USA news on Youtube Nov 13 2017

As the world knows the united states since our election on November 8 has been

moving ahead

Really brilliantly, I think he's giving Putin that pass and I think it demonstrates to mr.. Putin that

Donald Trump could be played what the President believes is what's most important here. He believes the assessment of the intelligence community

He wants to deal with President Putin and other world leaders ideas for two weeks right now Martha

On major issues are Republicans in the house know that it is time to deliver

On this economy and grow these paychecks by getting rid of this this current tax code

That's exactly what we're going to do over 50 people dead and hundreds more injured after a powerful earthquake strikes the Middle East Sunday

Good morning to you, you're watching Fox and Friends first on this Monday morning. Hopefully all of you had a great weekend

I certainly didn't it's great to be back with you after a week off

Let's get right to our top story right now though that has been breaking overnight a controversial

face-to-face meeting between President Trump and Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte

During the algae on summit kevin cork is traveling with president

And he joins us now live from Manila in the Philippines with more good morning Kevin beautiful shot there

Hey, good morning my for in that great

It's such a terrific way to come to you from the beautiful

Philippines here in Manila a lot of praise and a lot of promise for more cooperation

From President Trump as he wraps up his first bilateral with the leader here of the Philippines part of a very active day

Here at ASEAN as you pointed out the president wrapping up a 13 day

Five country tour here in Asia. Just talking a great deal about trade and security cooperation and

regional trade in particular some very important notes indeed

Let me share some pictures as we have them and there's been plenty of them of course the president here

Taking part in an event that brings leaders from all over the world part of the

Association of Southeast Asian Nations mr

Trump of course taking his Philippine counterpart for the generous, and I should dare say warm hospitality here

And of course friendship the two leaders breaking away a bid for bilateral conversations that centered on trade

Including not just regional trade

But also regional security and the fight against Isis case you're wondering about human rights that came up very briefly as part of the discussion

About Isis one of several one-on-ones with leaders from throughout the region

We've had many meetings we're having another one right now

primarily focused on 'pray

North Korea other subject

But we're very far along the dialogue has been very good

I think for all countries, and we look forward to the continuation of that dialogue

Now look I'd be remiss if I didn't share just a bit of the unexpected levity that

Happened during the family photo hate you see this if you're online this morning

You probably did the crossed hands picture well

It didn't exactly go how they drew it up, but the leaders including President Trump played along just a bit

You know I would help them out here Heather once a bro

You got to get a lot closer together if you're gonna have the cross hands work with a really far apart

What are you gonna? Do I should add this have you ever been to a wedding

You probably know how this goes let me just add this at this hour meeting with Prime Minister Modi of India

And then later on there's a dinner tonight with the the leader of Australia Malcolm

Turnbull if you know how that relationships been going with the president and not so much we'll see how dinner goes tonight

But for now back to you my friend. Yeah, depending on who's been listening in to phone conversations between the two

Thank you so much Kevin appreciate you joining us

Well the White House meantime is firing back over claims that the president is being played by Vladimir Putin

This is another controversy this is former CIA director, John Brennan

Expressed his worries about President Trump's recent conversations with Russia's President. I

Think mr.. Putin is very clever in terms of playing to

Mr.. Trump's

Interest in being flattered. I think mr.. Trump is for whatever reason either intimidated by mr.. Putin afraid of what he could do

What do you think about that well minutes later White House Treasury secretary Steve minuchin hitting back on those comments

Well in all due respect to your previous guests

I think that those were the most ridiculous statements President Trump is not getting played by anybody

And then you had President Trump tweeting over the weekend this when will all the haters and fools out there realize

That having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing not a bad thing

They're always playing politics bad for our country. I want to solve, North Korea, Syria Ukraine

terrorism and Russia can greatly help

Well in the wake of the comments by the former spy chief White House adviser Kellyanne

Conway as slamming claims that the president is taking Putin's side over u.s.. Intel officials listen

What the President believes is what's most important here he believes the assessment of the intelligence

Communities, and he stands by that he's very respectful of that director Pompey of the CIA said the same thing and so this president has

Formed his judgment about that issue based on the intelligence communities in this country

He wants to deal with President Putin and other world leaders as he is for two weeks right now Martha on

major issues like global security on trade perhaps on

in other countries on

combating Isis on a nuclearized North Korea most Americans watching this show and everywhere

In this country right now appreciate having a strong leader who's willing to take?

His counsel

from the internet along with the international community and

Put the case right to North Korea and say to Putin and stated she and say to Abby and say to others men moon

Join with us in making sure the new nuclearized, North Korea

How about another Fox News Alert for you this morning more than 300 people are dead after a monster earthquake rocks the

Iran-iraq border at the 7.3. Magnitude quake hitting just north of Baghdad

Injuring hundreds more sending people running for their lives as buildings swayed look at this video. This is from a Turkish TV news station

Showing a guest shaking in his seat during an interview before then rushing off set and then the quake

It was felt as far out as the western Mediterranean coast about fifty aftershocks were felt hours later

The nation's largest shopping mall turned into a crime scene just feet from where children were visiting with

Santa if you can believe it police say that a botched robbery at a Macy's dressing room inside Mall of America

Turned into this stabbing spree when the suspect was confronted by other shoppers, two people were stabbed but will be okay

We're told thankfully a customer's holding the man down until police arrested him all of this unfolding

Next door from where dozens of children were getting their photos taken with Santa Claus

Well the final witness in the Kate Steinle murder trial is expected to take the stand today illegal immigrant Juan Francisco Lopez

Sanchez who was already deported five times you'll remember we reported that admits to shooting Steinle

but claims that the gun went off accidentally the 30 Tirol was killed in 2015 while walking on a pier in San Francisco and

Inspired Kate's law which cracks down on illegal immigrant criminals of closing arguments in the trial are expected next week

And here's some sad news for this morning legendary gossip columnist Lidz Smith has passed away

Her agent says that she died in her New York home of natural causes a Smith's column

Titled Liz Smith was one of the most widely read in the world for more than 25 years

it helped usher in the era of

celebrity journalism along with some big scoops including Donald and Ivana Trump's divorce and

Madonna's pregnancy of the celebrities that she covered paying tribute to her this morning James Wood tweeting this

little Smith was the definition of a lady

She dished but always found a way to make it entertaining and fun and then Rob Lowe writing this loved Liz Smith smart and funny

gossip from the high road Liz Smith was 94 years old

And she will be missed

well just hours from now the NFL will negotiate get this the 50 million dollar contract extension of

Commissioner Roger Goodell

But at least one owner says not so fast after Goodell his handling of the national anthem protests among some other things

Caroline Shelley joining us now from Washington DC with some more Caroline 50 million dollars

It's a big contract not bad right not bad if the NFL approves it this would be a 60 percent pay increase for Roger Goodell

plus some other goodies

Here's the breakdown the contract would reportedly raise his salary from 30 million to 49 point five million dollars a year

It would also provide him private jet use for life and lifetime health insurance for his family. That's all according to ESPN all

32 NFL owners voted in May to extend Goodell z' contract and to authorize the compensation committee to negotiate on their behalf

But it's not a done deal in fact Dallas Cowboys owner

Jerry Jones is threatening to sue the NFL if they okay Adele's contract without further approval from owners the

Negotiations come at an awkward time for Goodell since players have been kneeling during the national anthem

protesting police brutality and racial inequality

Last month Goodell said that we want our players to stand but stopped short of imposing a rule requiring it

Only a handful of players protested before yesterday's early games as the league celebrated Veterans Day weekend

Those kneeling included 49ers Eric Reed one of the first players to join the movement last year and wide receiver Marcus Goodwin

Giants defensive end, Olivier Vernon also knelt during the anthem yesterday. Here's what one member of the American Legion has to say about that

We fought for the right. You know kind of pledged allegiance and for the flag, but again you also fought for the First Amendment

Which gives you the right to do that, but we just feel like the NFL's taking her to five

veterans in Illinois also reacting to the kneelers yesterday with the chairman of the veterans Advisory Council hosting an NFL Jersey burning ceremony

Heather back to you man. Did you say 60% increase in his salary yes bad?

No, not at all way more than cost-of-living raise Caroline Charlie. Thank you for joining us appreciate any boats. Have a great day

Well the time now is about 11 minutes after the top of the hour and president Trump meeting with world leaders

overseas for more than a week talking trade delivering a stern warning to North Korea amongst some other things and a

Former US Brigadier General Anthony Tata joins us live up next to analyze the message that he sent to America's friends and enemies

Plus did Amazon just ruined Christmas

At Amazon ha we've got toys and games by the sack love this Christmas with free delivery on millions of eligible items oh

No the ad that has parents fired up this morning

just came back here and set up a shop with his wife and

Lost her and then Harvey came in and took everything else away from him

After everything he's been through we're not gonna let you go out like that and

lone survivor marcus luttrell

Honoring a World War two veteran by helping him rebuild his home after hurricane Harvey

Genestein witnessed all of it, and she is here live to tell us all about it

Welcome back to Fox and Friends first at first they're offered sanctuary and now

Illegal immigrants are getting free legal help in nearly a dozen US cities at the Vera Institute of Justice

Launching their safe and fairness for everyone

campaign by paying legal bills for detained illegal immigrants facing deportation

by ice of the group choosing eleven cities including, Atlanta, Chicago and Baltimore

Which they deemed to be quote politically economically and ethnically diverse?

Well the push to legalize marijuana nationwide is picking up some steam against Attorney General Jeff Sessions a twelve-year-old

Colorado girl is joining a lawsuit claiming that she cannot move back to Texas because medical marijuana is not legal

There which she uses she says to treat for seizures. I'll see it sessions has been outspoken against marijuana

you'll know that currently twenty-nine states in Washington DC have legalized miracle or medical marijuana and

then back to this story President Trump ending his two-week Asian tour in the Philippines his historic trip focusing on US trade and

talking tough on North Korea

There are many things we face

But we will be facing them together

In friendship and as allies the regime has interpreted

America's past restraint as

Weakness this would be a fatal

Miscalculation we are not going to let the United States be taken advantage of anymore

Well here to discuss the message the president sent to the rest of the world former Brigadier General and author of besieged

Anthony Tata, thank you so much for joining us Redbeard definitely appreciate you joining us in person we have not spoken in person yet

So nice to meet you great to meet you um so overall you think that his trip was a success

I think it's been a huge success

from reassuring our allies to

being on the ground in the Republic of Korea and

Messaging to North Korea that there's a line in the sand and don't cross that line

And then the negotiations with all of our allies in that region

Particularly getting into his trade policies and so forth that he wants to put forth with China

Better access to markets a better exchange rates and so forth and then even getting down to fighting Isis in the Philippines

So I think he's covered a lot of topics. It's been a very aggressive ambitious schedule

Aggressive and ambitious interesting that you use those words because it was kind of a different feel that from the previous administration well

There's been a huge lack of leadership

During the Obama administration that it's no secret that President Obama believe that a weaker America made for a stronger world

He did everything he could to lessen American influence lessen American presence that

Lessening of influence and presence has led to power and leader vacuums

and so

All these other nations say what we're going to step in where there's a hole and that's what?

President Trump was handed when he took over yeah and going back to some of the trade policies with China

We were just discussing here

That was the first one of the first things that the president talked about when he announced his candidacy

If not the very first thing that that's right

And he's always viewed correctly that access to their markets is very very challenging for US companies

And I think that's part of the announcement that he's getting ready to make here

Yeah, the next day or two 280 billion dollars in deals announced with China

This is according to the Commerce Department and we can bring that up. That's one of the things taking place, but finally

let's go to North Korea a

Important topic people say he has or has not handled it correctly

I think he has you know so you have to look at it Heather through a diplomatic informational military and economic lens so

Diplomatically, we've got the two, UN Security Council votes. He's reassured the allies diplomatically he's there on the ground

Militarily we're doing shows of force we have three Carrier Strike groups in the Sea of Japan they're off the Korean, Peninsula

That's very rare for that to happen usually when we have two we're getting ready to go to war

Yeah

So that tells you something going on there economically the sanctions have tightened the screws on, North Korea

Russia's cheating a little bit in the north and and allowing for a little bit of flow of of

goods and supplies into North Korea, right

But you know informational II that's what everybody gets a little freaked out about and so when the president

Tweets or whatever the information war that is going on this part of this overall

effort to squeeze, North Korea

And it's it's behind the scenes things happen the president's saying directly to the North Korean leader look

Do you think you're crazy?

We we are ready to go if you if you want to draw this if you want to pull us into this thing if you

Want to if you want to fight, we're ready to fight. Yeah, what's that comment about blinking won't blink?

Okay, thank you so much for joining us we're out of time

But we'll have you back because we have a lot more to talk about thank you

Well the time now is about 20 minutes up to the top of the hour and possession of a pipe bomb

what was an air traffic controller doing with a weapon of mass destruction of the charges playing out in court this morning and

country music superstar Carrie Underwood rushed to the hospital after falling

outside of her Nashville home Carly Shimkus here with some new information on her condition up next

Well anthem outrage boiling over at least three players taking a knee as the league honors America's real

heroes during Veterans Day weekend Carly Shimkus with Fox news headlines 24/7 Sirius XM

115 is here with the social media backlash good morning. Good morning, and that's right Heather the NFL

Honored veterans day with a two-minute moment of silence before games teams also wore camouflage gear and invited soldiers to run out onto the field

alongside players

but two players from the San Francisco 49ers and one on the New York Giants did in fact kneel on the

Sidelines during the national anthem while this number is much lower than normal people on social media are furious

Let's get to some tweets Hannah
