Okay, I know this is a little bit of a different kind of video, but I'm sorry I just have to

get this off my chest. Or, uh, my behind, I guess.

Hey everyone, Dana here!

And today I am ranting about my underwear shopping experience.

I went underwear shopping the other day.

For the first time in Germany.

Oh my God, Dana!

You haven't bought new underwear in 8 years since you moved to Germany?

No, it's just that I always bought it when I went back to the U.S. because I knew exactly

what kind of underwear I liked there.

I had been buying the same kind of underwear for 8 years.

And I could just go into the store, grab the brand and style and size that I liked, and

I was done and out of there in 3 minutes tops.

But then, the last few trips back to the U.S. to my horror I discovered that the store had

stopped selling my kind of underwear.

After all those years, it was just gone.

Not carried anywhere that I could find.

I held out for as long as I could, but finally I was forced to go searching for new underwear

again, and it has been as horrible and exhausting and frustrating as I knew it would be.

Which is why I tried to avoid doing it for as long as I could.

Okay, so what's the big deal here?

Well, when it comes to underwear there are many different kinds.

There are thongs and boyshorts and hipsters and bikinis and briefs and bikini briefs -- which,

by the way, during my Great Underwear Search of 2018, in Germany I saw that a lot of the

underwear was labeled with English names, which at first I was like, hey that's helpful!

But then I noticed there was also a lot of overlap among those last three names: bikinis,

briefs, and bikini-briefs, so I'm not really sure exactly what the difference is between

those ones, at least not really here in Germany, so for the purpose of this video I am just

going to refer to that general kind of underwear as bikini-briefs.

And so if I bought a thong, then of course I wouldn't be surprised if it rides up my butt.

That's what thongs do.

But if I buy anything else -- bikinis, briefs, bikini briefs, hipsters, whatever -- I buy

them because I want something that actually covers the butt. Not rides up it.

So I went to the store with that in mind.

And 97 percent of all the bikini-brief type underwear that I found at the store would not do.

I could already tell just from holding them up, one by one, and looking at them that 97

percent of the bikini-briefs in the store were these horrible kind of imposter bikini-briefs.

They look like bikini-briefs, they're labeled as bikini, brief or something in between,

but they must secretly want to be thongs, I just know it, because just by looking

at them I could tell that I would take two steps in them -- one, two -- and they'd

be doing the thong thing.

In the end I spent 37 euros on 9 pairs of not-supposed-to-be-thongs underwear, brought

them home, washed them, tried them on, and one pair, one single pair did not try to become

a thong.

After an hour and a half of shopping one pair past the not-trying-to-be-a-thong test.

One pair was apparently happy and satisfied with its lot in life, while the other 8 strove

to be something they weren't: a thong.

Which obviously will not do because I need more than one pair of underwear.

So it looks like I will be heading back to store to try again.

Unfortunately, very unfortunately that one single happy to not be a thong underwear that

I found was on sale, which I was really ecstatic about at the time that I bought it, but now

I realize it's kind of unfortunate because I can't just go back to the store and buy

15 more of those.

The search continues.

So yeah. That's my underwear rant. That's basically it. I guess I'll just end it like that.

And I know that in the grand scheme of things this is not really that big of a deal.

Sometimes you just need a little rant about something "unimportant."

have experienced this as well?

Who was indicted along with Trump former campaign manager?

Paul Manafort and gates is expected to plead guilty to charges of fraud

Congressman Devin Nunez turning up the heat on the Obama era officials with his questions on the dossier

But Hans von Spakovsky a former DOJ official told us earlier in the show Congress has a responsibility to get the truth

Welllook Nunez has taken the logical next step we now know that the steel dossier was the basis for the FISA

Application and remember that FISA application is what led a court to approve

Electronic surveillance or spying on the Trump transition team so the next logical step is for Nunez to find out

what officials knew that this was paid for opposition research that had not been verified and when did they know it because

Frankly it's an abuse of the FISA statute to use

opposition research to authorize spying on an American citizen

And welcome back Democrats hopes of winning the house this vault just got a boost the Pennsylvania Supreme Court releasing a new

Congressional district map that could help the party pick up several seats in the battleground state

The president's sounding off on the decision tweeting quote

So what does this mean going forward here to break it all down as Republican strategist Eric Beach?

Thank you for joining us this morning Eric all right, so let's talk about the march to the midterms here

And let's talk about we've seen news over the last couple days about Pennsylvania specifically before we get started

Why should people all across the country care about what's happening there right now. Well if you think about it

Democrats only need 24 seats across the country to retake the house in Pennsylvania

They may have a chance to take two or three seats back because of this redistricting measure

This is a state where Trump won by 44,000 votes

He won 12 of the 18

Congressional districts and now with this decision it may be you know ten eight or even nine nine

Worst-case scenario and as you can see right here the state Supreme Court voted 4 to 3 to impose new boundaries the problem is

You had Tom wolf you had

Republicans he had GOP members who could not come to an agreement on a new map so

Therefore the Supreme Court said we're drawing our own

New that he would take his chances with the courts, so this is what it is currently looking like right now

And this is as you can see right there. Tell us what we're looking at here so right there in the suburbs of Philadelphia

Especially the northern suburbs and you're talking about districts that lean are but now we're going to go into the Democratic column

But you know not always lost for the Republicans

you look at places like Rand caster there might be a flip there as well and

somebody that has to retain that seat as a Democrat so you know I think a lot of people are expecting there could be a

QC pick up here

But for the most part you have Republicans gonna have to get out to vote and make sure they turn on their

Machine so you see what this currently looks like now, let's take a look at the revisions as of May 15th anyway

Tell us the difference well

There's about a 3/4 see difference currently congressional seats went to the Republicans 13 out of 18 now

They're projecting about 10 out of 18 or even worst case scenario 99 and again

You're talking about three or four seats out of 24 across the country that can flip the house to the Democrats

How will this affect or will it affect the special election coming up?

Well absolutely it's not going to affect a special election per se the great irony of

Ciccone and lam is there they're gonna have to go district hunting after this election right they may run in a different district boat

In 2016

We can see right here in Pennsylvania's 18th district

President Trump took this 120 points yeah 20 points and really I mean he took Pennsylvania by less than one point

But now this is a toss-up in this particular district, but again

What's so absurd about this process Julian is that the winner of this may not even run in November for the same seat?

They're going to switch seats interesting and finally here. Let's talk about the special election as we were just mentioning 18th district

How do you see this playing out well?

I think the code is going to win here on march 13th

But then he only has 7 days to turn around and file for a different district

I think what you're gonna see is some win it and then turn over to the 14th district, but even if mr.

Lamb loses he can go and run in the 17th district in November. It's going to be a wild period

And quickly before we let you go. Do you think what's going on right there?

Everything we went through is going to have a significant difference on us

I think it's gonna have a huge impact not just for the state of Pennsylvania, but around the country ok

Most people in the west made a big hullaboo about Birdo being a he, but that's something

not that talked about in Japan.

That probably has something to do with the fact that Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn't really

a thing in Japan until the game – which was actually a re-skin of a totally different

Nintendo-developed game called Doki-Doki Panic – was later released in the country as Super

Mario USA.

Well, that and the fact that the character is called Catherine (Kyasarin) in Japan…

Yeah, it appears that the original Super Mario Bros 2 was too difficult for the unwashed

masses in the West.

Again the stupidity of the West; Birdo, was once thought by many in the US and Europe

to be called Ostro due to being mislabeled in the end credits of Super Mario Bros. 2.

Are you freaking kidding me Nintendo of America?!

In Doki Doki Panic...er....I mean Super Mario Bros. 2 Birdo fires eggs at her enemies, and

is even seen to protect the special crystals Mario and pals are after as if they're her

own offspring.

All in the days work for Birdo, who worked as a lackey serving the evil villain Wart.

Are you serious Birdo being the grunt of some evil frog king?

She also wore a pink bow – the universal sign for "girl" in the old-school cartoon

world since Disney lazily slapped one on Mickey Mouse to create Minnie Mouse– so as far

as anyone out West knew Birdo was clearly female.

Being as lame as ever, Nintendo of America has mostly kept mum on Birdo's gender identity,

which was originally mentioned in obscure promotional materials for Super Mario Bros.

Could this be possibly because at the time the character turned out to be more than just

a throwaway villain with a quirky, one-sentence backstory.

In stark comparison, Nintendo's Japan branch hasn't been as shy about it, but it appears

it's still brought up infrequently enough that most Japanese gamers just assume she's

a girl in the traditional sense.

The relative lack of background on the character has led to some speculation that Nintendo

of America has quietly retconned Birdo into a regular female funnel mouthed dinosaur.

The retcon would make a lot more sense, since laying eggs isn't something male animals

are known for.

But that would leave even bigger questions about Yoshi.

I think the point is moot since Nintendo of Japan still categorized Birdo as a boy.
