USA news on Youtube May 7 2018

Hello, my name is Tom and

right now in this high seat, I'm waiting for some animals

that I can watch, but

I have been here for quite some time and I haven't seen anything so far

so I will rather go on to the main topic connected to

the observation of wild animals from a hunting shelter

and that's testing test this hunting knife

which is intended primarily for hunters in action.

We are just going to our shelter where we'll try to cook in a primitive way

and test this short hunting knife

It's not that easy to get there

As you can see, the surrounding vegetation is somewhat dense

I have this knife but

it is a hunting one and

not a machete.

So I have to use my hands

to break the branches in order to get to our shelter

This knife is not a machete and is only 11 cm long,

so it's not for something like cutting the branches etc.

We have arrived to our shelter

where we'll try to cook a primitive meal

for which will be this knife "Forester" helpful.

The first important thing for us is to make a fire and

we'll use this knife for it.

It's always important in nature when you're making fire

first to create a tinder.

That's the basic thing when making the fire.

As I said, this knife is good for small tasks where accuracy is necessary

so I know exactly what we use this knife for.

Knife always has to be sharp, which this one is without a doubt

The blade of this knife is 4,5 mm thick

talking about the knives, maybe you know that proverb

that you are just as sharp as your knife is sharp.

In practice you have to take care of your knife in nature

because that's probably your most valuable object.

It is important to protect it

and not to throw it on the ground.

That's why the people who invented this knife counted on you taking a good care of it

and that's why you can find a beautiful image of a deer in the nature on the blade, which makes the design pretty cool.

Now it's time to test how this practical this knife is.

So we're going to make a tinder.

First put the knife into the wood

then find some smaller twigs that are around here

for example this .. this is good ..

And I will show you how to do it.

We must create the tinder as small as possible to make it quickly catch fire.

So we'll take this twig ..

we will pull it slowly over the knife blade

and as you can see, we have quite a bit of the sawdust here

which peels off and we will use it to make a fire

with a firesteel.

So here we have the tinder ..

... and also potatoes and carrots

Important is not only the design but also

how practical the knife is.

and that's why we'll test it now. What can be more practical than slicing vegetables.

.. hurry up, hurry up ..

We can talk about the handle of this knife

while the food is still being cooked.

This knife has a handle that is made of wood

which I personally like the most and I call it the "Chamaleon Handle"

because when you take this knife to nature

it blends with the environment which is great.

You can also see that this knife has a steel foot ..

.. and the fire is warming me up ..

.. Anyways, teel foot is really cool to smash some things.

I don't know now ..

Yea, for example hazelnuts

you can crack them up, so this knife is very practical and

it helped us now with taking the potatoes out

and the carrot that will slowly but surely come to the final stage and will be done.

So it looks like the food is cooked.

As you have seen, this knife was quite helpful in many ways.

It helped us with a fire.

There was no problem with slicing vegetables and hot water doesn't affect it

when we pulled out the cooked potatoes.

For me this knife is a very good companion

thanks to which I can enjoy this primitive meal here

and certainly do not forget what I said

that the knife is just as sharp as you are.

So it is important to protect the knife and take care of it.

You'd also appreciate this wood handle

and a steel foot that you can use when needed.

All that's left is to start eating this food

Pity we have no salt here but ..

.. you see, we have salt! ..

So we got the salt here

We can add it to our potatoes

natural, primitive, 100% bio.

Excellent!

I would also like to say my thanks for sponsoring this video to

the e-shop chladnezbrane.eu that sent me this knife.

A link to this knife can be found in the video description.

So goodbye and see you next time.

Bon appetite!
