Gregg Popovich Insults Trump With These Two Nasty Words

San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich hasn't been shy in the past about his dislike of

President Trump.

He's one of many anti-Trump loudmouths who think their job in life is to demonstrate

how supposedly moral and wonderful they are and how supposedly horrible Trump is.

On Monday Popovich lashed out again with two nasty words as USA Today reports.

The context is that Trump has been criticized for saying that other Presidents didn't

usually call families of fallen soldiers but that he does and also writes personal letters.

It was in response to the fact that four US special operators were killed in Niger, Africa

13 days ago and Trump hasn't yet contacted their families but said he will be doing so.

Popovich was very angry about this statement, since Obama did call families of fallen soldiers

and Popovich dropped two brutal, nasty words, calling Trump a "soulless coward" for

lying about it.

"If you look at President Obama, and other presidents, most of them didn't make calls.

A lot of them didn't make calls," Trump said yesterday.

"I like to call when it's appropriate, when I think I am able to do it."

Popovich made the comments to Dave Zirin of the Nation and wanted to make sure it was

on the record.

In the interview Popovich goes hard after Trump.

"I've been amazed and disappointed by so much of what this President had said, and

his approach to running this country, which seems to be one of just a never ending divisiveness,"

Popovich said.

"But his comments today about those who have lost loved ones in times of war and his

lies that previous presidents Obama and Bush never contacted their families, is so beyond

the pale, I almost don't have the words."

Popovich was steaming mad:

"This man in the Oval Office is a soulless coward who thinks that he can only become

large by belittling others.

This has of course been a common practice of his, but to do it in this manner–and

to lie about how previous Presidents responded to the deaths of soldiers–is as low as it

gets.

We have a pathological liar in the White House: unfit intellectually, emotionally, and psychologically

to hold this office and the whole world knows it, especially those around him every day.

The people who work with this President should be ashamed because they know it better than

anyone just how unfit he is, and yet they choose to do nothing about it.

This is their shame most of all."

Wow.

Keep in mind that Popovich isn't new to this.

Earlier this year he said that America is now "an embarrassment in the world."

Different presidents have responded differently to military losses.

President George W. Bush met personally with many families who lost a loved one in the

Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and wrote personally to over 4,000 of them.

Obama met with families at the military funeral home at Dover Air Force base, made phone calls

and wrote letters.

Obama also restarted the policy of sending letters of condolence to families of military

members who committed suicide while on deployment.

Therefore Trump's claim is incorrect.

But everyone makes mistakes, no?

Popovich seems like he's a very bitter man.

What do you think

of Popovich's comments?

Is Trump

a "soulless coward"?
