HE DID IT: Trump Just Pardoned Him

Liberals are up in arms after President Donald Trump just pardoned I. Lewis "Scooter"

Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney.

The Daily Caller reported that Libby was convicted of perjury, obstruction of justice, and making

false statements back in 2007.

Trump has been thinking about pardoning Libby for months, as various conservative operatives

and lawyers have been calling on him to do so.

Libby was convicted of lying to the FBI about his role in leaking the name of covert CIA

agent Valerie Plame.

Though he was sentenced to 30 months in prison, President George W. Bush commuted his sentence.

However, the former president refused calls to pardon him.

At the time, Bush said that "neither Mr. Libby nor anyone else has been charged with

violating the Intelligence Identities Protection Act or the Espionage Act, which were the original

subjects of the investigation."

Bush added that the district court rejected advice from the probation office which recommended

a lighter sentence, and said in a statement.

"I respect the jury's verdict.

But I have concluded that the prison sentence given to Mr. Libby is excessive," Bush said,

going on to say that the commutation "leaves in place a harsh punishment for Mr. Libby,"

that "the reputation he gained through his years of public service and professional work

in the legal community is forever damaged," and that "the consequences of his felony

conviction on his former life as a lawyer, public servant, and private citizen will be

long-lasting."

Libby resigned from his White House position in 2005 right after he was indicted.

Should this pardon go through, it would not be the first time Trump has infuriated liberals

with a pardon.

Last summer, Trump caused an uproar when he pardoned Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio

for a criminal contempt of court conviction.

George Soros' Secret Plan To Have Sean Hannity Fired Just Blew Up In His Face

Fox News host Sean Hannity has been in hot water this week when it was confirmed that

he was the mystery third client of Donald Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen.

Liberal billionaire George Soros has been trying to take Hannity down for years, and

he thought this was finally his chance to get rid of him for good.

Unfortunately for Soros, however, his plan just blew up in his face big time.

Mad World News reported that Hannity was revealed to be Cohen's third client in court during

the lawyer's hearing, in which he went before Judge Kimba Wood.

It has since been revealed that Wood has a close relationship with Soros and even officiated

his 2013 wedding to his 42 year-old wife Tamiko Bolton.

This wedding was attended by numerous wealthy liberals, including U2 frontman Bono and House

Minority Leader California Rep. Nancy Pelosi.

Wood also has other ties to Democrats, as she was former President Bill Clinton's

failed nominee for U.S. Attorney General in 1993.

Like Clinton's first nominee Zoe Baird, Wood had hired an illegal alien and failed

to pay taxes on the employee.

Of course, the mainstream media is ignoring the fact that this was a clear attempt for

Wood and her fellow Democrats to finally take Hannity down.

The Fox News host himself, however, is not about to let that happen.

"I tell you why they're going nuts," he said of the liberal media.

"They're assuming – because I guess he did some type of work for some Republican

guy – they're figuring, 'Oh, he must've done a big settlement case for Hannity.'

That's not – no, that's not what happened.

Ever.

Not one of any issue I ever dealt with Michael Cohen on ever — ever — involved a matter

between me and any third party."

Fox News has also stood by Hannity despite the calls to fire him.

"While FOX News was unaware of Sean Hannity's informal relationship with Michael Cohen and

was surprised by the announcement in court yesterday, we have reviewed the matter and

spoken to Sean and he continues to have our full support," the statement said.

HAPPENING NOW: PAUL RYAN NAMES HIS REPLACEMENT

Earlier this week, we reported that Speaker of the House Paul Ryan had announced that

he will not be seeking reelection this year.

Now, Ryan has announced who he is endorsing to take his place as House Speaker.

Fox News reported that Ryan has endorsed House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy to succeed

him as House Speaker, saying "we all think that Kevin is the right person."

"I fully anticipate handing the gavel over to the next speaker of the House after this

term and I think Kevin is the right guy to step up," Ryan stated.

"One of the reasons why I was comfortable making this decision is because we have a

very capable leadership team," Ryan continued.

"I think we'll have a seamless transition."

Ryan announced on Wednesday that he will be leaving Congress to spend more time with his

children.

"If I am here for one more term, my kids will only ever have known me as a weekend

Dad — I just can't let that happen," he said.

Rumors had swirled that either McCarthy or Steve Scalise would take Ryan's place.

However, Ryan said today that he thinks Scalise supported McCarthy as the next speaker.

"Our leadership team, I'm saying," Ryan clarified.

"I'm not saying every single person in Congress."

When asked if Scalise agrees that McCarthy should assume Ryan's role, the curent House

speaker said "that's right."

Ryan had announced his retirement on Twitter.

"Serving as speaker has been a great honor.

Now, with all three of my kids in their teens, I am ready to set new priorities.

I intend to serve my full term as I was elected to do.

But I will be retiring in January, leaving this majority in good hands and with a bright

future," Ryan tweeted.
