Unlockable Fixed Camera Mode In Resident Evil 2 Remake THEORY | What Is Capcom's Secret "Something"? - Duration: 3:17.

Fixed Cameras were a part of growing up a Resident Evil fan.

The first 8 games all used this camera mode!

However, with graphics technology moving forward, and a Resident Evil 4 game that changed the

face and direction of the RE franchise, fixed cameras disappeared.

While the latest version of RE2 is a confirmed 3rd person OTS title, Capcom has discussed

a special "something" to add to the replayability of the game…add that to a few screenshots

we've seen so far and we have to ask the seemingly ridiculous question:

Will there be a classic fixed camera tank control beat the game unlockable mode in Resident

Evil 2 Reemakkeee?

The developers have been adamant that they are going to stay away from fixed camera.

Are they telling the truth or trying to throw us off the scent?

The first short clip is from the RE2 trailer.

Leon running…but not Over the Shoulder.

Probably a Cut scene.

Next a promo screen shot of Leon fighting a zombie….but not Over the Shoulder.

Probably a Marketing pic.

Finally a behind the scenes shot of Leon in a puzzle room…but not Over the Shoulder.

Probably a design image.

It's a long shot, but what if those clips are from an in-game secret fixed camera mode?

We do know that in development, that Capcom at least considered Fixed cams, and you know

that they know that die hard fans know that they enjoy fixed cams because Capcom showed

that back in RE5's DLC Lost Nightmares when they added a fixed camera mode easter egg.

This was a really cool mode for fans on paper, but in execution it didn't turn out that great,

with the camera being too far away and the controls being clunky.

Aiming in a 3D world that is fixed camera with different angles in each scene is almost

impossible.

So they'd have to change the aiming mode to the same way it is in RE1 Remake.

So do you have to plan fixed camera games from day 1 in order to make them good?

In that case, if we did get a bonus fixed cam mode in RE2 Remake, would it be as great

as the original, or would it be a thrown together mish mash of tank control madness in an game

engine that doesn't want it?

Keep in mind in Resident Evil 1 remake it was fixed camera but you could choose to use

tank controls or updated controls.

While a majority of fans seem to like this Over the shoulder re-imagination in a more

modern view, those fixed camera die hards still remain, and they can at least hold out

a bit of hope that Capcom can hit them with the surprise camera mode of a lifetime in

Resident Evil 2 Reeemakkke.

Crimson Army, would you like a classic RE2 mode unlockable in RE2 Remake with fixed cams

and take controls?

Do you think Capcom will have something else for their Replayability something?
