Bushes Just Made Major Announcement About Their Family Hours Before Barbara's Burial.
Today is a somber day for the Bush family as they prepare to bury their beloved mother,
grandmother, wife, and former first lady Barbara Bush.
Although she lived to be 92 and enjoyed a long life and was not afraid of dying, it
doesn't make her passing easier for those closest to her.
She will be missed by many in this country.
Now, just hours before she's laid to rest, the family has made a surprising announcement
as an interesting twist to this day.
The Bushes are a very close family and focused on remaining that tight unit created by Barbara
who prioritized these values throughout her life as a mother and grandmother.
However, there's one member of her family who she never had the chance to meet which
her surviving family is celebrating today.
Southern Living explains:
Two days after former First Lady Barbara Bush passed away at her Houston home the age of
92, the Bush family welcomed a sweet baby boy.
On Friday morning, Barbara and George H.W. Bush's fourth child, Neil, shared a photo
of his new grandson on Facebook, revealing that his daughter, Lauren Bush Lauren went
into labor two weeks before her due date.
On Thursday, Lauren gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Max Walker.
Neil, 63, couldn't help but marvel at the timing.
"Maria and I were so blessed to spend lots of time with mom and dad during mom's last
weeks and we are so grateful for the condolences and the outpouring of love expressed towards
her by many, many friends," Neil wrote alongside the announcement.
"Barbara Bush was loved by everyone.
She lived a remarkable life blessing family, friends, and total strangers around the world.
Mom left on her own terms."
"In the final hours she was comfortable, loving, surrounded by family, holding hands
with dad.
Maria and I will always be grateful for being able to say a proper goodbye to our wonderful
mother," he continued.
"And then two days later, yesterday morning, two weeks before her due date, Lauren Bush
Lauren gave birth to a beautiful 7 lb 8 oz baby boy Max Walker Lauren.
The circle of life.
God is good. This sweet addition makes the eight great-grandchild for Barbara.
"Neil Bush, along with former President George H.W. Bush, former President George
W. Bush and former Florida governor Jeb Bush, will be among those in attendance at the private
funeral service for Barbara Bush at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston at 11 a.m.
Saturday," according to Fox 5 New York.
Barbara didn't just love her children and grandchildren, she loved all children in this
country and made literacy her life work as the first lady and after.
This is a bittersweet surprise for the family on this day of burying the matriarch while
