WELCOME to another episode of Nerd Grumpy, I am Rodolfo Castrezana and the episode of
today is about the one who the Grumpy wait there are more or less SIX MONTHS:
The series of the month of August.
Although my life is more chaotic than Nutella promotion, now it goes, next
video will already be in the September September series.
AGORAVAI!
Manhunter: Unabomber.
When I was a kid I remember well the mystique around this Unabomber, a madman
American who touched terror in the American government and who hid very well.
This great eight-episode mini-series from Discovery Channel tells how the FBI captured
the subject after almost two decades.
Balanced, well directed, good performances and with a rhythm that keeps the suspense and safe
the spectator all the time.
If you have not seen it yet, see.
The Sinner.
Another miniseries, now from the USA Network, about a woman who has an attack and kills
a guy on a beach, during the day in the middle of hundreds of people.
It has a plot is interesting, little predictable, which is good, it gets even better in the hands
of the good cast, with excellent interpretations.
It's that kind of series that if you catch on the start you do not stop until you finish watching
all.
Another worth seeing.
The Guest Book.
There had been so many episodes with independent episodes in the air, such as Black
Mirror, Room 104 and Dimension 404, for example.
The Guest Book also works that way.
It's a comedy of dark humor that goes around a cottage, of those people
rented to spend a weekend, and each episode is a different story.
Not as interesting as it seems to be, but has already won a second season.
What Would Diplo Do?
Diplo is a seemingly very influential DJ on the scene of American electronic music
whose name I had never heard of, and though it exists in the real world in the series, is interpreted
by James Van Der Beek, Dawson's Creek Dawson.
Van Der Beek is still the screenwriter and showrunner of the series.
If you get curious and decide to watch, you're sure to see a product well out of the
little house
But nothing more.
Comrade Detective.
When I started watching this series Romanian and I realized it was dubbed in English, I stopped
and went to look for the original version, spoken in Romanian.
Except that this version does not exist.
Comrade Detective is an American series filmed in Romania with actors
Romanians dubbed by Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
It's nothing more than a parody of a police detective series that takes place in the 80's in Romania
to make fun of the communist propaganda of the time.
In the end it's a smart series and that works like an interesting satire,
and if you have the same craze as me to explore different content, take a look.
Just do not forget it is dubbed.
Mr. Mercedes.
Stephen King seems omnipresent.
Every year has a lot of productions with his signature.
Last year had the series The Fog, the film, The Black Thing, IT, The Thing, and also this one
police series with 10 episodes.
In 2009 a guy with a clown mask in a Mercedes runs over a group of people
who was in a job queue, in a icy dawn, in an American city.
Two years later a policeman already retired still can not get the case out of his head.
Mr. Mercedes is not bad, he has good dialogues and good performances.
The problem is that it has the tiring format Netflix: after four episodes wrapping
it seems the story has not even begun.
Already won a second season.
Atypical.
The idea of a series with a character within the spectrum of autism is quite interesting
and the plot can be curious, cute and emotional.
Sam is an 18-year-old autistic boy in search of love, self-knowledge and independence.
But the series does not just focus on it, it also shows how parents deal with it.
It's a cute series, easy to watch quickie, you can see everything
in the end.
Atypical has already been renewed for a second season.
Quacks.
An English medical comedy born of black humor with six episodes and with a look
about how medicine treated people in the nineteenth century.
The main characters are an anxious alienist (psychiatrist), a specialist surgeon
in amputating people and a dentist addicted to drugs.
A kind of The Knick coarser, but with some taken until interesting.
But I can not say it's a show for everyone.
The Other Guy.
Australian comedy in six episodes about a successful radio host who stays single after
to find out that your girlfriend has a case with your best friend.
I made a huge effort to watch the series, I could not find anywhere, I installed
a VPN on the computer, I changed the IP to Australia, I signed the first free month of the service
of streaming Stan, who is the Australian Netflix, until he can watch the series.
Unfortunately it was not worth it, it's a comedy about the human condition only
without the slightest charm or originality.
Run away.
Marlon.
A loving father is committed to helping his ex-wife raise their children.
The problem is that he is more childlike than the children.
This is the typical example of a comedy series that should have ceased to exist at the end
of the '90s but that it continues to be there to still have its audience.
But it's bad, unnecessary nonsense.
To prove he has an audience, he has already secured the second season.
Marvel's The Defenders.
Daredevil Joins Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist to Fight Together
the crime in New York City.
For you to see how this video is late, it's been six months since I made a video with content
of The Defenders.
So if you have not yet seen, click on the link, go to the exclusive video of
Defenders and watch.
The State.
An English miniseries accompanying four people who decide to leave England and
to join the Islamic State in Syria.
A young man follows in the footsteps of his older brother, who died for the cause, a single mother physician
with good intentions and his nine-year-old son, and a young girl who believes
religious duty after seeing ISIS propaganda on the internet.
There were people saying that the series is flawless, people have been saying that she is dishonest, or
superficial, the move is that no one passes unharmed to the central, brutal and
respectable performances by unknown actors.
Take a look.
The Tick.
A character created to be a newspaper mascot in 1986 suddenly became popular,
won an animation in 1994, then a live action series in 2001, and fifteen years
then gets a new version on Amazon Prime.
The Tick, or The Tick, is a superhero who ran away from a sanitarium and won the world.
In this new version our hero seems to have lost his memory, and he joins Arthur
to save the city from Terror.
This new nonsense does not have the charm of the original series, but you can even watch it
of better things to do.
Already guaranteed a second season.
Disjointed.
Ruth is a lady who lived in the 60's and seems not to have left them, and with legalization
of marijuana in the United States opens a store to sell cannabis with his son and several
other characters who should be funny but they are not.
Like I said before, just like Marlon, Disjointed is the typical comedy that should have left
to have existed for more than a decade but insists on staying in the air.
I could not laugh with any of the jokes.
None.
Strike: The Cuckoo's Calling.
A young model fell off the roof of an apartment in London and now her body
is stretched out in the snow.
Had she jumped?
Or was it pushed?
This looks like a job for Cormoran Strike!
Strike is a dirty detective, disheveled, more stranger than a normal person, looks like
a comic book character.
Written by JK Rowling, yes, that of Harry Potter, The Cuckoo's Calling strives to
to be different without losing the characteristics of police serial and the best, it does not happen
in the magical universe of Harry Potter.
I still do not know if it's worth watching.
Lost in Oz.
An animation about Dorothy, a 12-year-old girl from Kansas who along with her little dog
Geek will stop at the Emerald City and now needs to get back home.
Yes, it's another version of The Wizard of Oz - I think the book fell into the public domain,
just can
I found it very weak, not even worth taking a look with your children.
Trust Me.
Cath is an English nurse decides to tell the press the hardships that passes in a
hospital and is fired for it.
Desperate, Cath steals the identity of a doctor who was moving to
New Zealand to continue to work under a new identity and thus achieve
take care of your daughter.
It may seem like the same old nonsense, but it can be more interesting than I
imagined
If you're a fan of medical series, there's one that deserves your attention.
Already renewed for a second season.
Two curiosities: The first is that the series is not written by a regular screenwriter and
by a real doctor, and the second is that leading actressJodie Whittaker is
the new Doctor Who.
Under pressure.
Another medical drama, produced by Globo, which shows the daily life of professionals in
in a hospital with no resources.
There's no big surprise in the series' plot, loaded with personal dramas and
basically the same clichés of the series
gringas
But it is a good national production and it is interesting to watch a product with our reality.
The production escapes somewhat from the Globo standard of novels, and has already won a second season.
Get Shorty.
And I left the best for last.
A mafia killer working in the Las Vegas region needs to do a job in
Hollywood, and after killing a writer if he sees the script of a movie in his hands.
Tired of the murderous life he decides to produce the film, and for that he needs to go after
people who know how to make movies.
And it's at this point that black comedy begins to happen.
One of the best debut of 2017 that few people have seen since it is one of those series that
is available on Netflix.
It is based on a novel by Elmore Leonard, which had turned into a movie in the 1990s.
Elmore Leonard was a writer with such cool texts, so much so that Jackie Brown is the only one
Tarantino's only movie that does not have an original Tarantino story
is from Elmore Leonard.
I liked it a lot, if you have the chance, see.
The second season is already guaranteed.
WHAT'S THE BEST NEW 2017 SERIES?
