This is my favorite t-shirt.
Want to know about it?
It demands nothing from me.
I can just throw it on and walk out the door.
It breathes really well.
This is cotton.
It fits my personality.
It shows people on the outside, I guess, what I'm feeling like on the inside.
The sleeves are not too tight.
If I have a good shirt, I will wear it more often.
It makes me feel good and at home in my body.
Our customers are really loyal and they want to support us, but we failed them.
This is an example of a shirt that I hate.
It's not a good fit for me.
Every day we get a complaint from a woman who has a t-shirt that she waited a month
to receive and she couldn't even get it over her head.
A size larger than what I'm supposed to be.
We thought from the beginning, honestly, that we were pretty progressive guys.
We were going to make t-shirts that would fit everybody.
We learned pretty quickly that that was a problem.
Dang it.
It's been pretty devastating to realize that our largest women's shirt actually
doesn't fit me at all.
Which kind of hurts inside.
Did I like gain weight or something?
It just doesn't fit me and I don't feel the way that I want to feel when I'm wearing it.
The design industry is really male dominated, so when we do get designs from female designers
we get really excited.
It's just an awesome t-shirt, but it doesn't fit me.
That's pretty heartbreaking, especially when they were so excited to get their design
on Cotton Bureau and they put it on and it doesn't fit.
It's like arm prison.
I don't understand, what this is?
This t-shirt makes me feel really sad.
It's too tight!
Cotton Bureau's tried a lot of different wholesalers.
Nothing really exists that has the fabrics we want, that has the colors we want, that
has the quality we want, that is made in the USA, that's made in an ethical way.
Pursuing Blank is really the only way to check all those boxes.
Blank is Cotton Bureau's answer to the wholesale t-shirt industry's women's sizing problem.
We started talking to brands and manufacturers—people who could give us some insight into what we
should be doing, what we shouldn't be doing.
Then we moved on to the next phase, which was hiring a factory and a fabric mill.
We did a fit session recently with some models who were also customers of ours and for the
first time we had a shirt that actually fit them.
You're not paying for a bunch of research and a bunch of planning.
This is purely backing the shirts and getting them out the door.
We hope to make this into sweatshirts, tank tops, v-necks, but for right now, we're
focusing on one product.
That's the beginning and not the end.
We really see the Kickstarter as the launching pad for us.
It's going to allow us to put more shirts out there.
The most important part of this process is we're doing this all for our customers.
This is my new t-shirt from Blank, and I love the way it fits.
This is a size medium.
It would be great if every shirt I wore was fitted like this.
It feels so nice, already like lived in.
It makes me feel like a model somehow.
I'm winning.
I love this shirt.
I'm happy.
And I'm comfortable.
I'm so excited to finally be able to offer something that fits more of us.
That fits all of us, and fits our customers.
I'm going to buy more of our shirts now.
I'm going to buy all of our shirts now.
