Trey Gowdy's Stunning Move Left Robert Mueller Speechless

Robert Mueller's Russia investigation hinges on one question.

Did the Trump campaign collude with Russia?

But Trey Gowdy just made a move that could answer that question once-and-for-all.

The collusion narrative gained traction in the media when BuzzFeed published the unverified

Christopher Steele dossier.

The memo – commissioned by the mysterious Fusion GPS – claimed Russia had compromising

information on Trump and that his campaign colluded with Russia to rig the 2016 election.

But what were the origins of the dossier?

Who paid for it?

Was Fusion GPS also being paid by the Russian government when they commissioned the memo?

And was Steele on the FBI payroll when he put this document together – and did the

Bureau use the document as the basis for their counterintelligence investigation into the

Trump campaign's ties with Russia?

These are serious questions currently being stonewalled by both the FBI and Fusion GPS.

Now the House Intelligence Committee – which Trey Gowdy is a member – has subpoenaed

documents they believe will shed light on these matters.

The Washington Examiner reports:

In the most significant escalation yet in the wrangling between Congress and the FBI

over the Trump dossier, the House Intelligence Committee has subpoenaed the bureau and the

Justice Department for documents relating to the dossier, the FBI's relationship with

dossier author Christopher Steele, and the bureau's possible role in supporting what

began as an opposition research project against candidate Donald Trump in the final months

of last year's presidential campaign.

The subpoenas are an indication of growing frustration inside the committee over the

FBI and Justice Department's lack of cooperation in the Trump-Russia investigation.

The committee issued the subpoenas — one to the FBI, an identical one to the Justice

Department — on August 24, giving both until last Friday, September 1, to turn over the

information.

Neither FBI nor Justice turned over the documents, and now the committee has given them an extension

until September 14 to comply.

Illustrating the seriousness with which investigators view the situation, late Tuesday the committee

issued two more subpoenas, specifically to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney

General Jeff Sessions, directing them to appear before the committee to explain why they have

not provided the subpoenaed information."

Trey Gowdy explained why these documents are so crucial.

The Examiner also reports:

"We got nothing," said committee member Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., who is taking a leading

role in the Russia investigation.

"The witnesses have not been produced and the documents have not been produced."

In a telephone interview Tuesday, Gowdy said the FBI has said it needed more time to comply,

and also that complying might interfere with the investigation of special counsel Robert

Mueller.

Whatever the reason, the documents haven't been produced.

"A subpoena is a tool of last resort in Congress," Gowdy, a former federal prosecutor,

said.

Like investigators with the Senate Judiciary Committee, who are also pursuing information

about the dossier, the House committee wants to know the origin of the FBI's involvement

in the creation of the document.

They are particularly interested to know whether the FBI or Justice Department ever presented

information from the dossier — unverified, possibly from paid informants — to a court

as a basis for obtaining a surveillance warrant in the Russia investigation.

"I want to know the extent to which it was relied upon, if at all, by any of our intelligence

agencies or federal law enforcement agencies," Gowdy said, "and to the extent it was relied

upon, how did they vet, or either corroborate or contradict, the information in it?"

Gowdy's answer is revealing.

The Bureau cited Mueller's investigation as a reason they have not yet produced the

documents.

But if the documents show the whole investigation was based on a fake news memo – or that

the FBI paid the man who put this together, it would drive a stake through the heart of

Mueller's probe.

President Trump on Tuesday lashed out at Rep. Maxine Waters as "one of the most corrupt

people in politics" while arguing the outspoken liberal is becoming "the face" of the

Democratic Party as the midterm elections heat up.

"Crazy Maxine Waters, said by some to be one of the most corrupt people in politics,

is rapidly becoming, together with Nancy Pelosi, the FACE of the Democrat Party," Trump tweeted.

"Her ranting and raving, even referring to herself as a wounded animal, will make

people flee the Democrats!"

Waters, D-Calif., who has repeatedly called for Trump's impeachment, has not backed

down from her comments calling for people to confront members of the Trump administration

at gas stations and anywhere else they're seen in public.

"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a

gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you

tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere," Waters said last month, later telling MSNBC

that protesters are "going to absolutely harass them."

Waters made the comments amid the liberal backlash over the White House's "zero-tolerance"

immigration policy, as well as several recent incidents where Trump administration officials

were confronted at or kicked out of restaurants in reaction to family separations at the border.

Waters on Sunday said she was "surprised" by criticism from Democratic leaders over

her statement that people should "push back" against members of the Trump administration

over its immigration policy.

"One of the things I recognize, being an elected official, is in the final analysis,

leadership … will do anything that they think is necessary to protect their leadership

and so what I have to do is not focus on them," Waters told MSNBC.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi distanced herself from Waters' remarks after they

were made public, while Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer took to the Senate floor

to say that harassment of political opponents was "not right" and "not American."

Waters claimed she was "surprised" that Schumer had criticized a member of the House

of Representatives, saying that she had "not quite seen that done before."

There is no question Democrats are favored to make gains in November.

The party out of power usually does well in the midterms.

But the Democrats are having dreams of a blue wave washing all across America and sweeping

them into power.

Pelosi may have miscalculated.

If Republicans believe Democrats will flood the country with illegal aliens and turn them

into reliable Democrat voters through amnesty—on top of banning guns—they could be more motivated

to turn out and vote.

Any uptick in GOP turnout would stem the Democrats' tide.

And it could cost Pelosi her job.

Jim Clyburn – one of the members of Democrat leadership in the House – said the entire

leadership team should resign if they fail to win the House.

Other members will only add their voice to that call if Republicans hang on to their

majority.

Judges have played key roles in the resistance to Donald Trump.

Politically motivated activists masquerading as judges have inserted themselves into the

campaign to destroy the President.

And now all hell is breaking loose after one judge handed down a ruling about Trump.

U.S. District Court Judge John Bates was the third judge to block Donald Trump's effort

to terminate Barack Obama's DACA executive amnesty program.

Bates claimed the Justice Department's argument that Trump acted to head off a lawsuit questioning

the program's constitutionality wasn't a good enough reason to end the amnesty give

away.

But Bates went even farther than two previous judges and ordered that Trump begin accepting

new amnesty applications as opposed to preserving the amnesty for those who already applied.

Politico reports:

"U.S. DISTRICT COURT JUDGE JOHN BATES SAID ON TUESDAY THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND

SECURITY'S LEGAL EXPLANATION FOR THE DECISION TO END THE DEFERRED ACTION FOR CHILDHOOD ARRIVALS

PROGRAM, OR DACA, WAS TOO FLIMSY AND, ULTIMATELY, UNPERSUASIVE.

"DACA'S RESCISSION WAS ARBITRARY AND CAPRICIOUS BECAUSE THE DEPARTMENT FAILED ADEQUATELY TO

EXPLAIN ITS CONCLUSION THAT THE PROGRAM WAS UNLAWFUL," BATES WROTE IN HIS 60-PAGE OPINION,

RELEASED ON TUESDAY EVENING.

"NEITHER THE MEAGER LEGAL REASONING NOR THE ASSESSMENT OF LITIGATION RISK PROVIDED

BY DHS TO SUPPORT ITS RESCISSION DECISION IS SUFFICIENT TO SUSTAIN TERMINATION OF THE

BATES IS ALSO OPENING UP THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION COULD BE ORDERED

TO TAKE NEW DACA APPLICATIONS, SOMETHING NO OTHER JUDGE HAS REQUIRED.

BATES SAID IN HIS DECISION ON TUESDAY THAT IF DHS DIDN'T COME UP WITH A NEW, BETTER

EXPLANATION FOR THE RESCISSION WITHIN 90 DAYS, THE ENTIRE PROGRAM WOULD BE RESTORED.

A JUSTICE DEPARTMENT SPOKESMAN, DEVIN O'MALLEY, SAID THE ADMINISTRATION REMAINED CONVINCED

THAT ITS ACTIONS WERE LAWFUL.

"TODAY'S ORDER DOESN'T CHANGE THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE'S POSITION ON THE FACTS: DACA

WAS IMPLEMENTED UNILATERALLY AFTER CONGRESS DECLINED TO EXTEND BENEFITS TO THIS SAME GROUP

OF ILLEGAL ALIENS.

AS SUCH, IT WAS AN UNLAWFUL CIRCUMVENTION OF CONGRESS," O'MALLEY SAID.

"THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY THEREFORE ACTED WITHIN ITS LAWFUL AUTHORITY IN DECIDING

TO WIND DOWN DACA IN AN ORDERLY MANNER.

… THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT WILL CONTINUE TO VIGOROUSLY DEFEND THIS POSITION, AND LOOKS

FORWARD TO VINDICATING ITS POSITION IN FURTHER LITIGATION."

Bates ruling essentially states Donald Trump does not have the right to be President.

DACA was a memo issued by the Department of Homeland Security which was part of the executive

branch.

Donald Trump is entitled to undo decisions made by the executive branch without a judge

demanding a good reason in writing as to why he did so.

Donald Trump is fighting the biased and partisan media, rogue so-called "judges," the Deep

State, and members of Congress all dedicated to taking him down once and for all.

Robert Mueller is out to get President Trump.

The special counsel has abused his authority and conducted a witch hunt on behalf of the

swamp.

But now he's walking into one meeting that could spell the end of his fishing expedition.

Trump recently hired former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for his legal team.

Giuliani has assumed the role of negotiating an end to the Mueller probe.

And that includes haggling over whether Trump will agree to an interview with Mueller.

The Washington Post reports:

TO THREE PEOPLE FAMILIAR WITH THE TALKS.

GIULIANI, WHO JOINED TRUMP'S LEGAL TEAM LAST WEEK, CONVEYED THE ONGOING RESISTANCE

OF TRUMP AND HIS ADVISERS TO AN INTERVIEW WITH FEDERAL INVESTIGATORS, BUT DID NOT RULE

…THE FACE-TO-FACE DISCUSSIONS ­ILLUSTRATED HOW GIULIANI IS FUNCTIONING AS TRUMP'S CHIEF

THE MEETING RENEWED TALKS THAT HAD LARGELY FALTERED SINCE THE RESIGNATION LAST MONTH

OF JOHN DOWD, A VETERAN LAWYER WHO WAS SERVING AS TRUMP'S LEAD OUTSIDE ATTORNEY ON THE

INVESTIGATION.

"I'M DOING IT BECAUSE I HOPE WE CAN NEGOTIATE AN END TO THIS FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY

AND BECAUSE I HAVE HIGH REGARD FOR THE PRESIDENT AND FOR BOB MUELLER," GIULIANI SAID IN AN

INTERVIEW WITH THE WASHINGTON POST LAST WEEK.

TRUMP SAID IN A STATEMENT LAST WEEK THAT GIULIANI "WANTS TO GET THIS MATTER QUICKLY RESOLVED."

But Trump is still wary of meeting with Mueller.

The special counsel tipped off prosecutors in the Southern District of New York and that

led to federal agents invading his attorney's home and office in order to seize documents.

Prosecutors don't conduct interviews with subjects to "get their side of the story."

They want this interview to see if Trump's answers line up with that they already know.

If just one detail is off, they will accuse Trump of lying to federal investigators and

demand Congress impeach him over it.

Trump should refuse any interview with Mueller.

Nothing good can come

of it.

PG&E Stresses 811 to Keep Ag Community Safe - Duration: 2:34.

Matt Toste has been ginning cotton for nearly 20 years in

Huron, located on Fresno County's west side.

This plant here can do between 500 to 600 finished bales a day.

We do quite a bit of cotton through here.

Even though the cotton gins now sit idle

for the season, workers stay busy with

equipment maintenance and facility upgrades throughout the

year. Some of these projects involve digging.

Out in this area and in the Central Valley we have a lot of

gas transmission lines

so we recommend that our ag customers

call 811 anytime they are going to do any kind of a digging

project. This particular customer has a gas transmission

line that runs right along their property. They have to be very

careful about anytime they are doing any work so they are very

observant of where the line is. By calling 811 two business days

in advance of a digging project, utility companies with

underground lines in the area can send representatives out to

mark the location of lines so customers can avoid them and dig

safely. It's important to call 811 because we have transmission

lines buried out here. There are markers, but it is safe and best

to call 811 to locate them. It's a free service and it's just a

phone call. It's real easy to use. There's a lot of reasons

you should call 811. If you didn't, the consequences could

be someone gets hurt, it causes disruption of service to your

area and possibly your operation could be shut down until repairs

event, held this year February 13th through the 16th in Tulare,

is the largest annual agricultural exposition of its

kind. A customer can come and ask us about a pump efficiency

test, about their rates, about their metering, a lot of

different information is provided at the expo. Meeting

face-to-face with customers at the expo provides an opportunity

for PG&E to showcase new technology and stress the

importance of safety in the field, such as calling 811

before digging. We usually employ the same folks year in

year out. Their safety is important to us and it's

important to the community because we'd like everyone to go

home to their families at the end of the day.
