you don't have the other five amino acids,

when you take those three while the body is geared up to make protein,

it's not going to have what it needs in order to make that protein.

And so what we want to do is make sure,

when we take this in,

because we want to build protein,

that then we've got it there and it'll actually work.

Nuovo cognome, nuova vita.
