USA news on Youtube Aug 16 2018

it's not raining today, it's quite nice today

still 90% humidity

We're on our way to pick up the car we rented

and we're going to go to visit

it was a rice plantation

as we explained yesterday, there was

it was an economy based on slavery

so here we go, we're going to visit it and we're taking you with us

here we are with the car, we got a cute little Jeep

Here we are at Boone Hall Plantation

the oldest working plantation in the States

so we're going to visit the house

the spaces where slaves used to live

if you like nature

and if you like pecan

it's a pecan tree, and pecans grow here

in this little green thing

it's just right here

voilà, just need to pick them up

and make a pie

So, we're coming to the end of the visit, here where they

used to stock the cotton

so I hope that you enjoyed the

visit of the oldest working plantation in the U.S.

to remind you, here

we learned that they used to make bricks, indigo, cotton, pecans

at its height, this plantation had more than 300 slaves

which is crazy

We discovered with the songs we heard in the video the Gullah culture

it was when the African people were taken from Africa to the U.S.

who created the language

and the culture

with all the African cultures brought here

it was so interesting

Going crazy during a full moon. [VLOG 10] Video by Psych-Minded - Duration: 5:46.

I just finished filming. I just finished filming two videos. Yay! This is

the tenth vlog. I can't believe it. 10th vlog y'all. I'm not really sure

what I'm gonna say on this episode but I'm gonna take you guys with me today. I

have to go into town. I do errands once a week, at least, like -- a big errands day. I

have to go to Beaverton, which is like 30 minutes away from me. We'll see what

happens -- we'll see what we get into. I cannot believe there is no glare on my

glasses! It's a full moon coming up -- by the time you watch this it will have

already passed, but I'm dealing with the funky effects of that. Please comment

below if you are in struggle city also whenever there is a full moon. It's not

necessarily like a bad energy it's just like a lot of energy. It's like a lot

seemingly coming at once and that's like what full moons feel like.

So I needed

this sweet baby boys help today. He did so good! I needed his help for a video --

look at how proud he is! Yes! You did so good, honey! He did so good. I needed his

help with an emotional support animal video because he is an esa and has been

an emotional support animal for a little bit now. I wanted him to be a part of

it. Look at how happy he is! I think by the time you guys watch this vlog you'll be able to

see his debut on the channel. He's been in -- he's been in the vlogs but this is

the first time I've had one of my dogs in one of my educational clips. I think

he's excited.

So this is why I bought the tripod. I'm sitting in traffic. I just heard this

story come on the radio. The traffic report came on and the host said

that the 5 -- the freeway, is now open in both directions. Apparently it was closed

down for three hours in both directions this morning and I'm thinking that's

weird. Why -- why would they do that? Turns out there someone was having a

mental health crisis. They said a gentleman was threatening to

jump and that he has since been taken to the hospital and is being taken care of.

And I thought that was really incredible -- that was something really intense and

really sad to hear first thing in the morning, when I'm having a great day and

my day's going well or whatever. It was really hard and I'm always really

touched by stories like that. It's just a real blessing that he's alive still and

is getting the help that he needs from professionals and trying to get a new

it is June 27th on a Friday. It's a full moon today --

lunar eclipse, also. I have been having a terrible week, not for any particular

reason. That's why I'm vlogging about it because it hasn't been for any

particular circumstance. I have just felt like crap mostly because of the moon.

I've also been in this place of like being really reflective of like what

I've been doing for the past couple months and like what my priorities have

been for the past few months.
