USA news on Youtube Dec 22 2017

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News - I'm Oli The Elf, what's your favourite

colour?

If you answered 'Death and Destruction' because you're name's Braun Strowman - then

that's totally fine.

Death and Destruction is definitely a colour.

Braun Strowman Is The Elf Among Men In a rich Christmas tradition that includes

Sexy Santa Braun Strowman and, of course, Wonder Braun, we now have a new festive Braun

char-how'd the hell did this get on m- We now have a new festive Braun character,

the Elf Among Men.

WWE have uploaded a parody of Will Ferrell's Christmas film Elf to their YouTube channel,

where Strowman buries the Cruiserweight division by calling Drew Gulak an elf and then seemingly

murders him, skips in front of traffic and then seemingly murders a driver, and then

plays with a Jack in the Box, and seemingly murders that too.

And apparently kayfabe isn't the only thing that's been scrapped in WWE.

As it seems a long reported WrestleMania match might be off.

WrestleMania 34 Match Scrapped?

WWE started teasing an MMA Four Horsewomen of Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir

and Shayna Baszler vs WWE Four Horsewomen of Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky

Lynch match back at the Summer's Mae Young Classic.

The reported plan was to stage the 8-woman tag at WrestleMania 34, and the various components

appeared to be slotting into place - with Baszler debuting on NXT, Duke and Shafir undergoing

wrestling training and Rousey supposedly being very close to signing with WWE.

This week's announcement of the first ever women's Royal Rumble in January seemingly

laid the groundwork for this MMA faction to debut - a multi-person gimmick match being

the perfect way to protect their still developing in-ring skills.

But the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Duke and Shafir have recently

stopped their wrestling training, implying the WrestleMania horsewomen match has been

scrapped.

This could be in favour of a Ronda Rousey singles match at WWE's biggest show of the

year instead.

Women's Royal Rumble Sasha Banks has confirmed to USA Today that

Stephanie McMahon's Royal Rumble announcement on this week's Raw was indeed a shoot - with

none of the women's division in the ring with her knowing what she was going to say:

"Yeah they didn't tell us, they just said that Stephanie would be coming out."

Meanwhile, after Wrestling News World's report that the women's Rumble match will

have 20 entrants, and Dirty Sheets claiming it'll have 30, we now have PWInsider with

a new number, who wrote: "the initial pitch for the match back in November was for there

to be 15 women in the match."

But they do note it's now expected to be more, given how strong WWE is pushing the

match.

Randy Orton Taking Time Off PWInsider are also reporting that Randy Orton

is currently scheduled to take the months of February and March off, after working a

light schedule in January.

After the Royal Rumble, Orton is only advertised for the 6th February Smackdown Live taping,

and then for no TV or live events until after WrestleMania on the 9th April.

He's also not advertised for WWE's tour of Europe in May.
