I started at Michigan state in the fall of 2016.
I knew that I loved psychology...
but I wasn't really sure what field I was going to go into.
Explored a lot of different areas and what I found was
I really, really liked worked with the autism population.
Part of the reason I am so interested in helping people with autism
is being a person on the spectrum myself.
As a child, I was always very passionate about
working with other kids on the spectrum.
I was very fortunate to receive the Decker and Muns scholarship.
I would say that that scholarship was really a lifesaver.
That enabled me to remain on campus another year
to continue to access the support services that I had been getting.
Being an on campus student has really helped
in just the proximity to all these supports.
I definitely want to thank my letter writers.
Lots and lots of thanks to my research adviser for
continually supporting me throughout my disability journey.
