I chose MSU because I wanted something different than everybody wanted
in my home town. They all went to the same university and had the same mind set
and I wanted to see more diversity and expand and try new things.
I really had a passion for math, science and innovation.
And I really wanted to contribute to the world in a way that aligned with my passion.
My specialist, Leslie, advised me to apply for the Samaritan scholarship
and it has helped me immensely.
Before I wasn't able to afford most of the required textbooks for class
or get outside help with tutors.
and now I am able to afford that.
Leslie taught me about self care, and she also taught me about the resources
of having extended time on your exams.
