USA vs North Korea: This is the US military arsenal poised to WIPE OUT Kim's threat

The US President has travelled to the region for a 12-day tour and is expected to be high on his agenda for meetings with South Koreas Moon Jae-in, Chinas Xi Jinping, Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe and Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Trump vowed to totally destroy North Korea if it poses a threat to the US or its allies in a speech to the UN in September, to which the North Korean leader branded Trump mentally deranged while his foreign minister remarked that Pyongyang could consider a hydrogen bomb test of an unprecedented scale on the Pacific Ocean.

's UN ambassador Nikki Haley and the President himself have said "the time for talk is over", despite China, Russia, and other members of the US administration claiming dialogue remains the main aim.

The US military has a huge presence in the area around North Korea, particularly in Japan and increasingly close allies South Korea.

There are almost 40,000 US troops serving in Japan, more than in any other country, and earlier this year the US Air Force lined up a huge array of helicopters, tactical fighter jets and surveillance aircraft in a show of force aimed to intimidate Kim Jong-un.

Among the aircraft were HH-60 Pave Hawks, a twin-turboshaft helicopter primarily used for the insertion and rescue of special operation personnel.  The aircraft's versatility makes it incredibly useful in other operations too, including civilian rescue and disaster relief.

The F-15 Eagles, America's twin-engine, all-weather tactile fighter jets, are also stationed in the region and are among the most successful modern fighters, with over 100 victories and no losses in aerial combat.

Also headquartered in Japan is the Seventh Fleet, the largest of the US navy's deployed sea forces.

The flagship carrier is the USS Ronald Reagan, a nuclear-powered aircraft supercarrier that forms part of "the most effective and agile fighting force in the world".   .

Also in the fleet are up to 14 destroyers and cruisers at any given time, some armed with ballistic missile interceptors.

A collection of long-range Tomahawk land missiles, which made headlines earlier this year when President Trump fired 59 of them at an airbase in Syria, joins the arsenal.

As if that wasn't enough, there are also 12 nuclear-powered submarines available should war break out.

South of the demilitarised zone (DMZ), the US has 23,468 troops at 83 different sites as well as hundreds of tanks and armoured vehicles, meaning there is always a heavy military presence should North Korea decide to launch a land attack.

There is also the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) system, which, despite criticism from Beijing and Pyongyang, is ready and waiting to intercept missiles and destroy the incoming projectiles while in mid-flight.

Guam, the US territory that Kim Jong-un has threatened to fire four ballistic missiles towards, is also host to a huge military presence.  Much of the island is controlled by the armed forces and the Andersen air base hosts a range of bombers, resulting in Guam being dubbed a "permanent aircraft carrier".

Among the aircraft at the base are B-1B bombers, B-52 bombers and F-35B stealth fighters, some of the US Air Force's most impressive jets.

The B-1B bomber is heralded for its survivability and although initially designed to carry nuclear arms, it was converted to carry more conventional weaponry after the Cold War.

The US is believed to have at least six B-1B bombers stationed in Guam and is best suited to a 'medium threat environment', rather than a heavily defended airspace.

Speaking about plans for a possible preemptive strike on North Korea earlier this month, retired Admiral James Stavridis told NBC News: "The B-1b has also been selected because it has the added benefit of not being able to carry nuclear weapons.  "Military planners think that will signal China, Russia, and Pyongyang that the US is not trying to escalate an already bad situation any further. The B-52 was first introduced in 1955 and was originally designed to carry nuclear weapons during the Cold War.

It remains one of the most superior aircraft in the US Air Force.  The long-range, subsonic, jet-powered strategic bomber is capable of carrying more than 30 tons of weapons.

The aircraft's fearsome appearance and reputation has resulted in the nickname BUFF, which stands for Big Ugly Fat F*****. The US also maintains a smaller presence in other countries in the region, including Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines.

US military aircraft use Thai runways while the US Navy will operate four warships out of Singapore by next year.

Tensions have been stepped across the region over recent days following North Korea firing a test missile over Japan. The provocative action saw South Korea and US forces drop bombs on the border of the hermit state.

Earlier today France warned the situation was extremely serious. Foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian warned a nuclear strike on Europe was possible and said a world war could erupt in months.

He said: The situation is extremely serious. we see North Korea setting itself as an objective to have, tomorrow or the day after, missiles that can transport nuclear weapons. In a few months that will be a reality..

Trump Shakes Emperor's Hand And Everyone Noticed 1 Huge Thing That Happened – Look Close! MK Today - Duration: 5:50.

Trump Shakes Emperor's Hand And Everyone Immediately Noticed 1 Huge Thing That Happened

– Look Close!

There has been no end to the comparisons between President Trump and former President Obama.

For the most part, Democrats tend to love and support their DNC anointed President,

Obama, and Republicans back their choice in President Trump.

The news media has been a huge part of the perception of both of these men and in many

ways shaped how the public sees their careers.

Even though the media fawns all over the Obamas and in turn makes President Trump's every

move sound like it's going to end the world as we know it, a picture is still worth a

thousand words.

And between pictures and the constant updates from the President's own social media, we

can usually sort out what is the truth, and what is media bias.

This is especially important when it comes to the weightier issues, like the President's

ability to deal with foreign diplomacy.

The former Commander-in-Chief, Barry Obama seemed all too happy to yield an unending

respect and deference to any and all leaders of other countries, whether they be friend

or foe.

President Trump, however, doesn't feel the same way.

He ascribes to the notion that as the leader of the United States, he can be respectful,

but still not acquiesce to the leaders of other countries.

The Daily Mail reports about the huge difference between when President Trump and former President

Obama met the Emperor of Japan.

"President Donald Trump met with Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko on Monday,

sharing a brief handshake eight years after his predecessor became a global laughingstock

by bowing deeply before the monarch.

Visiting with the emperor and empress is routine for heads of state visiting Tokyo, and Trump

did his part a few hours before a joint press conference with Prime Minster Shinzo Abe,

who wields more power than the aging figurehead.

Trump nodded his head slightly but did not bend at the waist.

An administration official traveling with Trump on his Far East tour told DailyMail.com

that bowing is 'not his style – never has been."

It might not be President Trump's style, but it is some people's.

Obama was essentially a laughing stock when he met the same Emperor back in 2009, shortly

after he was sworn into office.

Obama went way over the top by bowing low before the emperor of another country, making

Americans the world over feel shame that he was the one to represent us.

"In 2009 when the 6-foot, 2-inch Barack Obama visited Tokyo's Imperial Palace, he

made a grand gesture by bowing at the waist to the 5-foot, 5-inch Akihito.

It wasn't the first time Obama was caught up in a bowing scandal: Seven months earlier,

he appeared to bow to the king of Saudi Arabia during a G20 Summit in London.

Akihito assumed his title in 1989 following the death of his father Hirohito, who had

presided over Japan's military alliance with Nazi Germany.

Hirohito green-lighted the bombing of the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, killing more

than 2,000 and leading to America's entry into World War II."

DEEP BOW: Trump's predecessor Barack Obama earned plaudits in Tokyo but caught no end

of grief in the U.S. for bowing deeply before the emperor in November 2009 at the same spot.

And while one might assume that the former President was just misinformed as to the proper

etiquette of the country that he was visiting, his actions weren't an isolated incident.

Obama seemed to make a habit of bowing before the leaders of any country, including Saudi

Arabia.

This is an especially insulting trend when it comes to bowing before those whose countries

we consider to be far from our allies.

Former President Obama seemed to be completely out of touch with the level of dignity that

the American people required from our President.

Thankfully, we don't have that problem in this President or his wife.

"American first lady Melania Trump also towered over Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko

as they met on President Trump's second day in Japan.

Trump visited Pearl Harbor before flying to Japan, paying his respects at the memorial

to the USS Arizona, where more than 1,100 U.S. sailors and Marines were killed in the

1941 Japanese sneak attack.

Akihito has said he will abdicate the Chrysanthemum throne in 2018 when he turns 85.

Crown Prince Naruhito, 57, will become emperor at that point.

Japan claims its monarchy can be traced back 2,000 years, all the way to the legendary

sun goddess Amaterasu."

President Trump is in Japan to deal with a number of issues that we face, along with

our ally, and that entails working with both the Prime Minister and the Emperor.

Much like many countries, Japan has an elected head and a figurehead:

"Abe and Akihito are at opposite ends of the political spectrum, with the prime minister

being far more conservative and willing to antagonize its North Korean neighbor with

economic sanctions as Kim Jong-un rattles his nuclear sabers.

Japan's constitution has forbidden it to have a standing army since 1949, but in reality,

its Self Defense Forces fulfill that role.

The increasingly frail emperor is seen as a liberal who opposes any return to the militaristic

ways that characterized his nation a century ago."

While the idea of bowing before the leader of another country might not seem like such

a big deal to some, it really is a huge deal to others.

When we consider that those who left Europe did so in order that they could have the freedom

to bow to no one and that the American revolution rang out with chants like "no king but King

Jesus" it's particularly insulting that the leader of this great nation would bow

to anyone.

Thankfully President Trump doesn't care to bow to a King or Emperor or anyone else.

We can depend on him to carry America's good name to other countries with all the

strength and dignity that our history requires.

What do you think about this?
