and keep your line strong.

Explaining the US-China trade deficit - Duration: 3:58.

A trade deficit is the difference between exports and imports.

And for the United States it's often negative.

It has been negative with China for about close to 20 years and it's grown because

the U.S. has consumed more goods from China than it has exported to China.

One reason for this is because U.S. firms often set up shop in China as part of foreign

direct investments in China in order to produce goods using cheap labor and then to re-export

them back to the United States.

It's these companies, these multinational firms, that create a lot of profit and at

the same time, they generate jobs in the United States in the services sector by hiring people

who do advertising or marketing or financial aspects for their companies.

In addition to that, a lot of goods are simply processed in China.

So that means that some goods are produced in other nations especially in East and Southeast

Asia, and they're processed or put together in China and then re-exported to the United States.

So it's far more complex than China just producing goods and sending them over to us, and us shipping goods to them.

Now, some people have pointed to the trade deficit as something that is very bad.

While others see it as something that is relatively neutral.

President Trump has pointed to it as a symbol of U.S. weakness.

And other China hawks have viewed it as a way in which China has attempted to exploit the United States.

Economists don't see it that way.

And the reason for that is because it makes consumption for American households far cheaper

than if American firms simply produce goods in the United States, in which case they would have to pay far higher wages.

Certainly it has reduced the number of manufacturing jobs that are housed in the United States,

because labor in developing countries like China or Vietnam is far cheaper than it is here.

So, China takes the dollars that we used to pay for goods imported from China and they

can either hold the dollars in terms of reserves or invest the funds in the United States mainly in the form of treasury bonds.

So they're holding U.S. debt which allows America to spend more overall.

So in general, it has been a positive for United States.

President Trump misunderstands and misinterprets what the trade deficit is.

He seems to view it as a debt.

A win or lose game, a zero sum game.

When in actuality, most economists view trade as a win-win solution.

Because in most cases, countries export the goods that they have a comparative advantage in,

that's relatively cheaper for them to produce, and they import goods that are relatively

more expensive for them to produce.

And so in this way, both countries are thought to win out from trade.

So a trade deficit is merely a measure of exports and imports.

It's not about who is winning or who is losing.

In the wake of the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting, many assumed then President Barack

Obama's tears were insincere; and it turns out, they were right.

Leaked emails prove the Obama White House was using emotional propaganda to brainwash

Propaganda isn't new to politicians, but it's nice to have confirmed what most of

us already know: gun control is literally being pushed on us by using emotional brainwashing.

Obama advisers sought to "tap people's emotions" for a huge gun-control push after

the Sandy Hook shooting.

Rahm Emanuel famously said that "you never want a serious crisis to go to waste," and

apparently that included the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre.

Two days after the horrific school shooting, the Chicago mayor advised then-Education Secretary

Arne Duncan to "tap peoples emotions" as they discussed how to leverage the tragedy

to push for gun-control restrictions, according to emails published Wednesday by the Baltimore

Post.

"What are your thoughts?" asked Duncan in an email with the subject line "CT shootings"

dated Dec. 16, 2012.

Emanuel advised him to move quickly.

"Go for a vote this week asap before it fades," he said.

"Tap peoples emotion.

Make it simple assault weapons."

Duncan replied, "Yup- thanks," to which Mr. Emanuel responded, "When I did brady

bill and assault weapons for Clinton we always made it simple.

Criminals or war weapons."

–Washington Times The 10-minute exchange came about two years

after Emanuel, who served for five years as senior adviser to President Bill Clinton,

left his post as White House chief of staff under President Barack Obama to enter the

2011 Chicago mayoral race.

This is simply more evidence of what we already knew: the easily manipulated have been being

brainwashed by high-level politicians to accept their own disarmament and slavery.

But it gets worse.

As the emails progress, the two tyrants discuss how to create more buzzwords to further manipulate

the emotionally weak and shape public opinion to push their dictatorial anti-gun agenda.

Duncan added: "Gun show loophole?

Database?

Cop-killer bullets?

Too complicated?"Emanuel: "Cop killer maybe.

The emails were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request submitted last

summer to the Education Department, according to the Baltimore Post's Ann Constantino.

Nicole and Josh Landers, the co-founders of the Parent2Parent Network in Baltimore County,

said the email exchange "demonstrates a shocking political conspiracy to draw upon

an agenda rather than focus on the murders of 20 school children and 6 educators from

Sandy Hook."

Ms. Landers, who participated in last month's roundtable discussion on school discipline

with Betsy DeVos, has decried the 2014 federal guidance's impact on school safety and the

learning environment.

"It appears that former Secretary Duncan was and is using the gun control platform

to deflect from his failed educational policies which have negatively impacted nearly 51 million

students and over 3 million teachers nationwide," they said in a statement.

Humans have proven to be easily manipulated.

There are some in the United States that march around begging for the government to forcibly

take away their fundamental human rights.

As if that's not disturbing enough, those same people were brainwashed by the politicians

they trusted to accept their fate as a lesser human so the government can grow and exert

even more power over them.

Unfortunately, there will be leftists who defend these actions unwilling to admit their

very opinions were manipulated and decided for them.

It's no longer a conspiracy theory, but a fact that people are being brainwashed using

their emotions against them to accept a totalitarian agenda.

Corrupt former FBI Director James Comey is starting to squirm as the noose begins to

tighten around his neck.

Recently, President Donald Trump ordered the Department of Justice to investigate the FBI

and DOJ for spying on his presidential campaign in 2016.

Up until now, Comey has enjoyed obscene amounts of attention from the mainstream media with

which he took the opportunity to disparage our President and attempted to damage the

administration's credibility.

The signs are all there to indicate we are dealing with a washed out federal law enforcement

official who made some very bad and prosecutable decisions.

In a nutshell, Comey is panicking.

"Facts matter.

The FBI's use of Confidential Human Sources (the actual term) is tightly regulated and

essential to protecting the country.

Attacks on the FBI and lying about its work will do lasting damage to our country.

How will Republicans explain this to their grandchildren?"

Comey wrote on Twitter.

This was James Comey's best idea?

Why would his highly paid attorney allow him to go on Twitter and further complicate the

job of defending him in court in the future?

Comey's attempt to explain or offer insight into why the FBI would plant a spy in the

Trump campaign is utter nonsense.

Did the FBI plant a spy in the Hillary Clinton campaign?

What about Barack Obama?

I highly doubt it.

Comey wants us to buy this line of bull that the FBI, under his direction, spied on Trump

for the protection of the country.

He's simply frantic over the fact that he got caught, and the sooner he closes his mouth

the better.

Because Comey is a narcissist, he had to keep talking.

Here's what he added to his panic-driven Twitter rant.

"Dangerous time when our country is led by those who will lie about anything, backed

by those who will believe anything, based on information from media sources that will

say anything.

Americans must break out of that bubble and seek truth," he wrote.

In my opinion, attacking voters as "those who will believe anything" is hardly a good

strategy to win public support or sympathy.

It looks as if Comey is abandoning his role as the demure former FBI Director who calmly

lies his way through interviews.

He's looking more and more like the stooge we know he is.

In response to James Comey's Twitter meltdown, President Donald Trump came up big with one

humiliating fact as he was briefly interviewed outside the White House on Wednesday, May

23, 2018, according to Fox News.

"All you have to do is look at the basics and you'll see.

It looks like a very serious event but we'll find out," Trump said.

"When they look at the documents, I think people are going to see a lot of bad things

happened.

I hope it's not so because if it is there's never been anything like it in the history

of our country.

I hope, I mean if you look at Clapper, he sort of admitted that they had spies in the

campaign yesterday inadvertently," Trump added.

"But I hope it's not true, but it looks like it is.

I think James Comey's got a lot of problems.

If you look at what he did.

If you look at all of the lies, the tremendous lies.

If you look at all that's going on, I think James Comey's got a lot of problems.

Now, at some point, they have an IG report, and then let's see what James Comey has

to say, but I assume he's covered in the IG report.

But if you look at what he said, all of the lies, all of the fiction, I think he's got

a lot of problems," Trump continued.

"No, we're not undercutting.

We're cleaning everything up.

This was a terrible situation.

What we're doing is we're cleaning everything up.

It's so important.

What I'm doing is a service to this country, and I did a great service to this country

by firing James Comey.

Excuse me, a lot of people have said it.

And you go into the FBI and a lot of those great people working in the FBI they will

tell you, I did a great service to our country by firing James Comey," Trump exclaimed.

"I want them all to get together, and I want them because everybody wants this solved,

but a lot of bad things have happened.

We call it 'Spygate.'

You're calling it 'Spygate.'

A lot of bad things have happened.

I want them all to get together.

They'll sit in a room.

Hopefully, they'll be able to work it out among themselves," Trump added.

The bottom line here is that Comey should think about spending what little time he has

left as a free man with his family instead of mouthing off on Twitter.

Judgment day is coming for him and other corrupt government officials who attempted to undermine

the very fabric of our democracy.

I could not agree more with President Donald Trump, he did our country

a "great service" by firing James Comey.

The White House has shared some shocking information with the public, that might have the Obama

family and their supporters a little ticked off, after they see the stunning irresponsibility

just exposed.

Taxpayers especially won't be happy to read this as this comes directly out of their pockets,

one way or another, and they don't even get to taste the fruit of their labor as the

Obama family sucked them dry for $114 million, the amount the Obama's used for their own

personal luxury and campaign funds.

The White House revealed on their website that the Obama family cost taxpayers, about

$114 million to pay for family vacations and campaigning.

Some of the details were revealed and the numbers were quite staggering.

One could only imagine spending even a small portion of that on a vacation.

Some families struggle to make it to one vacation per year, but sure would love the chance to

go on vacations that cost millions!

This numerical disaster might tie into the fact that Congress may go after Barack's

pension.

They were somewhat prompted to look into this after he charged $400,000 for a speech, but

Obama had done something to put a stop to that.

He previously vetoed a bill that would curb the pension of former presidents, if they

earned $400k or more in income.

Sounds sneaky, right?

Now that he put that bill on hold while he was in office, he was free to earn more than

$400,000 especially at once, something many might consider a ripoff just to have a single

person give a speech.

The logic here is that there's no need to pay someone a six figure pension, when they're

already making six figures on their own.

Obama blocked that from becoming a reality and now he's taking advantage of it.

Some political figures would like to rip that pension from the hands of Barack and Michelle,

and any other president who finds ways to earn over $400,000 on their own.

Do a former president and his wife really need $200,000 pensions, if they're making

an extra $400,000 on the side?

USA Today reported: "Last year, then-president Barack Obama vetoed a bill that would have

curbed the pensions of former presidents, if they took outside income of $400,000 or

more.

So now that former president Barack Obama has decided to accept $400,000, for an upcoming

Wall Street speech, the sponsors of that bill say they'll reintroduce that bill in hopes

that President Trump will sign it.

The Obama hypocrisy on this issue is revealing," said Rep. Jason Chaffetz, chairman of the

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and sponsor of the 2016 bill.

"His veto was very self-serving."

Chaffetz and Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, the sponsor of the companion Senate bill, say

they will re-introduce the Presidential Allowance Modernization Act this month.

The bill would cap presidential pensions at $200,000, with another $200,000 for expenses.

But those payments would be reduced dollar-for-dollar once their outside income exceeds $400,000.

The issue isn't a partisan one or at least, it wasn't last year.

The bill passed both the House and Senate with no opposition, and no veto threat had

come from the White House."

The information from the White House that discloses the amount spent by the Obama on

travel, and campaigns simply adds insult to injury as people slowly realize that President

Trump has been more fiscally responsible.

The numbers don't lie.

As provided from the White House: "Judicial Watch announced today that it obtained records

from the U.S. Department of the Air Force, and the Secret Service in response to a Freedom

of Information Act request and two FOIA lawsuits for travel expenses, by the families of former

President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump.

The total for Obama travel is $9,028,346.90, for this production of documents.

Added to the previously released costs, the known total for travel expenses for the Obamas

is now $114,691,322.17.

The total for President Trump's travels in this production is $2,821,367.34.

Added to the previously released costs, the known travel costs are now $10,381,792.35.

Judicial Watch obtained new Obama travel records from the Secret Service, as the result of

a May 2017 FOIA lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Judicial Watch's lawsuit produced the following travel records showing a total of $9,028,346.90

for Obama travel:

A pair of Obama family vacations the weekend of February 14, 2014, cost the Secret Service

$272,192.91:

Michelle Obama's annual trip to Aspen with her daughters, where she shut down the airport

for an hour cost $6,970 in air and rail, $5,614.99 in car rentals and $76,078.30 in hotels for

a total of $88,663.29.

President Obama's annual golfing trip to Palm Springs included a meeting with Jordan's

King Abdullah II, and cost $10,951 in air and rail, $10,166.79 in car rentals and $162,411.80,

in hotels for a total of $183,529.62.

Michelle Obama made two North Carolina trips in 2016 to campaign for Hillary Clinton.

Air Force expenses total $40,902.40.

In both trips, she took a C 40C military jet operating at $5,312 per hour.

Michelle Obama flew to Charlottesville then to Raleigh on October 4 for 2.1 hours at a

total of $11,155.20.

Michelle Obama flew roundtrip to Belville and then Salem on October 26, and 27 for a

total of 5.6 hours at $29,747.20.

In July 2017, Judicial Watch filed a separate FOIA lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for

the District of Columbia, for the Air Force and Secret Service travel expenditures for

the Trump family, during April 2017 and Obama family between January 2009, and January 2017.

Air Force and Secret Service records show President Obama's annual trips to Chicago

cost $7,444,780.78.

During fiscal year 2015, Obama flew 9 hours at an operating cost of $206,337, per hour

for a total of $1,857,033.

During fiscal year 2016, Obama flew 5 hours at an operating cost of $180,118, per hour

for a total of $900,590.

During fiscal year 2017, Obama flew 6.2 hours at an operating cost of $142,380, per hour

for a total of $882,756.

Secret Service records show a total of $3,804,401.78 in costs, between 2011 and 2016 for the Chicago

trips.

The Secret Service spent $3,372,399.07 in hotels, $423,428.28 in car rentals and $8,574.50

in miscellaneous expenses.

Secret Service showed expenses for Obama's post-presidency travels of $1,913,702.21,

including: $936,742.56 in hotels; $159,393.40 in air and rail; $2,684.11 in car rentals;

$819.70 in overtime; and $814,062.44 in miscellaneous expenses.

The destinations of these trips were withheld under "privacy" and "law enforcement"

exemptions."

Give me a few hundred thousand to play with and I could go on a few more vacations than

this!

It seems like the Obama family sure made the best of the taxpayer's money, but people

thought the Democrats were supposed to be the caring, and responsible type.

It sure sounds like they were quite capitalistic of the situation and figured hey, they're

in the White House, they can do whatever they want and everyone else pays for it.

Any of us would take a few family vacations, but it would be fairly hard to find a way

to waste over $200,000 on a single vacation.

The Obama family somehow did it and if Congress and President Trump have their way, then they

might be taking away that freebie pension from the Obama family.

Michelle might have to settle for a little bit less.
