Hey everyone as a small business owner you probably heard about how much the
government buys each year and you've thought to yourself how can I make that
business part of my business? Well, it's a great question and let me show you a
great resource to get started. At the federal level we can use usaspending.gov
to see if and how much the federal government is buying from our particular
industry. Now I wanna give a special shout-out to Rene Cota with CMG Alliance
for her showing me this website as a resource to help clients so let me show
you how to use it. Along the top we can go under Advanced Search and begin to
set up our search criteria let's say this fiscal year and in terms of
location or place of performance let's say here in the United States and the
state of California and more specifically in the County of Los
Angeles and we can scroll down here on the left-hand side under NAICS code we
can enter in a keyword let's say roof for Roofing Contractors and then scroll
down and click Submit and dilly dilly it's that easy now we have
a list of contracts that we can go through and even download to see what
agencies are awarding contracts how much and where's the money going pretty cool
now remember this is just the tip of the iceberg but if you're experienced with
government contracts you know looking to improve we invite you to join us on our
upcoming event winning government contracts March 28th and you can check
out the post description for all the registration info but for now thanks for
watching
