how to deal with anxiety step 3. Here are some guiding lines again from me, Mira-
your hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner and personal mentor. In the previous two
videos we talked about a) :Awareness and Acceptance of what is going on
inside of you rather than running away from it . Just facing and embracing it.
Step two is all about b): Breathing, taking a conscious deep breath that breaks the
automatism between trigger and response and creates a time gap of no-thought.
Step three, which I'm going to be talking about in this video is all about c): Choice. In
the time gap of no thought, you have the chance to make a choice. Because this old
story that you have been telling yourself for such a long time, that
creates anxiety, has never served you well, you have a chance now to change
it to a new story, that is more in alignment with who you truly are and is a
story that feels a little bit better, a story that tells you the truth about
where you would rather be and how you would rather feel, how do you want to
feel :calm, grounded, motivated, enthusiastic, curious about what is
possible in your life. Low vibrational feelings like anxiety
are an indication of your previous choice of thought and that's a habit: and
this feels familiar; and that's why you're holding on to it; but just because
it feels familiar, doesn't mean that it's really true. So in this step 3 c): Choice
a chance to make a choice, you are invited to take responsibility for the direction
in which your mind goes every time. Your mind
is an excellent server but it can be a terrible master, if it's left unattended.
Now, when you change the way you look at things, the things that you look at
change. So, take responsibility, become the general, become the leader of yourself,
choose anew, choose for yourself, because most of the old story has never been
true and has never been completely yours anyways. Probably you have just adopted
it from the people around you , the people that you have grown up with, but that
doesn't need to to be so anymore. Think: what are you saying to yourself
right now? Experiment, change a few words, see how it feels and then change a
few more words and gradually take yourself out of this trap
of the old choice. The world 'feeling', we use the word 'feeling' to
denote, to describe our conscious awareness of the vibrational level that
we are at.Anxiety is a low vibrational feeling. Why would you choose it? Is
it serving you well? because if it's not, create anew and that's what step three
is all about. In the beginning it will feel uncomfortable, but yes, you have to
step out of your comfort zone to change the story of you, because the old story is
hurting you and you have identified with it. It is time now is to break this
identification. What is your vision of you the new you? The you, that you
have always known, you were born to be? What is it that you love doing and what
is the best way to be doing while being? Because we are not human doings; we are
human beings and we need to first be and then go and do. Decide upon the best
vision of yourself and in this time gap of no thought that you create through your breathing, keep talking to your mind
about this vision of yourself. always talking in the present tense and always saying:
'I am...' and 'I'm so grateful and thankful that...'. As hypnotherapists, what we do we
perceive the story, the new story, the new vision of how our client
wants to be and take it out of their own sharing and we use this story, this
vision, later on, in the session, to bring it closer to their own subconscious mind
and this is what I'm encouraging you to do. To summarize now the three steps:
First: become aware and accept; face and embrace yourself just right now, where
you are right now, and what is going inside of
you; and then take a deep breath and as you hold it, create a time gap of
no-thought and use this moment to begin talking to your subconscious mind about
who you really are; about your choice; because now you are the leader of
yourself; you have taken the responsibility; yes, you need courage, yes
it's going to be uncomfortable in the beginning, yes, it needs repetition,
like every habit, but it's worth it and the mind is a muscle; the more you
exercise it, it grows and it expands. The question is in which direction it is
going to expand. Don't allow the mind to expand in a direction that you don't
like to go into; just because of habit. Take anxiety as a signal; as an invitation; as
a reminder to work upon you, because that's the only work there is to do. Try
it. See how it goes and let me know. If you need some personal guidance you can
