I am gonna show you my first week at the university of Illinois at Urbana Champaign as an Exchange
Student so let's jump into it

it's sunny and raining at the same time it's
pretty crazy today I am going to
the orientation for intetnational student and I will see
how it goes to be honest I am already late
I should be there at 9:45 and it's 9:40
there are some bars, mcdonalds, food places to buy clothes
but it's not that big, it's alright

Ice breaking activities

come on so the first thing is.. educational session part one okay cool!
so we did a couple of lectures about how to be a successful students and it was pretty interesting
was worth going actually at some point the financial one was pretty boring I would say
it was like so much money and I don't really care
so still deciding what to eat probably we are gonna go for Dorritos
no... burritos first tacos... there is free food everywhere I can get whatever I want
it is a dream, I am gonna cry
went for the tacos and burrito some people they've got pizza
some people they got

there is no queue for the pizza
and then we go also the ice cream that's the entire place where you can get
whatever you want if you got a meal plan on probably for free as well
Nachos italian food pizza salads any drinks it's crazy

so we went for lunch now we're going to have a presentation with our leader, Victoria

just finished the orientation it was pretty interesting they explained us a lot of
things even about Slang
it was absolutely crazy
Now I have some free time, I am probably gonna check for some jobs online
I need to check my health status and stuff like that
So I am gonna ask these things and I don't know
it's pretty cool
Now I am just going around the campus and it seems amazing
I want to see the computer Sciene building
because I have never been there, and it looked very nice on the google Image
I just found the computer science Building
that looks so cool I want to go up there, let me try

well I didnt film my ice skating techniques but here is a picture with me
and a shark if you want but I was scared about my camera and falling over
but surprisingly I didn't fall any single time yeah
me Filippo ice-skating and not falling yeah it's hard to believe but it is true
haha yesterday after the ice skating we went to a bar to have some drinks it
was pretty nice not too bad Murphys is sort of Irish pub but it wasn't
Irish at all but anyway
the beer was quite cheap it wasn't a pint
but it was two dollars for a beer I just remember that the more you drink that
beer and the more you hate it
so now for lunch we got $10 for whatever we want
for free food we got spaghetti with meatballs Caesar salad and I don't know
what that is and then she got the same she got Pepsi we got burritos tacos
I'm gonna die soon but it's alright so the food was ok, spaghetti with meatballs
the it was like a lake of tomato sauce you see you can you can go fishing here
but the salad was alright, it was a salad nothing else,
Vic is my one of my two international
leader for this week
and I am gonna bother her for the week
I just went to the medical centre
and in literally 5 minutes, stage 1,2,3,4 boom boom boom
I submitted all my documents and forms and they are so efficient so well
organized it was the same also for the ID card like in one minute I was done
just to have an Idea compared to England i remember it took me so much time
even to get like a document
this should be the south quad
everything is massive I mean 20 minutes to get from a place to another I need to
get a bicycle a bike
we are on the bus now
fun night it's crazy free food, free
free pizza
it's time to do some quiz
so I think we broke the machine
I also won a t shirt
I am so happy
we are still at the fun night
it's pretty cool everything is free

well that night there was also karaoke

I am italian so I am not gonna sing an English song but an Italian song, hope you like it
I'm also so lucky that my roommate has a car and sometimes we can basically drive
to Walmart it is pretty far from the campus so you can take the bus but
it will take a long time so car is better walmart is huuugee, like almost everything I have seen so far
another experience in America Walmart it's a city
you can even get some fish
some goldfish
technology department
Ikea department
Vitamins
and then I went to the arc which is the recreational center it's a massive
recreational center you can basically play whatever you like there is
basketball there's Badminton there is even Futsal
rock climbing wall two swimming pools one outside 50 meters and one
inside that is still like 50 meters with diving you can do whatever you want its massive
it's crazy they're also pretty cooking class and everything is for free except
the cooking class where you actually need to pay but I mean if you want to
learn sushi you need to pay the chef come on
Today is about Quad organisations
we are gonna have a look at more than a thousand of organizations see what we like what we
should sign up for everything is free hopefully there's gonna be free food
let's see what's gonna happen
there is even quidditch guys
this is Illinois
i found out that there were four photography clubs
and I was like whoa in Birmingham there is only one here they are four anyway I
am planning to join one of those clubs and hopefully a sport
I'll do the tryouts for soccer I don't know let's see what's gonna happen
worst case I'm gonna start dancing I am gonna start doing some swing
