USA news on Youtube Mar 21 2018

Hey everyone!

Dana here with a hashtag...um...what did I say I was going to call it today?

Ask Dana Fragen.

With a hashtag Ask Dana Fragen video.

Formerly known as #FragDana, formerly known before that as #AskDana.

Let's see how long I can keep this game up for.

I'm so excited about this series.

So let's jump right into it then.

Himbiii asks: Hey Dana. Hey Himbiii. Do you speak Czech?

Ah, so your question is: Mluvíte česky?

Ah that's one of the only things I know how to say in Czech.

And my answer is...and my answer is: mluvím česky není dobře.

I hope that's right.

It's been a while since I lived in Prague.

When I did live in Prague I did study Czech and I did learn enough to be able to sort

of get around the city.

But now it's been like 8 years since I lived there and my Czech is so bad.

But when Stefan and I went to Prague a few months ago I did really feel the Czech, like, coming

back to me quite quickly.

So nemluvím česky, but I do know a little bit.

Is there actually some reason why you draw this or that on your danke drawings or is

it just random?

So the danke drawings are the little drawings that I have at the end of a lot of the more

recent videos.

And those are to thank our patrons on Patreon.

What I draw for those...yeah, sometimes it's random.

But sometimes I do try to tailor it to the video.

In the video talking about the supermarket I think I had a fish carrying a shopping bag.

But sometimes it's just, I sit down and I just draw something weird.

Whatever comes into my head.

Dana Osgood...I'm guessing that it's "Dana" and not "Dana."

I'm guessing that it's "Dana." Dana Osgood asks: Can you please talk about

catcalling and what walking down the street in German cities, versus American cities is like?

I know catcalling and harassment is a huge problem in the states, in the point of view

of a New Yorker.

Thank you so much.

Growing up in South Florida, I definitely experienced catcalling.

I would say from the time that I was like 14 or 15 when I would go with my friends for

a walk down the street we experienced catcalling and it was definitely something that we noticed

and that we talked about.

But then I moved to Europe, first to Prague and now here in Germany, and after you asked

this question I really thought about it and, yeah, I don't think that I have ever been

catcalled while living in Prague or living here in Munich.

I don't think I've ever been catcalled in Germany.

And I would love to hear from other people, though: how have you experienced it; catcalling

in Germany, the USA or anywhere else around the world?

Yeah, please let me know in the comments.

But in Germany so far I haven't experienced catcalling.

Connie Mack asks: my question is about doing laundry in Germany.

It seems when I've seen images or videos of apartments there, there is a washing machine

only, in the kitchen or even bathroom, and sometimes not even that.

Or do they have building laundromats as in the U.S.?

Do you have to hang your clothes to dry them? Okay, so, yes, we only have a washing machine.

We don't have a dryer.

And in this apartment our washing machine is in the bathroom, but in another apartment

that we had in Germany, our washing machine was not in the apartment.

It was downstairs in the basement.

There was an area there where people could put their washing machine.

It was still our washing machine.

But we could put it down there in this one particular area of the basement of the apartment

building. And, yeah, sometimes it is also in the kitchen.

I've seen that at someone of my friend's houses, at some of my friend's apartments.

And do you hang your clothes to dry them? Yes, we do.

Zoë T asks: why did you change it to Frag?

Very good question Zoë.

Yes, why did I change it to...from Frag Dana...from Ask Dana to Frag Dana.

Um, yeah, I thought maybe it would be cool to have it in German.

And then after I changed it once I was like, hey this would be fun.

Let's see how long I can keep it up, changing it every time.

So yeah, let's see how long I can keep it up. I don't know.

Maybe eventually I'll just pick one.

Vanilla ice cream or chocolate ice cream? That seems like it would be an easy question.

But it's not.

I like vanilla ice cream, unless the chocolate ice cream is really, really good.

Then I like chocolate ice cream.

Keith Duncan asks... Hi Keith! Hi! You've been watching the videos for so long!

I think since the very being, right? I've been seeing your comments. Thank you so much! Hi Keith!

Ah, his question is: Have you been to...

Oh my gosh, I have so much trouble saying the name of this place.

Have you been to...this place -- Berchtesgaden -- yet?

I have not.

I have not, but Stefan... - That is such a lie! - I have been! I have been. I'm sorry. Yeah.

Well, but, Keith goes on to say that we should go into the salt mines, which we have not done.

So I have been to this place that I cannot pronounce, but we did not going into the...

did you just sneeze? Gesundheit.

So: yes, Stefan and I have been to this place that I cannot say.

We did not go into the salt mine, though.

So thank you very much for the tip.

And we haven't been to Bamberg yet.

And I don't know when we're going to go, but thank you so much for the tip.

I will put that on my list of places that we need to go in Germany.

Luca, The Channel asks: What place in Germany is your favorite, and what is a place in Germany

that you haven't gone to that you want to go to?

I don't think I have a favorite place.

Like, I like a lot of the places that I've gone to. I don't think I can pick a favorite. Oh!

What's that town that we went to?

That we stopped at and we made the video for Patreon? - No idea.

I liked that one a lot.

Although I can't remember the name so I guess it's...must not be a favorite. But I really liked it.

Didn't it begin with an L?

But as far as a place in Germany that I haven't been to that I really want to go to, that

would be Trier.

I really, really, really, really want to go to Trier.

Alright! That's it for today. Thank you so much for watching.

I hope that you enjoyed this #AskDanaFragen video.

If you have other questions for me, please leave them down in the comments below with

the hashtag #AskDanaFragen this time.

And yeah...oh!

So my question for you is...oh, I didn't prepare a question.

What are your answers to some of these questions?

I guess that's going to be my question for every one of these videos.

I'm not sure. Please let me know in the comments below. Thanks so much for watching.

Until next time, auf Wiedersehen!

I like that dogs seem to be welcome in a lot of different places.

Like I see dogs sometimes in stores, and it just seems to be quite a dog friendly place,

at least here in Munich.

Yeah, I would say not so much...I don't know.

Arsenal send scouts to watch Olimpia's Paraguayan midfielder Richard Sanchez ● News Now ● #AFC - Duration: 1:44.

Reports in South America claim that the Gunners will watch the 21-year-old in action on Monday

night.

And the Premier League side could be about to launch a move for the defensive midfielder

if he impresses for the Paraguay top-flight leaders against Sol De America.

The uncapped Sanchez is blossoming this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed.

Last week he received his first senior international call-up.

He is now set to make his debut for Paraguay against USA next week.

Following that news, Sanchez said: "It is very nice to be summoned to the national team,

it is the dream of all players."

Sanchez has shone for Olimpia despite the club failing to get past the second round

of the Copa Libertadores this year.

That has sparked Arsenal's interest in the youngster, but they are not the only ones

taking a look at him.

Argentinian giants Boca Juniors enquired about him last month.

But they were told in no uncertain terms that he was "non-transferable" by Olimpia's

president Marco Trovato.

Clubcall report Trovato as saying: "At the moment, he is non-transferable.

"Our minds are focused on the cup and the players who stay are our team."

Mortuary Academy (1988) - Movie Review - Duration: 5:11.

Hello Youtube.

I am Torstein from Cinema Terror and if you are looking for a great hidden gem 80's comedy...

then look somewhere else as I am reviewing Mortuary Academy from 1988.

In Mortuary Academy we meet the two brothers Max and Sam Grimm.

After learning that their uncle has passed away and left his valuable Grimm Mortuary

and Academy in their name, they have to attend and pass a semester in this academy to inherit

the entire business.

Unbeknownst to them, the current head of the academy, played by Paul Bartel, has different

ideas as to who is deserving of the mortuary academy and together with teacher and lover

Mary, they come up with a plan to keep the brothers from achieving their goal and rightfully

inheritance.

In typical goofball 80's way, Mortuary Academy doesn't follow a straight plot narration.

During their time at the academy, the brothers and the other characters get into different

side stories that are supposed to keep us all entertained for nearly 90 minutes.

Which it fails at.

Mortuary Academy is not an entertaining film.

By all means, I am sure that it has some fans out there, but for me all the jokes fell flat.

And you know you are watching a film from a different time when one of the reoccuring

gags revolves around necrophilia.

Not only do they have the head of the academy be a necrophiliac who ends up taking a corpse

on a date night, but when he looses the corpse at the beach they thought it would be a fun

idea to have it be gang raped by four dudes, off screen thankfully.

It's bad taste shock comedy and while I don't have any trouble with that, it just becomes

tasteless when the comedy don't work.

It feels like they just thought up some scenarios that sounded fun while they were sitting around

talking, and probably drinking beer, but didn't bother to take the time to make the jokes

work.

While there is a lot of shit going on in the film, it still feels lazy.

They just throw stuff up on screen and hope you will find some of it funny, which I did

not.

They start out introducing a potential love story between one of the Grimm boys, I can't

remember who is who, and a shy, nerdy girl named Valerie, played by Lynn Danielson.

Instead of letting that potential romance breathe and give some heart to the film, they

go left field as Valerie's dog has been sat on and now the students help out the brilliant

eccentric one to reanimate the dog back to life using robot technology.

Something, something.

Same can also be said about the main brothers Grimm.

They are supposed to be the main focus of the film, but since the narration tend to

go into these side stories, there aren't enough time spent on giving the brothers some conflict,

especially between each other as a story line where they become mad at each other and then

come back together at the end due to them being brothers and all would have fit the

film quite well.

The cast is not bad though.

Most of them seem to be engaged in giving good performances and the characters do become

unique in their own right.

I do wish we had gotten more of the Valerie character as Danielson was quite the beauty.

I just wish they all had gotten some better material to work with.

The brainchild of Mortuary Academy must have been Paul Bartel.

He is both credited as a screenwriter and as mentioned, he plays the head of the academy

and is the star of the cast.

This film is made a few years after he made a name for himself on the 1982 crime comedy

Eating Raoul together with co-star Mary Woronov, who plays the horny teacher in this film.

His character gets way too much screen time in Mortuary Academy and I honestly did not

find him funny at all in this film.

Mortuary Academy is an 80's comedy with warts and all.

While I am sure some will find the goofyness that is going on here to be funny, this film

did not hit at all for me.

I hated the tasteless gags, I could not get into any of the characters due to the lack

of development that they got and just found Mortuary Academy to be a waste of my time.

Sorry if I upset any fans of this film, but my final verdict on Mortuary Academy is that

it is not worth watching.

I am only giving this a poor 1.5 out of 5.

Anyone else out there seen Mortuary Academy?

Did you like it more than I did?

Any 80's comedies hidden gems that you feel more people should check out?

Let me know about it in the comment section below.

If you liked this video and want to hear me talk about something similiar, but better,
