USA news on Youtube Apr 7 2018

Today I'll be covering San Francisco one of the most beautiful cities in California my advice

There's a lot of things that you can do within the city and within the outskirts today. We're gonna stay in the city

It'll take just one day to do all these things that I've done

We're gonna be renting the bikes going around the coastline enjoying it the whole day

and

I want you to be able to do the same thing because it was so cool that if you go to San Francisco you have

To at least do it once at least if you like the video hit the like button and subscribe it really helps me out

We rented our bikes at Blazing Saddles went to Pier 7 pier 39

Went to Lombard Street and to the Palace of Fine Arts

We crossed the Golden Gate and went for some pictures at battery Spencer and fort Baker

Then we went to Sausalito and took the ferry back to San Francisco

It's $8 50 per hour every bike needs like a security deposit

That's $100 per bike and you see these rails right here lift your bike put it on that hinge

And then you have to connect this

If you work for some specific

Company in their discount list you get a special rate of eighteen dollars fifty per day instead of eight dollars fifty per hour

That's super cheap. Don't forget to ask then. You might be lucky

hello everyone! How are you??

Pier 39 was opened in October 4th 1978 used to be a dock for boats now

It's a shopping center and a popular tourist attraction

From the pier one can see Angel Island Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge

There's a specific place where you can do aqua massage

a two-story carousel and an aquarium with views of California sea lions are one of the most dominant features of pier 39

Alcatraz again right over there must have been really hard to break out of that prison

And now we're going to a very beautiful street, it's called Lombard Street you see that cable cart. That's something really characteristic

from San Francisco

And this is one of the most peculiar streets in San Francisco because it goes down at a angle of 30 degrees

Goes up and down up and down zigzag. Let's go. This is the famous cable car

This side looks like Need for Speed Underground

Lombard Street is famous for being super steep and with eight hairpin turns

It's claimed to be the crookedest street in the world it is a major tourist attraction

Receiving around 2 million visitors per year and up to 17,000 per day on a busy summer weekend

Wendy

this is so fun!

This building right here is the Palace of Fine Arts. I recommend coming here, it's really nice. They're taking some pictures..

There was a wedding right there, just saw it before, a couple, the white dress

It's a perfect location for it I guess

And the villas around are really beautiful and all different architecture like

Some of them are Victorian some of them are like the new style

The Palace of Fine Arts was originally constructed for the 1915 panama-pacific

exposition in order to exhibit works of art other than art exhibitions

It's a popular attraction for tourists and locals and is a favorite location for weddings and photoshoots

The series sense8 and Alfred Hitchcock's vertigo were shot along other films here

Say hi to the Camera!!

Alfred Hitchcock chose this site for his film vertigo, the scene portraits Madelaine committing suicide at the bottom of the bridge, with

1500 deaths the Golden Gate Bridge is the second most used bridge for suicides in the world

So how do you like that view?

getting here wasn't extremely easy you can do it, but when you're 9 bicycles 9 different people with different personalities and

Physiques it's not that easy

It's fantastic

This side over here to my left, that's the Pacific and the other side is San Francisco and the little island of Alcatraz

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge. It's one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco

total length 2737 meters

width 27.4 meters

height 227,4 meters, open on the 27th of May

1937 the "Frommers" Travel Guide describes the Golden Gate Bridge as possibly the most beautiful certainly the most photographed bridge in the world

battery Spencer was a strategic defense outpost during first and second world war

The area's a tourist attraction now dramatic shots of the city and the Golden Gate Bridge

together can be unique if you have time go up-hill and visit marine headlands Vista Point

That's the spot where Schwarzenegger on terminator was filmed

It was an amazing day today wasn't it Sara?

So now we're in Sausalito and from Sausalito

One can see San Francisco

And it smells like like sea like the sea smell. I love it and to top it all off

Good old beer

Cheers

Hi guys, heeey!

There's two options to get back to San Francisco you can either go back by cab

It's quite expensive

But direct and easy or you can get a one-way ferry trip for twelve dollars and enjoy the spectacular lights of San Francisco by night

So the conclusion definitely visit San Francisco, I love that city! thumbs up for it!

I hope you liked the video, and I'll definitely see you on my next video. Bye

How to Travel With a Phone in Airplane Mode - Duration: 13:59.

Have you ever received a big bill from your phone company

after a trip outside of the country?

Hi, my name is Pascal, and welcome at this third training capsule to

help you on your next trip.

Today people of my generation do just about everything with their smart phone.

It is a very practical tool, but we do not do not realize how much all the data

that we consult comes from the outside.

I challenge you to put your phone in airplane mode for 24h.

Yeah, you come in the corner of your phone,

you find the little plane.

And you press on it.

You will be surprised how much you wont be able to do anything with it.

Wow wow wow !! Hold on…

If you're looking at me on your phone wait for the end of the video, otherwise ...

But if you can not do a lot with your phone,

it's only because you're not well prepared.

Every time I go on a trip, I download in my phone several information.

As soon as I leave Canada, I put my phone in airplane mode until my come back.

My first friend on my phone while traveling, it's Google map.

You know it, I like it to know where I am.

If you've listened to the first two episodes, you probably remember that I

presented you two tools be well oriented.

My watch, and Strava.

Well, here's a third one, like that, if you lose yourself, you will not be able to say that

it's because I did not teach you well.

Everyone knows Google map.

This is without a doubt the best map in the world.

But if you put your phone in airplane mode as I asked you at the beginning,

you'll realize quite quickly that without internet, the app does not serve much.

As in the example beside, if I zoom in France...

You see that ...

There's nothing on the map.

The data is not in your phone.

They are always on the internet.

I'll show you an unknown function from most people.

In google map, if you go upstairs to left in the menu and you're watching carefully

the options available, you will see that there is an option called '' offline maps ''

or zones hors connexion if your phone is in French.

What we see right here in the list is sections that have already been downloaded.

We will add one together.

It's not very complicated, everything in the blue box will be downloaded to the phone.

We zoom in on the map to select the region we want to download.

Download size varies by complexity of the file.

For example, if I want to download New York, we see below that it will occupy 340Mo in the phone.

But if I want to download an other place of the same

dimension including St-Tite, Saint-Stanislas-de-Champlain,

St-Pierre-les-Becquets, St. Wenceslas, including even Trois Rivière and Victoriaville, and

well here we took only 40MB.

If you're not too geek and that MB does mean anything to, we can imagine that the Mo are kilos.

that, a bag of 40 Kilos is 8 time and a half lighter than a 340 kilos bag.

Once the region is framed, I click on '' download '' or download in French.

The card is then downloaded to the phone, and I can access almost all the details without internet.

Because we can not create a route with public transport, on foot, in Uber or by bike.

But we can do one by car.

And as most of the roads used not cars can also be used

by pedestrians and cyclists and well ...

You can even find most of the shops.

But be careful, the map stays in the phone only 30 days,

Unless updated before the end the delay.

I can even rename the map ... for example that one is Montreal.

There are plenty of other options interesting on Google map,

but we will come back to it very soon.

Before I want to talk to you about another very interesting feature to plan a trip

with multiple destinations.

Another application developed by Google.

Yea, I love them Google.

I can not even say they pays me to talk about them, my channel has been demonetized

since February 20 because I have not yet 1000 subscribers.

Don't be shy to to raise the number next to the subscriber button it's

just a little click.

The application I want you to show you, is Google Trips.

Available on Android, and iOS.

Google Trips is an application that tells allows to obtain a lot of information.

I never really used it until now, but I'm sure I'll use it on my next trip.

Without even having to use it, the application has already grouped places

that I visited because I received emails from airline and hotel bookings.

So if I go to see my trip to Bermuda, Google automatically aggregated information

of my flights and gives me the information departure times, boarding docks,

my seats if I reserved them, my number of confirmation and I can go back to see

the airline's email.

I also find the reservation of my room I rent on airb&b.

With dates, address and phone number.

And all in one place.

A little lower, Ah ... My trip to Italy.

There are three cities that are displayed because that I had made hotel reservations online.

We will take Rome for example.

Here, you can see everything there is to do in the city.

Starting with the most popular attractions.

Watch out for tourist traps ... But it's still interesting.

Let's say I want to see Colissé.

I have a description of the place, its position on the map, its opening hours,

the telephone number of the company, the hours of traffic, for each day of the week.

It's really great to avoid queues.

I even have YouTube videos of the place, and comments from people who visited it.

It's really huge.

Well, I want to go, I add a small flag.

What else, suggestions for me according to Google, old Rome stuff, shops

specialized in food, places most popular visited by locals

of Rome and full of other categories.

Let's say I add these random activities

The places I recorded are just here.

Now I want to make a plan for this that I want to visit.

There are already suggestions of tours already prepared, or I can do mine with the points that I saved.

Well ... It's still pushed.

It's not my kind of trip at all.

It's still interesting.

I like that informs me about the stuff to to see before leaving, but I also like

left room for surprise and walk me randomly everywhere and ...

Leave room for surprise.

But I'm sure it will interest more than one.

You can also access information about local gastronomy as well as the best

restaurants in the area.

That's my department!

If you follow me since I started on YouTube, you probably realized that I love food.

And of course, when you eat two main plates...

You can eat two desserts.

Well yes, that's how life works.

There is also a lot of information about transport from the airport.

Train, bus, taxi.

The public transport of the city, the recommendations for driving ...

Or not.

As well as information for pedestrians and cyclist ...

Ah ... That's me!

At the end, download the information from the city in my phone to have there

access from everywhere, without internet connection.

After that, if you go back to Google Map, in the offline section, you will find

all the maps of the regions that you want to visit with Google Trips.

Do not forget to download them.

Nevertheless, you will surely need information from time to time.

For example, I almost never book a hotel.

And if I do, I'll do it a few hours before my arrival.

In fact, usually when I get up in the morning, I do not know where I'm going to sleep at night.

So I need a connection to find it.

I'm looking for the next hotel using from the connection of the previous hotel,

or on the road at the restaurant.

We are in 2018 anyway, there are connections wi-fi everywhere.

If your hotel does not have Wi-Fi ...

Run away.

Yes hello I would like a bed for one night ...

Ah ... what's that ... no wi-fi.

-No sir

If you do not know where to find a connection Wi-Fi, and look for a Mc Donald.

They are at virtually everywhere, and they always have free Wi-Fi.

But it is usually the morning of the hotel that I will look for the information I will need.

If you remember at the last capsule, I told you that Strava trips

could not be downloaded in the phone.

That's why I open my way on my phone before leaving.

If I do not close the page, the information on the map and my trip, will remain displayed.

This is also where I make a list of places where I could go to sleep next night ...

But without reserving.

The hotel reservation is a big one subject to him alone, I'll get back to you

in an upcoming episode.

If it's a train or a bus that you want catch this morning, you can ask from

from the hotel's Wi-Fi to Google map.

Look how well it's made.

He tells you where to go,

at what time the bus will leave,

on which line to board

and in which direction.

The time to get out and switch subway.

In the example here it is a subway line.

If it was a train in a big train station he would go so far as to say

the number of the platform to board.

It indicates the number of stations to pass as well as their name.

Once you've collected all this, you just have to take a screenshot ...

And everything is in your phone.

It's awesome!

Now, if you have files that you judge important to keep with you in your phone,

you can download them in google drive.

Well, what a surprise, another application from Google ...

Everything you put in your Google folder Drive in your computer is also found

in your phone.

If you want to keep them offline, you can enable the option on each file individually.

For example, you can keep a copy of some important documents and if you ever lose it,

and you also lose your phone.

And well at least you can go looking for a copy from an internet connection somewhere.

I would have probably felt a little bit less bad if I had done that when I lost

my portfolio in Japan.

At the moment it may not seem, but I am really happy.

I advanced, I turned, and the pocket in which I put my wallet,

I realized that I had left it open.

And my wallet, was not in it anymore.

I just returned to the last place that I used my wallet, I did not

not found on the first way.

It's on my second tour that ...

I just found it.

When we are far from home like this ...

And that in our wallet we have ...

Our credit card, money, and all important cards, it's pretty freeking.

And then, well ...

Everything is here.

Finally if you want to talk to your friends and give your family news, you can

talk to them from a wi-fi connectio with FaceTime, Google duo, Facebook

Facebook Messenger, Skype, or you can even send them an email.

Or a postcard.

In addition, since you will not have a connection internet everywhere you go, your phone

he will stop disturbing you by sending you full of notifications that go a little

ruin your trip because you will not be enjoying all that is around you.

You see, traveling with your phone in plane, it's not that complicated.

But be careful, connect to the networks Public Wi-Fi in hotels, restaurants and everywhere, it looks good and easy,

but it can be dangerous.

Someone could intercept your conversations, your files, and even the passwords of your most important accounts.

You may also have restricted access to some websites that you really need to visit.

But again, I have a solution for that.

It's a VPN.

But what is a VPN.

This is the subject of next week.

Today I wanted to show you that it's possible during a trip, to avoid

to send astronomical amounts

To telecommunication companies for get service abroad.

Thanks to the applications we talked about today, you will be able to have direct access

to the information you need in your phone without internet connections.

And for the rest, well there is Wi-Fi.

If you have questions or comments, do not hesitate not to write to me in the box just

below the video.

Don't by shy, it's there just for that.

I hope you enjoyed the capsule, if so, you can give me a thumbs up right there

and subscribe to my channel.

Dont miss anything of waht I do, you can also come to visit me directly on my website,

pascalmarquis.com

Thank you for listening to me, and see you next week.

Cya!

BREAKING Feds DROP NUKE On Clintons – This Is It! - Duration: 17:26.

BREAKING: Feds DROP NUKE On Clintons – This Is It!

The Clintons just got some terrible news when a federal judge ordered the unsealing of documents

from then-Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr's two-decade old probe that led to Bill Clinton

being impeached.

Fox News reported that the order was granted on Monday by Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell of

the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in response to a Freedom of Information

Act request from CNN.

Last week, CNN journalist Katelyn Polantz had requested that eight sealed matters arising

from Starr's 1998 investigation of Clinton "be unsealed and made public."

Starr's investigation was launched after the suicide of Clinton adviser Vince Foster

and the Clintons' Whitewater real estate deal in Arkansas.

However, it was later expanded to include accusations of sexual misconduct and perjury,

including Clinton's relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

The request includes testimony from former Clinton aides and advisers Bruce Lindsey,

Sidney Blumenthal, Nancy Hernreich, Lanny Breuer and Terry Lenzner, as well as testimony

from the Secret Service.

It also included a request for other White House documents, in addition to a presidential

subpoena.

CNN's FOIA request suggests the documents could be relevant to procedures for obtaining

testimony in special counsel Robert Mueller's current Russia probe.

Howell wrote that some of the Starr documents "should have been made publicly available."

"Apparently, after issuance of the Starr Report, no specific direction was provided

to the Clerk's Office as to which documents included in the Starr Report were to be disclosed,

and the Clerk's Office rightfully carefully maintains the confidentiality of sealed matters

unless expressly directed to unseal records," Howell said.

What do you think about this?
