thanks for joining me today we're going to cover a few things one being the
surprise you might get when you take off someone's polish and you see these white
spots these are not a typical fungus they're actually called white superficial
onychomycosis in a quick explanation with a lot of words that you are not
going to understand and then I'll explain it in plain English
it's basically an infection of the nail plate or dermatophytosis it's caused
from a dermatopitic specise that live in soil they're basically soil saprophytes that
have acquired the ability to digest keratinous debris in soil and they've
evolved to being capable of parasitizing keratinous tissues so in plain English
this means scrub under your toenails after gardening or a microsporum could
start eating your toenails and please stop flipping out that I don't have on
gloves because I will wash my hands thoroughly when I'm finished and use
germ killer to ensure any microsporeums have not gotten on me and won't eat my
nails and remember every person that touches dirt has the same risk
and importance before doctor and and so that was just before Sunday anyway and
got to the hospital I had to get an ambulance form I was afraid to drive
with the blood pressure that high and I got there at nine o'clock and I didn't
leave until 2:30 and they did not give him any lopressor which is the drug to
start bringing your blood pressure down... have you ever taken up someone's nail polish I like to find
a bunch of white box underneath a nail sometimes white spots are just dry spots
and sometimes white spot are white superficial onychomycosis and it's
caused from one of the spores, there's different forms of bacteria and
microorganisms that are in soil and this one eats keratin so it's in the nail and
it's actually trying to invade your nail plate and I get a little ahead of myself
in this video I should have applied some callus eliminator to the bottom of her
foot and wrapped her foot in the towel before I started taking off her polish
but we started chatting and I just got ahead of myself and I'm
going to apply the cuticle remover so it has time to penetrate into the dead skin
so very easy to remove then I'm going to clip and file the nail
sometimes clients toes are really difficult to hold on to
especially if they've had surgeries done on them in the past she's had surgery
for her hammertoes so she has pins and her second and third toe and they've
also been sewn together so sometimes you have to file in a vertical directions
that have a horizontal direction to file the free edge

yeah yeah I did oh the education and the care that
people get from places and then they come in and talk to me and I see I just
thought people don't have very good pedicure education and it's not
something that they teach in school it's a lot easier to remove the dead skin on
the cuticle when it is still a little bit wet so I always add another layer
of cuticle remover before I start pushing back your cuticles with the
cuticle knife
yeah difficulties of having two toes joined together
kinds of things that different videos meet the needs for all kinds of people
it's an extra income revenue stream for us to for sure because what every time
something looked at the video they have to pay for it well they don't pay for
an advertiser pays for
so do you have to photograph both feet or just the one foot sometimes I'll
edit stuff out and just do one if I'm doing the same thing or I'll do one
foot real-time and then I'll speed up the work on the other foot just to they
say that what am i doing see okay you stuck with a bit I think I just got too
busy talking I forgot to do that before I that happens I
always tell them my motto for my youtube channel is real life real situations
real learning and this is part of real life I started running my jabs that I
forgot to put off your callus softener so in an additional video I addressed
the callus on the bottom of her foot and she talks about speaking to her doctor
and I'll tell you why it's important to hear those calluses
smaller okay all right you can put that foot back in
i had been going get special shoes because he was worried about that
callus breaking down
it could get infected
so I looked up her history when we were finished to see exactly how
long I had been doing her toes and I've been doing her pedicures and manicures
for 15 years now
I won't get them ahead of myself on this one, here I apply the callus eliminator to the
bottom of her foot with a brush you don't want to get this on your hands
because it can sting your hands there's not a lot of dead skin on your hand so
it can it's a corrosive substance dissolves the dead skin so it can be
easily removed with a foot file
so have you been to the new theater here in town no not yet we were going go tonight because one of our movies that we've been
waiting for to come out the guardians of the galaxy movie but William got
pneumonia three days ago oh yeah so my little sweetie is still at home sick
on antibiotics
the white spots aren't as bad on this foot they'll be easier to get rid of
having a heart attack and it must be from the nerve compressions and my neck
when there is a lot of dead skin and you cant really see what has been removed and what needs to be removed take a towel and just rub the nail plate
take a towel and just rub the nail plate in the cuticle area pretty hard to get off all of that dead skin so you can
see exactly what you're working on
I believe it's unrealistic to think that you're going to cure this in one
treatment because you don't want to thin out her nail so much so you're going to
file off as much discoloration as you can treat it with the liquid to help kill
the microsporeums and then when she comes back in a month or so see what the
progress is and if it has grown any more then file off the rest and retreat
again and she will be treating at home with a topical that she's going to buy at
the salon and take it home and use it
it is time to polish I'm going to clean her nail plate off with pure acetone and then I'm going
to put one more drop of treatment on those nails and then we're going to base
coat two coats of Polish a coat of glitter polish top coat and some
cuticle oil
before I put the polish brush back into the bottle I clean it off with pure acetone just to
make sure your not going to spread it to other clients
her toes are pinned because she used to have hammer toes she had surgery for them so
in order to polish properly you kind of have to put your finger in between the
toes and just press down so the toenail can be in the position
where you can polish
