Was sarcasm, please do not eat hair products. I shouldn't have to say this, but the internet surprises me every single day.

Time to rinse. This shampoo is pretty strong y'all, like I mean, my roots are squeaky. Not in the way sulfates would

However, my hair does feel super soft to the point where I might lose my curl pattern in a few days

The shampoo is really good, it cleaned my scalp but it also conditioned my ends and helped remove

some tangles. So this is actually really, really good and I do recommend it. The conditioner has really

good slip, but it is more of a heavy greasy kind of moisture. So if you're prone to greasiness,

Beware. And when it comes to the stylers, I honestly can't really tell a

difference. This one has a little bit more hold and this one is more for like heavier moisture. But

they're pretty darn close

Children make up more than half of the refugee population, U.N. says

Children made up 52 percent of the refugee population in 2017, up from 41 percent in 2009, according to a study from the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees released Tuesday.

In South Sudan, 64% of the refugee population were kids.

The population of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) was composed of 54% children.

In Africa, 59% of the total refugee population were children.

By the end of 2017 Burkina Faso, Chad, Congo, the DRC, South Sudan and Uganda hosted refugee populations with more than 60 percent children.

There were 173,800 unaccompanied and separated child refugees in 2017.

The largest number of unaccompanied child refugees were in Ethiopia, which hosted 43,300 of them.

Kenya reported 18,300 of these children within their borders last year.

And 45,500 of the 138,700 unaccompanied child refugees worldwide applied for refugee status.

The total number of refugees and internally displaced people reached a record high last year of 68.5 million people, up by 65.6 million from 2016.

Of the 68.5 million people forcibly displaced, 25.4 million were refugees, 40 million were IDPs and 3.1 million were asylum-seekers, or displaced people waiting to receive refugee status.  .

Globally, the population of refugees and internally displaced people in 2017 was 42.

High Commissioner for Refugees Filppo Grandi, though the increase in displaced persons is persistent, there is still hope for progress if the global community works together to offer assistance. .

We are at a watershed, where success in managing forced displacement globally requires a new and far more comprehensive approach so that countries and communities aren't left dealing with this alone," Grandi said in a statement.

Syria, Colombia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo had the greatest number of displaced people in 2017, both internally and around the world.

These countries had 12.6 million, 7.9 million and 5.1 million displaced people, respectively.

In total, 68 percent of all refugees came from five countries, including Syria, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Myanmar and Somalia, according to the U.

Why are refugees, asylum-seekers and IDPs leaving? .

The increase of displaced people from 2016 can be attributed to continued conflict in Syria and South Sudan, as well as the nearly 1 million Rohingya refugees who fled to Bangladesh after facing violence and persecution in Myanmar, according to Grandi.

So a few hot spots that are becoming hotter, they are becoming more serious and existing ones that do not seem to be moving toward a diminishing of violence, a resolution of conflict, and therefore people do not go back, Grandi said at a Wednesday  news conference, And that result is an increase in displacement.

Civil conflict in Syria has been raging since 2011, after an initially peaceful uprising against Syrian leader Bashar Assads regime resulted in state forces killing and imprisoning thousands.

As the civil war continues, extremist groups like al-Qaeda and the Islamic State have also flocked to the country. .

In South Sudan, government and opposition forces have been in conflict since 2013.

Tens of thousands have died and the country is gripped by food shortages. .

Nashville GM David Poile said cap situations put five or six teams in position for top-end free agents — and knock about half the league out of the running.

Scientists discover fossil of ancient sea creature, name it after President Obama

It lived an uneventful life in Earths oceans 500 million years ago, but now this newly discovered creature has an unusual honor: Its been given the scientific name Obamus coronatus, a name that honors President Barack Obamas passion for science.

 (Coronatus means crowned.

The tiny, disc-shaped animal was about a 1/2 inch long, with raised spiral grooves on its surface.

It spent its entire life embedded on the ocean floor, likely never moving, according to scientists from the University of California – Riverside.

A second small animal, an egg-shaped critter that may have looked like a raisin, was also discovered.

It was given the name Attenborites janeae, after the English naturalist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough, who was known for his science advocacy and support of paleontology.

Both are among the earliest animals to exist on Earth.

They were discovered in a remarkably well-preserved fossil bed in a southern Australia mountain range.

"I've been working in this region for 30 years, and I've never seen such a beautifully preserved bed with so many high quality and rare specimens, including Obamus and Attenborites," said paleontologist Mary Droser of the University of California – Riverside, the lead author of two new studies about the discoveries.

The researchers dubbed the fossil bed "Alice's Restaurant Bed," a tribute to the Arlo Guthrie song and its lyric,"You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant.

The soft-bodied animals were visible as fossils cast in sandstone that had been preserved for hundreds of millions of years.

The species no longer exists.

"The two genera that we identified are a new body plan, unlike anything else that has been described," Droser said.

"We have been seeing evidence for these animals for quite a long time, but it took us a while to verify that they are animals within their own rights and not part of another animal.".

you were, you were drawn to it for a particular reason? -Yeah it's awesome

I want to work in food and it's a good city to live in...a lot of opportunities

and the food scene really good especially here. -So we were chatting a little bit

you were on a very different track and you kind of put it on...on hold. -Canceled it! -Canceled it! -I'm cancelling it...

-I love that you're committed okay and can you tell everybody what you canceled it

for? -Yeah, I was gonna go to law school, do that, but I love cheese and I want to do what I love...

so I figured cheese, work with that! -So is that a tough decision

to make or take I think that you know... law school sounds a little bit more

concrete especially in the old school way of looking at things... -It was tough..

it's been a lot of work the past year kind of accepting not being in a place where I'm wearing a button down shirt to work

and where I can...you know drink a beer in the middle of the day. -Sure

...but I mean I literally had to make a PowerPoint for my parents to show them

like this can be a real career and I can have a real job and future with this...

-Can I, can I ask you to like summarize the PowerPoint cuz it's interesting

right where we're in a place where like you could actually make your whole life

about cheese. -Yeah so the PowerPoint was basically...I kind of made it as like a tree and all the different branches

and possible careers that I could have...

expected salaries, and then you know like the education that I would need

different certifications I could get ...and then just how I would go about

doing all of that, classes I could take, education that I could get now that's not as expensive as law school...

-So is that like an approach you would take anyway or was

that really just so you could talk to your folks about it? It's...I like making PowerPoints...it was tough getting

my parents at first when I told them but... -What I think's interesting about it is just how how

like pragmatic it is right...it's not just kind of throwing caution to the

wind and eating cheese all day... -It's, that pragmatism has really helped me

actually in the cheese world...and food world in general...cuz I...

it's cool, it's kind of combining my college education and presenting skills

the reading skills, the analytic skills, that you wouldn't get from the culinary

background and putting it to use in this field... -Totally, I follow this guy called James

Altucher...talks about business but he talks about "idea sex" and what that this

kind of falls under in this case is like you're taking a background that was on a

certain track and you're mixing it with another track and coming up with your

own version of everything... -Yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing...I

like I always joke when people are like "oh you went to college" and I'm like yeah

study political science...it's really paying off right now. -Yeah so what's something about

cheese that nobody understands? -Uh...how blossoming the US cheese culture is

right now...I think it's...on the verge of blowing up... -Really? -People I think a lot of

times in the US are like "Ah, European cheese is where it's at...

like France, Italy...you can't get good raw milk cheeses in the US"...

you can get amazing US-made cheeses... my favorite cheese that I've ever had is US-made so

I think that's a common misconception... -Okay so, a couple things it's on the

verge what's happening in in culture that it's it's gaining traction what's

going on? -I think this generation, like 20's-30's is getting more conscious about their food...

and you've seen it with the craft beer

industry, people are no longer being like "I'll just get some Bud Lights"...

you know they're thinking "let's get some IPAs, what's local?" and I think those

ideas are starting to take shape in the cheese world

it's it's cool to see it's really exciting I feel like I'm in a market

place and feel that's yet to be defined. -Yes, and you're gonna help define it. -I am,

I plan to, you know. -Excellent. -Blaze that cheese trail. -Are you are you

making cheese? -I'm not that is a... -A whole different ball game... -Oh my god...rigorous and

I'm...I had a friend who did it and she said it was so tough... -So how do people get into cheese if they

know nothing about cheese? -So, that's pretty much what I did...

I came in to just you know with a "Google Degree", and I just went from place to place it was like "hey,

do you need a cheesemonger? -Right.

-And, I found my place, it's become my cheese home, Mecca for me...

-Ok, where's that? -Alphabet City beer Co. -Ok. -It's awesome we specialize in

craft beer and I came into it...their cheese section was good, I saw that they

put effort into it, but it still had a lot of room for development... -Yeah, so this is

appealing to small businesses, to breweries, to bars to have an element, a

cheese element...I mean now that we're here and talking about, it makes perfect

sense you can contrast with some some tastes and all that so yeah... -I mean

honestly I think it helps the beer because there are some cheese's where

you eat it it's good you love it but then when you have it with this beer it

becomes this whole new like flavor that you wouldn't get from eating the cheese

individually or the beer individually...-Right, and it's not a full meal I mean although I can

feel like it sometimes but they're just little taste pairings huh? -Yeah sure

-Yeah, yeah yeah...I think, I mean...the boards we make are fat...I mean, it's definitely filling...

...but, I like cheese because it doesn't feel like you're...settling on one item, you get to have a little adventure...

-We've talked about cheese the whole time which is fine

Kia recalls half a million vehicles in the U S due to airbag problem - Duration: 3:18.

Following news in March that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)

was looking into reports of faulty airbags in vehicles made by Kia and its affiliate

Hyundai, Kia has announced it is recalling more than half a million vehicles in the U.S.

because of the issue.

The NHTSA decided to investigate the matter after learning of six accidents in which four

people died and another six were injured.

In each of the crashes, the airbags failed to deploy because of an apparent electronic

glitch, Reuters reported.

Kia is recalling 507,000 vehicles in all, including 2010-2013 Kia Fortes, 2011-2013

Kia Optimas, and 2011-2012 Kia Optima Hybrid and Sedona vehicles.

In April, Hyundai recalled 425,000 Sonata vehicles in the U.S. over the issue.

This followed the recall of 154,000 Sonatas two months earlier, in connection with the

same problem.

Kia says it doesn't yet have a fix for the airbag issue.

On its website, the Korean company said that as soon as a remedy is confirmed, all owners

will be notified by mail with instructions regarding repair.

It says that letters will go out from July 27, 2018, adding, "In the interest of the

safety of your passengers, as well as your own safety, please contact your Kia dealer

to arrange for the recall repair to be conducted as soon as you are notified of the availability

of a recall remedy."

As to whether it's OK to continue driving one of the affected vehicles, Kia spokesperson

James Bell told Reuters that if the company does not have a remedy by July 27 or if any

customer feels unsafe in their vehicle, the company "will provide a rental car until

the repair has been completed."

The airbag system at the center of the recall is manufactured by German firm ZF Friedrichshafen,

which is cooperating and supporting the NHTSA's investigation.

The last few years have seen multiple recalls by numerous automakers around the world.

In March, Ford recalled 1.3 million vehicles because of a fault with the steering wheel,

while in February, Toyota recalled 65,000 vehicles over "improperly fastened bolts"

and another issue affecting cars' Vehicle Stability Control System.

BMW, too, recalled nearly 12,000 vehicles after discovering it had installed the wrong

software, while a relatively new player in auto manufacturing, Tesla, has also had to

issue several recall notices.

Kia's airbag problem is separate to the more famous Takata scandal, whose faulty airbags

led to the biggest recall in history, affecting more than 50 million vehicles from 12 automakers.

Takata filed for bankruptcy in 2017.
