USA news on Youtube May 18 2018

According to reports in Germany from earlier in the month, Borussia Dortmund would be open

to selling 19-year-old Christian Pulisic for a fee in the region of £50 million and Liverpool

ECHO reporter James Pearce would love to see him at the club.

Liverpool tried to sign Pulisic in the summer of 2016 but their £11 million bid was rejected

by Dortmund,

because they felt he had room to improve at the club, was key to their team and knew if

they waited a few years, they could cash in for more.

The sad reality for Klopp's former club is that they are stuck in the cycle of selling

their best players year on year,

and are struggling to break that cycle after selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this year

to Arsenal, with rumours almost perpetually surrounding their best players.

With Bild, via Sport 1, claiming that a £50 million bid would entice Dortmund to sell,

Pulisic could be out the door this summer and James Pearce has shed his thoughts on

the matter.

Pearce believes that with Dortmund's open-minded stance on selling him, Pulisic would 'fit

the bill' with regard to the type of attacker Liverpool will be targeting this summer.

Being able to play out wide and in central areas makes the American the type of player

Klopp would definitely have his eye on.

He only has two years left on his which means he won't cost as much as he would've last

summer.

If he doesn't move on and enters the last year of his contract without the intention

of signing new terms, he would be free to leave in 2020, meaning Dortmund would miss

out on a payday.

Liverpool have also been linked with out of favour Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele,

who signed for the Catalonians just last summer.

Elsewhere, Nabil Fekir has also been heavily linked with a move to Merseyside but his inclusion

in France's World Cup squad will complicate matters.

Trump's MS-13 'Animals' Line Was a Trap – and the Liberals Fell Right into It - Duration: 1:59.

Trump's MS-13 'Animals' Line Was a Trap – and the Liberals Fell Right into It.

"I'm not an animal.

I'm a human being," John Hurt famously said in his Oscar-nominated performance as

the Elephant Man.

If only he were alive today, he could have reprised that classic line – only this time

playing a tattooed gang leader from MS-13, perhaps one with a bloodied meat cleaver but

a heart of gold.

We know MS-13 members are lovely, lovely people deserving exactly the same respect as might

be accorded your grandma, your family doctor or your parish priest because liberals have

been telling us so all day.

Isn't this great?

Isn't this just about the best thing when progressive loons make such fools of themselves

in their increasing desperate attempts at anti-Trump virtue-signalling?

Isn't it exactly the kind behavior guaranteed to make Middle America go "I want nothing

to do with these people" and vote in even greater numbers for Trump in 2020?

Trump likely knew exactly what he was doing when he made his "animals" remark: drawing

his opponents out from under their rock with bait carefully calculated to make them show

themselves at their worst.

So, in the eyes of liberals, it's wrong to call someone an "animal" even if he

belongs to the most violent and organized criminal network in the U.S.

Even if he does stuff like this.

Good to know.

So 100 stabs, decapitation and heart removal definitely still qualifies you as a human.

But what about when MS-13 start taking off the kid gloves, stop playing nicey-nice and

start becoming seriously unpleasant.

What then?

what do you think about this?

A Germophobe and Nature Lover Help Clean The Los Angeles River - Duration: 3:31.

- Ah.

(action music)

^- The L.A. River is so important

^because it's such a landmark.

^- I just moved from New York to L.A.

This is my first time to the L.A. River.

- Thanks for coming out.

^You are two of the 10,000 volunteers

^that we're gonna draw out this year.

This is the soft bottom section of the river.

Last year we pulled out 140 tons of trash from the river.

- [Rachel] Oh my gosh.

- That otherwise would've ended up in the Pacific Ocean.

There are 2,000 storm drains that lead into this river.

And so if you drop a piece of trash, a cigarette butt,

in the street, it ends up here.

- Oh my god, I'm looking forward to the clean up today

because I am a L.A. native.

My parents came from Guatemala in search of a better life.

So it's very personal.

- [Rachel] I'm really excited to

get involved in the community and

be able to give back to my new home.

- I'm not afraid to get dirty.

- I'm a little bit nervous about all the germs.

But I'm gonna try to power through it

and not get caught up in my hang-up.

- [Christian] Let's venture out.

(upbeat music)

- [Rachel] What's the history of the river?

- This is actually a natural river.

It hasn't always been encased in concrete.

Centuries ago this is where the indigenous peoples

decided to settle because there was a body of water here.

And eventually the city grew up around it.

And then there were catastrophic floods in the 30s,

which is when the Army Corps came and encased it

hoping to just shunt all of that floodwater

out to the ocean as quickly as possible.

- How long is the river?

- It's 51 miles long.

So it's all the way from the valley to the ocean.

It's a huge body of water.

- [Rachel] It's all like these

little pieces in there.

- [Christian] So how do you feel about the dirt so far?

- The smell is throwing me off a little.

- Yeah.

- It's really not terrible now that we're in it.

- Yeah.

How many of these do you think are

produced daily in the world?

- Millions.

What is this?

Just more plastic.

Seems to be the reoccurring theme of the day.

- I thought it was just maybe,

cute little pick ups here and there.

- Little thicker, this isn't plastic?

- Yeah, yeah.

Little straws, but actually the problem goes deeper.

Oh.

Sheesh.

Look what I found.

- [Rachel] What's that?

- Another straw.

- [Rachel] Another straw?

- Yeah.

- These friggin straws man,

I'm never gonna use a straw again.

- [Christian] Until you're confronted with it, you're like

okay how am I contributing to...

- [Rachel] Yeah, like

how am I even a part of this?

- [Christian] Yeah.

- [Rachel] Now it's like, oh I see it,

I see why they're so weird about plastic bags.

- Well I'm picking up all these things,

I'm like, it all adds up.

- And it kinda like hurts my heart

to see trees intertwined with garbage.

Because every person drops one bag or

they use a straw or a to go cup, it's like

this is what's contributing so much of this plastic,

that it's everywhere.

- Similarly, if we all became a little more

conscientious of our habits.

- [Rachel] Yeah.

- We could also make that difference and make an impact.

- We picked up this much trash in an hour, this much.

- And that's just between you an I.

- [Rachel] I know.

- What is the greater vision for the L.A. River?

- We've been looking at ways of getting rid

of some of the concrete and really restoring the habitat.

And actually the water in the river,

contrary to popular belief, is much cleaner

than people realize.

- [Christian] Wow.

- [Marissa] Fishing, hiking along it, kayaking,

all of that is safe.

It's not the toxic body of water that

sort of the media has made it seem.

These trees, this habitat, wasn't here a few decades ago.

This is because of advocates at, like, FoLAR.

We're making progress and we hope to see more

of this sort of environment along the river.

Here's the BOMBSHELL FBI Report That Liberal Media Has Desperately Been Hiding - Duration: 13:05.

Here's the BOMBSHELL FBI Report That Liberal Media Has Desperately Been Hiding

It's no wonder that you've never heard of this bombshell FBI report until now.

Why?

Well, for starters it completely destroys the liberal "gun control" narrative and

explains exactly why this country NEEDS our Second Amendment.

However, the report has been uncovered and we have the details that blow the progressive

gun grab out of the water.

Active shooter incidents are defined as any incident involving one or more individuals

who are actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill those within a populated area — gang

or drug-related shootings notwithstanding.

There were 50 active shooter incidents in 2016 and 2017 combined, leaving many to question

if America is, in fact, safer when armed.

However, a recent investigation by the FBI in April showed that, in numerous incidents

involving active shooters, there were people who stopped them by use of a weapon.

"Armed and unarmed citizens engaged the shooter in 10 incidents.

They safely and successfully ended the shootings in eight of those incidents," read the report.

"Their selfless actions likely saved many lives.

"The enhanced threat posed by active shooters and the swiftness with which active shooter

incidents unfold support the importance of preparation by law enforcement officers and

citizens alike."

Ten active shooters had been confronted by citizens, and eight of them ended successfully,

according to The Daily Caller.

Four of those eight shooters were stopped by a lawfully armed citizen.

"In one incident, a citizen possessing a valid firearms permit exchanged gunfire with

the shooter, causing the shooter to flee to another scene and continue shooting," the

report read.

Yet, in the wake of so many gun shootings and violence, the call for disarming American

citizens remains.

According to Timothy Hsiao for The Federalist, it is not a matter of if guns increase violence,

but if they are a good means of self-defense.

"What matters is not the risk (or lack thereof) that guns pose to society, but simply whether

guns are a reasonable means of self-defense," wrote Hsiao, adding that to defend one's

life is a basic dignity that cannot be taken away in the name of "social utility."

"Rights function as moral 'trump cards' that override appeals to utility," he said.

"Like our right to life, our right to defend ourselves is a basic dignity that can't

be defeated just because it might produce a net benefit."

In nearly all national survey estimates, the result saw that defensive gun uses by victims

were nearly as common as offensive uses by criminals.

Though millions of Americans are legally permitted to carry firearms every day, most of them

cite self-defense as the first and foremost reason to do so.

"The overwhelming majority of the time, those guns are never drawn in anger," wrote

Paul Hsieh for Forbes.

"But innocent civilians can and do sometimes use their guns in self-defense."

Any conversation, Hsieh added, that centers around firearm policy needs to acknowledge

those that are saved by the legal use of guns and self-defense, such as those in the active

shooter incidents.

"The value of firearms in the hands of law-abiding citizens should be measured in terms of lives

saved or crimes prevented," he said, "Not criminals killed."

New BOMBSHELL Report Exposes Pro Russian Influence Over Crooked H's Campaign - Duration: 11:49.

New BOMBSHELL Report Exposes Pro-Russian Influence Over Crooked H's Campaign

Well, well, well.

John Podesta is back in the news!

Podesta who was formerly the White House Chief of Staff for Bill Clinton.

And more recently the Campaign Chairman for the Hillary Clinton 2016 Presidential run

is the source of scrutiny by Judicial Watch.

It is no secret that Podesta is clearly a supporter of Obama and the Clintons.

From 2014-2015 Podesta was also counselor to Barrack Obama!

As it turns out, recently released "emails show then-Obama White House Counselor John

Podesta Lobbying on behalf of the Podesta Group," as reported by Judicial Watch.

Podesta who has stepped down and handed the reigns over to his brother is still lobbying

for him.

From Judicial Watch Press Room:

"Released new documents from the U.S. Department of State showing the Podesta Group working

on behalf of the pro-Russia Ukrainian political group "Party of Regions."

The new documents also show then-Obama White House Counsel John Podesta lobbying on behalf

of his brother's firm.

The Party of Regions served as the pro-Kremlin political base for

By the standards of the Mueller special counsel operation, these emails alone would have been

enough for the Podestas to have been hauled before a grand jury or worse," said Judicial

Watch President Tom Fitton.

These emails are a stark reminder that the Mueller's special counsel operation seems

more interested in the alleged foreign ties of the Trump team, rather than Hillary Clinton's

(and Barack Obama's) associates."

Tom Fitton is NOT holding back and just nailed a well positioned nail in the coffin to end

the Mueller Witch Hunt.

Drop a comment below and let Fitton know we appreciate all of his hard work on behalf

Devin Nunes & Trey Gowdy Get Serious, Send DOJ Leakers Running To Their Lawyers With Joint Statement - Duration: 11:49.

Devin Nunes & Trey Gowdy Get Serious, Send DOJ Leakers Running To Their Lawyers With

Joint Statement

The two Republican House lawmakers involved in controlling the congressional investigation

into the DOJ actions during the 2016 election, Trey Gowdy and Denvin Nunes are now sending

a warning to America's top law enforcement group.

Both men have explained to the media that the DOJ and congressional Democrats have been

harassing investigative staffers.

The liberal leakers are really starting to be a pain in the butt as they are creating

significant damage in Washington D.C. Trey Gowdy and Devin Nunes are tired of watching

the media's corruption take place.

They have decided to take things into their own hands.

Reported by subjectpolitics:

From Fox News:

Two senior House Republicans are accusing the Justice Department of being behind "anonymous

attacks" in the press targeting a House Intelligence Committee GOP staffer who helped

author the committee's well-publicized memo alleging surveillance abuse by the FBI and

DOJ during the 2016 election.

"I would have a lot more respect for DOJ or House committee Democrats if they would

take out their frustrations on members of Congress, and leave staffers alone," South

Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee, told Fox

News on Monday.

"The members make the final decision and are responsible for them, not staffers."

"Attacking staffers, planting false stories, and endangering national security by leaking

sensitive information to the press, including information about intelligence sources — this

is what the DOJ is doing, and this why trust in the DOJ is rapidly eroding in Congress,"

said California Rep. Devin Nunes, the GOP chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

Correct.

This is getting out of hand.

The game has gone too far.

National security is at risk and if the left doesn't care and prefers to continue their

childish game of who can leak first, then Nunes and Gowdy may just have

to drop

the hammer.

The History of Lobster in America | Food: Now and Then | NowThis - Duration: 2:45.

Lobster used to be the least classy food in America.

Lobster hasn't always been a luxury food, reserved only for fancy dinner dates and

bougie mac and cheese. It actually used to be considered poor man's meat.

When European settlers first came to North America,

there was basically lobster everywhere.

They would wash ashore in two-foot-high piles.

You could just walk along the beach and collect them like seashells.

Or garbage.

And since there was so much supply, lobsters were cheap as hell

and had a bad reputation as poor folk.

Native Americans used lobsters as fertilizer and fish bait. So basically trash.

People who did eat lobster would go as far as burying the shells in the

yard instead of throwing them out, so nobody knew they were eating them.

The shade was real in colonial America.

Since lobster was considered trash food, it was saved for prisoners,

apprentices, slaves and kids. Honestly not a bad deal if you as us.

The lobsterism got so intense, that some servants made their employers

sign contracts saying they wouldn't feed them lobster more than twice a week.

But the turning point for our pinchy pals?

Canned food.

Canned lobster changed everything in the crustacean game.

Suddenly, middle America got a taste of those butter sea bugs,

and realized we had been wasting our best food on fertilizer.

Canned lobster became one of the most popular canned goods in the country.

And to think they hadn't even tasted the real stuff yet.

Luckily, some genius invented trains.

All those canned lobster fanatics were able to travel to

coastal areas like Maine & New England and get their first taste of fresh lobster.

People started to realize lobster was straight satisfaction in a shell.

It started popping up on menus in Boston and New York City,

and prices immediately began to rise.

The original hipster move.

The very first lobster shack opened in Vinalhaven, Maine.

And Maine is still obsessed with lobster to this day.

By the time World War II came around, lobster was considered a delicacy.

Because it was suddenly fancy food, it wasn't rationed during the war.

Rich people were the only ones who could afford it

and they kept scarfing it down at alarming rates.

And people pretty much haven't stopped since.

Sadly, the days of stumbling upon lobster mountains

on the beach or cracking shells on the cheap are gone.

Now that we're so obsessed with those meaty, clawsome creatures,

restaurants are able to charge a boatload for every

lobster claw, roll, and tail.

They call it 'market price'.

We call it 'worth it'.
