grab shopping carts and they run into the store and they have lined up just
these giant cardboard boxes full of lots of different products I'll be giving
away this really cute williams-sonoma apron
hi today's video is going to be about what my family calls our favorite store
so the favorite store is down east clearance center so down east this
clearance center is located in Salt Lake City in an industrial district the
Downey's clearance Center received shipments from Williams Sonoma and
William Sonoma owns Pottery Barn Pottery Barn kids teen they also on West Elm
and William and Graham so what happens is a store will received items or people
return items to a store either because they're damaged or there's a flaw or
they just don't want them anymore or maybe they there's just lots of reasons
why they would return something or maybe they did if you have a surplus of an
item and the item didn't sell well so as a result they're discounting it and
trying to get rid of it they get these huge cardboard boxes and they're at
their warehouse center the warehouse center I'll link everything in the
description below if you're ever in the Salt Lake area and you want to go check
out the clearance center they have amazing deals unfortunately though I
just have to tell you we heard one of you know the employees that works at a
clear center clearance center was saying that unfortunately they lost their
contract with williams-sonoma so they won't be carrying at least right
now very many williams-sonoma items so sadly the all these years of like
getting amazing Pottery Barn in Williams-Sonoma and West
Elm things unfortunately I it's gonna be dwindling is what the employee said
but that doesn't mean that in the future they won't get that contract back but if
you do go to the clearance center they have amazing furniture clothing gosh
housewares kitchen appliances kitchen glasses cups like just tons of great
products at the clearance center and what happens is on Monday everything at
the clearance center is what they call full price so whatever they're charging
for it it's going to be full price and then on Tuesday it is 10 everything in
the store is 10% discounted on Wednesday it's 20% on Thursday 30% Friday 40% and
then on Saturday 50% the trick is to make it there on Monday
because that's when they bring out all the boxes and their brand-new boxes that
haven't been open what happens on Mondays there's a huge line of people
that gather when they get ready to open and then they run in the store kind of
reminds me of like supermarket sweep if you everything has seen that TV show
they grab shopping carts and they run into the store and they have lined up
just these giant cardboard boxes full of lots of different products and people
are like grabbing stuff I've seen grown women fight over like gorgeous blankets
and towels and people like hop in the cardboard boxes or tip the cardboard
boxes on the side or you know jump in and start like digging through and so
there are the people that are in line are resellers and these resellers you
can find them on the eBay a lot of them are eBay some have their own websites
and what they do is they go to this clearance center and then they will buy
up just tons of stuff and then resell it what happens is some of these items come
with monograms so they'll remove the monograms or maybe in the description on
on eBay it'll say there's a tear or there's a damage or maybe if there's
some type of like you know defect there's a way they can wash it out or
stitch it up but if you ever go on eBay and type in like Pottery Barn then
you'll be able to see just a lot of the resellers that are in Salt Lake that
resell all these items so it's really competitive some of these people do it
full time like that's their main income and they're very competitive so what we
did is we went my mom and sister and I and we stood in line and we
so to get like the real experience my mom and sister and I stood in line we
grabbed shopping carts and ran to the back of the store where they have like
all the giant boxes of all the items so what I'm gonna do is go through and do
basically a haul of the stuff that I bought that time and then just some
other stuff that I've I I have and what I'll be doing on my website you can go
there and a few of these items I'll be selling at cost and then I'll be doing a
giveaway all you have to do to get this gift to get this apron this
williams-sonoma apron it's really cute it's a bumblebee you have to subscribe
and then in the comments just say apron and then in a week I will do the drawing
so here are just a few things that over the years that I bought or that my mom's
bought and given to me so I'll just go through those first and so this is
Pottery Barn teen and I just use this as like a cosmetic bag and you can
see right here this is where there was stitching where it would have had somebodies
like monogram their initials on there and maybe when they were
monogramming it there was a mistake or they did the wrong letter so instead of
like unpicking it or sending it to the person they set it aside and then ship
it out to down east so this leather tote is mark and graham
it's owned by Williams-Sonoma and it's a two hundred dollar tote so what you
would do is you would get your monogram right there or on either side as you can
see it has like some defects right here it's like it's been scuffed but it's one
of the few purses or totes that I've seen that doesn't have a monogram
normally something will be monogrammed wrong and they'll return it and it makes
its way to Downeast clearance center so it was two hundred dollars and I paid
$25 for this so this is a cute one a nice leather tote it's really high
quality and it's got suede on the inside so that's a really good find I got
here's this one also and this one is from marking gram and I
haven't used it yet but normally this is what I was telling you about so it has
the monogram so my mom's really good at unpicking the monogram social and pick
that for me and then you won't be able to see it I'm gonna use this for like a
beach tote it's from mark and Graham and I paid $10
for it and it's got like really nice leather handles and is a cute tote it's
got nice pockets on the inside and I didn't see it on their website so there
wasn't anything like it but their bags are I would say this might be like
around $100 maybe $120 somewhere in that neighborhood all right so another thing
that I got was this apron this one retails for $35 and I got it for $3 and
it was still in the packaging brand-new I can't figure out what was wrong with
it because there's nothing wrong with it but it says be happy and it has some
bumblebees on it it's a pretty cute apron so that was a good find and this
will be my giveaway one of my favorite finds from when we went just recently is
this gorgeous West Elm throw it is it retails I found one similar but this one
must have been from another season that's another thing with items that
show up at the clearance center they might be from six months ago a year ago
two years ago because they have two that season goes by everyone returns the
things they don't want and then they collect it and then they ship it out to
the clearance center so this is it's acrylic it's dry clean only and it
looked like it was a retail $40 when I found something similar to it it's super
soft and I got it for $10 so it's a great deal and I am really looking
forward to using this it's pretty cute this is a cosmetic bag and it is from
it's from marking gram it's cute it has green on the inside and hot pink on the
outside it was monogrammed and my mom removed it
for me this was two dollars and I would say I couldn't find the exact kind of
this bag but it's about $60 on their website some
similar ones and it's great I put on some I like shampoo-conditioner when I
travel and it's really sturdy and then I just like throw it in my luggage these
next three items I'll be selling on my website so if you're interested in

I love Pottery Barn towels this one rate retails for $29 and I got it for $3 and
it had somebody's name stitched right there and my mom unstitched it so you
can kind of see a little bit you know where the thread used to be but this was
three dollars it's a really cute beach towel and then this other towel if this
is just a regular towel and their towels range from $14 up to $14 all the way up
to $50 so and this one was also $3 and it's a really nice strike towel and this
is actually it's a Pottery Barn Teen so I'll be selling this on my website for
$3 and the other shark towel for $3 and on here I don't see an area where it was
monogrammed I'm not seeing that it was monogrammed if it was oh yeah it looks
like it was so it was monogrammed right here but my mom removed the monogram you
can see the initials right there alright and so the last one is one of the best
it's their blankets so this is it's a Pottery Barn blanket and I just went on
their website and it retails for $50 it's super soft and fuzzy this color was
more for the holidays they saw they like a white and cream one and I bought it
for $8 so if you're interested in this soft fuzzy blanket it'll be on my
website and there was a monogram that was removed see their initials were
