Today people of my generation do just about everything with their smart phone.
It is a very practical tool, but we do not do not realize how much all the data

I challenge you to put your phone in airplane mode for 24h.

Every time I go on a trip, I download in my phone several information.
As soon as I leave Canada, I put my phone in airplane mode until my come back.
My first friend on my phone while traveling, it's Google map.
You know it, I like it to know where I am.
If you've listened to the first two episodes, you probably remember that I
presented you two tools be well oriented.
My watch, and Strava.
Well, here's a third one, like that, if you lose yourself, you will not be able to say that

Everyone knows Google map.
This is without a doubt the best map in the world.
But if you put your phone in airplane mode as I asked you at the beginning,
you'll realize quite quickly that without internet, the app does not serve much.
As in the example beside, if I zoom in France...

There's nothing on the map.
The data is not in your phone.
They are always on the internet.
I'll show you an unknown function from most people.
In google map, if you go upstairs to left in the menu and you're watching carefully
the options available, you will see that there is an option called '' offline maps ''
or zones hors connexion if your phone is in French.
What we see right here in the list is sections that have already been downloaded.
We will add one together.
It's not very complicated, everything in the blue box will be downloaded to the phone.
We zoom in on the map to select the region we want to download.
Download size varies by complexity of the file.
For example, if I want to download New York, we see below that it will occupy 340Mo in the phone.
But if I want to download an other place of the same
dimension including St-Tite, Saint-Stanislas-de-Champlain,
St-Pierre-les-Becquets, St. Wenceslas, including even Trois Rivière and Victoriaville, and
well here we took only 40MB.
If you're not too geek and that MB does mean anything to, we can imagine that the Mo are kilos.
that, a bag of 40 Kilos is 8 time and a half lighter than a 340 kilos bag.

But be careful, the map stays in the phone only 30 days,

So if I go to see my trip to Bermuda, Google automatically aggregated information
of my flights and gives me the information departure times, boarding docks,
my seats if I reserved them, my number of confirmation and I can go back to see
the airline's email.
I also find the reservation of my room I rent on airb&b.
With dates, address and phone number.
And all in one place.
A little lower, Ah ... My trip to Italy.
There are three cities that are displayed because that I had made hotel reservations online.
We will take Rome for example.

Starting with the most popular attractions.
