- I told her before the game.
I'm like, "If you guys win gold I am finding a way
to get on that ice." And she's like, "O.K., good luck with that."
So I led the charge on the ice.
I'm Michael Schofield, and I won Super Bowl 50
with the Denver Broncos.
- And I'm Kendall Coyne
and I just won an Olympic gold medal
with Team USA women's ice hockey.
- We're engaged, about to get married in July.
- And we love sports.
- We went to the same high school.
- Lived 10 minutes from each other our whole life
and didn't even know it.
- We actually met working out at a local gym
back in our hometown.
- He didn't have a car.
He asked me if I could drive him home from workout one day.
- On the ride there I'm like, "So what do you do all day?"
- And I said, "Nothing. What do you do?"
He said, "Nothing." I said....
- "Well, do you wanna do nothing together sometime?"
[Laughing.]
After the workout, then we went out to lunch.
- And I ordered a salad.
- I think she ordered a salad or something
'cause she was nervous.
- It's funny to look back on it
because he's like, "You don't eat just a salad."
I'm like, "No, I don't. I was just really nervous."
When they won the AFC championship against the Patriots,
I talked to my teammates and I said, "Guys,
I'd get in the night before our Beanpot championship game.
Is it O.K. if I go to the Super Bowl?"
- I don't even know if she was gonna be able to make it.
- My teammates were ecstatic.
They were asking me, "Can we come?"
I just remember jumping up and down continuously.
They won and the confetti was coming down
and everyone was going crazy.
His parents and I were running down to get on the field.
The second I saw him I just hugged him.
And it's hard to put into words,
and I don't want to get emotional.
But just to see him live out his childhood dream,
and I couldn't be more proud of him.
- Obviously, her Olympics were insane.
- So we won, we were going crazy.
- Everyone was just jumping up and down.
- And we received our medals.
We were all just taking pictures, waving to our families.
And I saw him standing there and he's waving.
- People were yelling, "Just go for the ice! Go on the ice!"
I'm like, "I don't know if I can do that."
I mean, I'm kind of a big guy.
- I see him jump over onto like the ice level.
- Literally right behind me there was like
30 other family members following right behind me.
There's a picture of me picking her up
and holding her up in the air.
And we're both just like, "Yeah!"
- The second he got on the ice I was just ecstatic.
- I knew what it was like to win the Super Bowl,
at like the highest moment.
And I just wanted so bad for her to be able
to experience that.
- He's in the stands every game with my jersey on.
If you talk to him his eyes light up when he talks about me.
And when we got here into New York,
my jersey was in his suitcase.
And I said, "Why'd you bring that?"
And he just is so proud.
And he's the biggest supporter, my best friend.
And I couldn't imagine doing life without him.
- I'm by far her biggest fan, figuratively and literally.
[Light upbeat music playing.]
